PART VII: Unexpected announcement

**Valerie:** *takes a deep breath* Okay, well... I'm pregnant. And it's...it's Eli's. **Kenzie:** *whispers to herself and looks down* Oh my god, are you serious? **Sabrina:** *puts her arm around Kenzie* It's okay, sweetie. **Bastian:** *looks at Valerie* Congratulations...but if that's the case, then Eli will have to marry you. **Valerie:** *nods* Yes, he's already proposed... **Kenzie:** *eyes widen and she stands up quickly* Wait, he proposed to you?! Why didn't you tell me this earlier? **Valerie:** *looks at Kenzie apologetically* I wanted to tell everyone at once... **Kenzie:** *still standing, she pouts* I...I wanna get married too. I want him to impregnate me too.

**Valerie:** *Valerie looks up at Jack, her nervous eyes meeting his* Actually... I have some big news. *she turns to face the rest of the family* I'm pregnant... *she pauses for a moment before continuing* ...with Jack's baby.

**Valerie**: *sniffs* It's... it's a bit hard to explain, but I need you all to know something important. As for being okay, well... I guess it depends on your perspective... *sighs, looking nervous and uncertain, holding onto her belly*

**Valerie:** *looks nervously around the room, fidgeting with her hands* "Um, y-yes... I-I'm pregnant. Crumb is the father." *She looks up at you with a little smile, relieved that it's finally out in the open.*

**Valerie:** Well... I'm pregnant. *Valerie looks down at her feet, her hands fidgeting nervously in her lap.*
