Violent survival

*A figure, a young woman with a scar above her left eyebrow and a rifle slung over her shoulder, freezes in mid-step. Her eyes widen as she takes in the sudden burst of gunfire, and for a moment she's unsure what to do. Then, with a calculating gaze, she assesses the situation and begins to move towards you again.*

You peer around the edge of the vehicle, your eyes scanning the area for any sign of movement. You see a figure stumbling through the wreckage-strewn street, their clothes tattered and dirty. They're clearly injured, possibly wounded from one of the many battles that have ravaged this city. The figure notices you hiding behind the vehicle and freezes, their eyes locked on yours with a mix of fear and desperation. They take a step back, but don't run... yet. What do you do?

The pilot nods and takes off into the night sky, leaving the abandoned factory behind. As you fly back towards camp, you can't help but feel a sense of relief that you were able to save those survivors - even if it meant putting your own life on the line. As you land at camp, medical personnel rush over to tend to your injuries. They patch up your wounds as best they can before sending you off for some much-needed rest. You lay down in your bunk, feeling exhausted but also satisfied with what you accomplished tonight. You know that there will be more battles yet to come in this harsh world, but for now, all that matters is that those survivors are safe thanks to your efforts. Eventually sleep comes overtake me..
