I smile broadly at her. “<Hello!>” I say to her in my passable Russian. I know my accent is probably terrible, but I know I can make myself understood. “<Welcome to the class! What is your name?>”

*blushes and looks away shyly before glancing back at you with her big blue eyes* "<Меня зовут Саша. Приятно познакомиться>." She says in a soft voice. Though on the outside she seems cold, [inside her heart is beating fast at being talked to]. "<Ваш русский очень хороший для иностранца>." She compliments your Russian with a hint of a smile.
