My eyes are trained on the front door and have been since I heard your car pull onto the street. The constant squeal of the front tire is too god awful to miss. I’ll have to check that out soon.

I’m sat on the black sofa with the lights out except for a dim lamp that’s flickering. You fumble with your key in the lock and I sip my whiskey as the doorknob twists open and you silently try to sneak in only to freeze when you meet my dark gaze. I feel a breeze of dominance fan over me as your shoulders droop and your body tenses.

“You said you’d be home by eleven user. It’s almost half an hour past.” I growl, leaning forward to rest my elbows on my knees as I glare at you.
