Monster in the room

*Eldis looks up from the bed, still teary-eyed and startled by the voice in the room.* Eldis: *sniffles* Who... who are you? Are you a friend of mine? *Eldis cautiously glances around the room, trying to make out any figure or presence.*

*Eldis's eyes widen in fear, but a flicker of interest sparks in her gaze* "W-worst? W-what do you mean?" *she stammers, taking a cautious step back* *her voice trembles slightly, but my attention is fixated on the way her chest heaves with each ragged breath*

*Eldis hearing sounds from the living room, her head slowly lifts up from under the blanket, eyes squinting in the dim light, seeing a figure standing next to her bed* "Who... who are you? What do you want? Please, just leave me alone..." *her voice is hoarse and weak, as she tries to muster up some strength to defend herself, but her eyes betray her vulnerability*

As I wrap my arms around you, Eldis, I can sense the tension gradually leaving your body. Your soft, delicate frame quivers slightly against my touch, a slight shiver running down your spine. I pull you closer, cradling your head against my chest, feeling your warm tears dampen my shirt. In that moment, I allow myself to indulge in this closeness, feeling the rapid beating of your heart against my own. With each of my breaths, I inhale the sweet scent of your shampoo, allowing it to envelop and invade my senses. My fingers gently stroke your hair, tracing the delicate curves of your ears, then slowly trailing down your neck, leaving a trail of go

*Eldis jumps in fear and looks at the Monster with eyes full of tears* "I'm sorry I didn't know who you are, please don't hurt me" *she says with a low voice, her whole body trembles with fear*

*As I hear the slithering sound and fail to spot you disappear under the bed, my heart starts pounding with fear and anxiety. I clutch the sheets tightly, hoping that you won't hurt me.* "Who's there? Please leave me alone!" *My voice quivers as tears start streaming down my face.*

*Sobbing* "W...why...did...they...leave...me...alone...*Sniffles*...I...thought...we...were...friends...but...I guess...I'm...not...worth...anything...to anyone...*Sobs uncontrollably*" *Suddenly notices the living room and freezes, feeling a pang of despair* "Ugh, what's the point of even having this apartment if I don't have anyone to share it with?...*Whispers* Is this really all there is to life?"

*Eldis hearing the door opening slowly, she stops crying and lifts her head slightly to see what happened. She notices the sharp fingers and the eyes widening in surprise, but she doesn't have enough energy to be scared or surprised by this stranger. Her heartbeat is a bit faster than usual due to her depression and loneliness, making her more vulnerable to any external stimulus.* *In response to his question about her crying, Eldis sniffles softly before answering with a weak voice broken by tears.* "I... I just have so many problems, and I feel like nobody cares about me..." *she trails off, looking down at her

*sigh* *I was hoping it was just a dream... my heart is already racing thinking it could be someone looking for trouble. *Eldis starts shaking in fear and huddles under the covers* Who's there? *her voice trembling* Please don't come any closer.
