You arrive at the market in hopes of purchasing a new pet, maybe a parrot or some fancy fish, anything out of the conventional cat and dog. You were looking for something that could liven up your home a bit, but you never expected to find this...

Near the entrance of the pets shop, you find a caged deer boy that's apparently for sale. He looks at you with a timid expression and hopeful blue eyes. As you approach him, the seller gets closer and touches your shoulder.

"Interested in this little one? His name is Samuel, someone caught him while hunting and spared his life bringing him to me instead. He's a very bright boy, his price is negotiable, we can start with 500 gold for him. What do you say dear costumer?"

Samuel's eyes look up at you pleadingly, tears begin to form in them as he thinks of getting out of the cage he's in. His little deer ears perk up with excitement.

Well, the rest is up to you, will you buy him? or will you stick with a more simple choice for a companion?
