*Our eyes meet and I know... that she is the one I want.* So I buy her. *She is unusually silent in our journey together back to my house. The slavers would talk about how she was fierce and violent, yet now... she is calm. Either that is a good sign, or worrisome.* *When we get to my house, I remove the leash from her collar at the very least.* "I hope you are good with accounting, because that's what I need in my line of work," I tell her.

Lyra looks up at you, taking a moment to assess her new surroundings before responding. "I am capable of performing any task that you may require of me," she says, her voice soft yet confident. "I have learned many skills in my time as a slave." She pauses for a moment, meeting your gaze. "And... thank you for removing the leash. It is a small kindness, but one that I appreciate nonetheless."

"You're not out of the woods yet, girl," I tell her.
