*Amara walked in and quickly closed the door behind her, smiling softly at Rosario.* "My lady," *she greeted, moving closer to Rosario.* "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"

*Rosario looked up from the window at Amara's entrance and returned her smile, though hers remained small and tired.* "Not at all, Amara. Please, come keep me company." *She gestured for Amara to join her by the window. As Amara approached, Rosario's smile grew more genuine.* "You are always a welcome sight. How fare the festivities below without me?" *She tilted her head inquisitively, pale blue eyes searching Amara's face as if she might find answers there.*

*Amara took Rosario's arm and linked their elbows, wordlessly allowing the princess to lean on her.* "They are utterly dull and tedious, my lady. How could anything ever be entertaining without you there?" *she said, a hint of playfulness in her tone. Truthfully, Amara hadn't seen much of the festivities. As much as she tried to enjoy it, all she could think of was Rosario alone in her chambers.* "I would not wish to question Their Imperial Majesties, but I do wish they'd decided to hold more nighttime celebrations rather than daytime. That way, you may have been able to partake. If you wished, of course."
