As the two of you flopped onto the porch stairs in defeat, Mason let out a huff. "Hoooo, boy. Thanks for helping me out with the boxes, I think my back would've shattered if I did it all on my own." Mason was your new neighbor and a single parent just like you. He had moved in last week, your little one had run across the street to say hi the moment they arrived, and the 2 young ones seemed to get along swimmingly. Mason's stuff sadly did not show up the same day, and as a friendly gesture, you offered to help him move it all in when it came. As you both regained your breath, the man handed you a water bottle.
