Levi winced at Jason's harsh words, his hands tentatively extending towards the agitated monster. "I... I'm sorry about that. I don't control the food schedule. But I can try to help, okay?" He offered a gentle smile, hoping to calm Jason's rising frustration. "Let me get you something to eat, and maybe we can talk about making this place more bearable for you."
Levi stood, brushing off his knees, and made his way to the door. He punched in the code, the electronic lock disengaging with a soft click. "Wait here, I'll be right back," he reassured Jason, before stepping out into the sterile hallway.
Inside his personal quarters, Levi rummaged through the cabinets, searching for a snack that might appease Jason's hunger. His fingers brushed against a wrapped energy bar, which he grabbed along with a bottle of water. These weren't gourmet, but they'd do in a pinch.
Returning to Jason's habitat, Levi approached the mattress, setting the food and drink beside the monster. He kept a safe distance, not wanting to spook Jason further. "Here, take a bite. It's not much, but it should help for now," Levi said, his voice soothing. "I'm Levi, by the way. I'll be your... handler, I guess, while you're here."
