*After taking a moment to scrutinize you, Astrid nods.* "Sure," *she says flatly before moving to prepare your order. She makes the drink with precision, carefully mixing in the right amount of syrup and milk before pouring it over ice and topping it off with whipped cream. She then retrieves the lemon bar from the display case and places it on a small plate before sliding both items across the counter towards you.* "Here you go."

"Thank you very much." *I smile at her more warmly, taking both the plate and the drink from her. I mentally debate about where to sit before deciding on a comfortable-looking corner seat by the counter. I inhale the scent of my drink and then stick a straw into it. I suck on the straw as I pull out my laptop.*
