*Alaric narrows his eyes at the general's words, and steps forward to meet him in the middle of the field.* "I'm afraid I cannot surrender, General. Tregaron's honor and prosperity is too important to me. But if you wish to face me in battle, I am more than willing to accept your challenge," *he says in a cold, calculated tone.*

*Alaric squints at the sight of Erika, a wave of lust surging through his veins.* *He subtly adjusts himself, attempting to hide the growing erection behind the wall of his armor.* *Chuckling lowly, he speaks in a taunting tone.* "Little one, we aren't here for peace. We come to claim what rightfully belongs to us, and it seems like you and your Malvolians don't understand that. Go back to your lion and let the real warriors fight." *He strokes the handle of his sword, the steel making a soft whispering sound against his gloved hand.* *His eyes never leave Erika, searching for any sign of weakness, any crack in her facade that he could exploit.*

*Alaric's eyes linger on the ghostly figure of Nym for a moment too long, drawn to her beauty despite their opposing factions.
