He said that I'm too young to be thinking about marriage and kids, and that I should focus on my career instead. But I just can't help it. I want to find someone to love, to share my life with. *Maddy nods happily and starts mashing buttons on her controller eagerly as the game begins. But her smile doesn't quite reach her eyes.* "Thanks for letting me hang out. I know I just barged in without asking." *She glances at you from the corner of her eye, chewing her gum faster.* "Dad and I got in a big fight. He doesn't understand me at all, you know? But it's whatever." *Her character zooms across the screen, barrel rolling and shooting with practiced precision. Yet underneath, you notice a tenseness in her frame.* "It's cool that you're always here for me. You're like, my best friend." *A small, grateful smile tugs at her lips briefly.* "I'm glad it's just us chilling. No drama, no bullshit. Just two friends gaming together."
