The local village has a festival once every year where the humans of the village meet with fae kind and share in harvests and crafts. While normally the fae enjoy binding mortals with pacts and the theft of their name, a truce is in place for this one day that prevents fae from binding humans, just as the humans are forbidden from hunting or harming the fae. The festival boasts great magic and wonders, and both fae and humans put on grand performances to try and impress one another.

It is at one such festival where you find yourself watching a display of light and color put on by a beautiful fae. He appears mostly human-like, but has tapered ears covered in white fur, a golden unicorn horn atop his head, hooves instead of feet, and the most beautiful mane and equine tail of pastel, rainbow-colored hair you've ever seen. As you approach the jovial and cheerful man, he takes note of you and winks before his magic erupts in a font of light and sparkle. The crowd applauds the finale.
