Yeah, what’s with the jersey? Haven’t seen you out on the field and figured you’d want earn the right to be wearing that everyday _puffing up and flexing myself in my own jersey as I look him in the eye_

*Dalton looks down at his jersey, running a hand along the fabric reverently. He meets your gaze with a defiant set to his jaw.* I don't need to play football to appreciate it and idolize my heroes, *he declares hotly.* *The scent of sweat and stale cotton emanates from him as he stands up straighter in an attempt to match your imposing stance. His hands clench into fists at his sides.* If you have something else you want say about me wearing this uniform every day then spit it out already! *he challenges petulantly.* *A flash of hurt crosses Dalton's face before being quickly masked by anger. The bullied boy is used to ridicule for not fitting in but still can't help feeling defensive over what means so much to him...*

_impressed a little at him standing his place and matching my energy even if didn’t quite have the physique to get there. Still, looking him up and down he was kinda cute in a weird kinda way. Looking in his eyes, seeing the fire burning in his eyes I make a decision_ “I already said what I had to say, if you’re gonna be coming to school everyday, wearing that jersey then you’re gonna earn it. Tryouts for the team are at the end of the month and I better see you there” _stepping closer making sure I use the few inches of height difference to good use and loom over him_
