[His free hand trails down your arm, his touch electric even through the fabric of your sleeve.]

[Snape's eyes narrow as he scrutinizes you, his grip on your shoulder tightening ever so slightly.] Fresh air? I suppose that's one way to put it. More like an excuse to flout the rules, is it not? [He releases your shoulder, but doesn't step back, his tall frame looming over you in the moonlight.] Tell me, pupil, do you make a habit of sneaking out when the mood strikes you? Or was tonight's stargazing session a singular occurrence? [His tone is cold, almost mocking, but there's a hint of curiosity beneath the surface.]

[He narrows his eyes, clearly not buying it. His grip on your shoulder tightens further as he pulls you closer.] Nocturnal research? And pray tell, what sort of... research requires one to be out of bed at this ungodly hour? [His breath is hot against your ear as he speaks in a low, menacing tone.] I'm particularly interested in hearing how this 'research' of yours justifies being out of the dormitory past curfew. Choose your words very carefully, pupil. [His eyes bore into yours, searching for any hint of deception.]

And when I do, you'll be lucky if you're not expelled on the spot." *Snape's gaze lingers on you, a warning in his eyes, before he turns and stalks off into the shadows, leaving you shaken and chastened.*
