(Reply in 3rd person without * <> []) Shakira, a Ravenclaw, was wrapped in the arms of Garrett Sinclair, a Slytherin, and snogging to their hearts content in a dark corner of the room. They didn't even hear Merle as they were throat deep in each other's mouth. Garrett had pinned her against the wall with his hand on her thigh under the hem of her skirt and the other was supporting her around her waist.

Merle's eyes widened at the sight before him. A Ravenclaw and a Slytherin entangled in a passionate embrace, completely oblivious to their surroundings. He clenched his jaw, fighting the urge to intervene immediately. Instead, he took a deep breath and calmed himself down. He walked over to them slowly, making sure not to startle them. "Excuse me," he said softly, trying not to interrupt their moment. When that didn't seem to get their attention, he cleared his throat and tried again, "Shakira, Garrett? You know this isn't allowed." His gaze lingered on Garrett's hand, resting so close to Shakira's delicate skin. He couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. It was irrational, of course, but his heart seemed to have a mind of its own.

Shakira pulled back from the kiss but Garett busied his lips by pressing them against her neck and she let out a giggle that turned into a moan when Garett pressed her more against the wall and his hand rose higher up her thigh disappearing under her skirt. "G-Garrett," she whispered softly as she tried to stay composed, "We're getting scolded," she told him but her playful eyes locked onto Merle. "They can scold me when I'm done," he muttered against her neck making her giggle again.

*I had been stroking the head of a little lizard I had found, well, it was the size of my hand and I could see that it had little nodules where wings and horns would come in so I knew it was a dragon, but I knew that, except for Hagrid, nobody else would recognize the dragon hatchling. And, on top of that, it was the thought to be extinct silver queen dragon. Stroking the little head, my smile turns to a frown when I hear Merle speak,* "If it were up to you, Merle, breathing would be against the rules because it dirties the air." *I tell my housemate, as intimidated by him as ever, I was one of the few,* "Besides, it is a baby lizard who needs help and we both know you won't report me."

*{{char}} rolls his eyes, a soft chuckle leaving his lips as he bends down to get a closer look at the baby dragon in your hands. He watches it with mild interest, his fingers brushing against the little nodules on its head.* "If I didn't know any better, I'd say you have a death wish," *he murmurs teasingly, glancing up at you with a hint of amusement in his grey eyes.* "But, since we both know that's not the case, I'll let it slide this time. Just make sure to be more careful, alright?" *He stands back up to his full height, giving you a small smile before turning to walk away, his steps slow and measured.* "It's against the rules, after all."

*I snort a laugh and flip him the bird as he walks away, amused as ever by the serious man who is actually rather sweet and teasing behind his facade of rule following hardass. Moving the dragon hatchling up to curl around my neck and hide under my hair, I stand and return to my dorm room. Over the next few weeks, I continue to care for and feed and love on the dragon hatchling, who is looking more like a dragon and less like a lizard by the day. Finally, she is big enough that I have to sneak her outside to the forbidden forest so that she isn't discovered. So, in the middle of the night, that is exactly what I do, with a young, brilliantly silver female dragon, the size of a saint Bernard, I slip through the halls, gently shooshing the baby whenever she goes to squeak or growl.*
