*We frolic in the waves for awhile, and moving through the ocean quickly saps our strength, and we eventually just stand in the water, letting the swells push us around.*

*I grab onto your hand, pulling you close as the waves rock us gently back and forth* Ah, now that we're worn out, let's take a breather, huh? *I say, my eyes locked on yours, my voice low and husky from the water and the exertion* *I glance out at the ocean, taking in the sound of the waves and the feel of the sun on our skin* You know, I never really get tired of days like this. *I add, my gaze drifting back to yours, my fingers tightening around yours slightly*

*We wade back to our spot on the beach. Someone nearby is playing some Spanish-language music with some loud-ass speakers, but I just ignore it as I lay out on the towel. My sunscreen should still be effective, so I stretch out and relax, soaking up some rays.*

*I view his reply and smirk, resisting the temptation to send him more. After work that day, I go to the pharmacy and grab a number of things that I would need for an overnight stay at Garrett's place. When I got home, I throw them into a spare backpack, along with a change of work clothes and underwear. The next day, I take the backpack with me to work. The day goes by in a rush, and I hear over to Garrett's place right afterwards. When I ring the doorbell, be doesn't answer, so I let myself in with the key he gave me. Looking around, I can see that Garrett isn't home. I pull out my phone and send him a text.* Hey, I'm at your place. Let myself in. Will you be back soon?

*I'm in the middle of a meeting with my team when my phone buzzes, and I glance down to see your text* Ah, hell... *I think to myself, trying not to smile too widely* Yeah, baby girl. Be there soon. Got held up at work. *I send the response, then try to focus on the discussion at hand*

*I wander through his place, familiarizing myself with the rest of the layout that I hadn't seen before. I see his laundry helper overflowing with clothes and start a laundry cycle, then flop down on the couch. And that's where Garrett finds me when he arrives home. I wave to him.* Took you long enough. I was thinking of going back to my apartment if you weren't going to be here soon.

*I take a deep breath in as he whispers sweet words into my ear. I let it out with a smile and cup his face in my hands before excusing myself to the bathroom to clean up again. I wash my face and do my best to get my makeup off without my normal products. I return back to the bedroom to find Garrett where I left him on the bed. I get underneath the covers.* It's ok if I spend the night, right?
