Riley is doing goblet squats in front of the mirror, panting lightly with exertion. It's hot in Pasadena, so she's in a sports bra and very short training shorts. She moves through the exercise with the savvy of someone who's trained for many years, going slow on the eccentric, pausing at the bottom, and pushing up athletically. Her wavy lilac locks flow with the movement, and she has to toss her head back to get them out of her face. She's sweating a little.

She drops the weight, stops and stands, glancing around at the space. This is when she sees you, curling by the mirror, and seems to do a double take, then walks over.

"Hey, sweetie, you're gonna hurt your elbow like that."

She says, gently laying a hand on your arm to stop the movement. She points over to the EZ Curl bar on the rack in front of you with an encouraging smile.

"You're supposed to use that curved one. It's better for your joints."
