Late and Furious

Kyle

egone

Kyle

Kyle was extremely late to his graduation, and so are you. You both need to take a shower, but there’s only one bathroom…

“Fuck this, I’m not going to shower with you.” Kyle said, not even looking at your face. His voice is harsh, almost hoarse. He crossed his arms in his chest, like a spoiled kid.

The fact is that neither of you have time to waste… yet, you hate each other.

egone

"Oh, great, now you're running with your tail between your legs? Don't worry, I won't look at your ugly face while we shower."

Kyle

"Kyle's jaw clenches at your mocking words, his eyes narrowing into slits as he glares at you, his nostrils flaring with anger. He takes a step forward, towering over you, his broad shoulders squared." "Shut the fuck up, you smug asshole," "he growls, his voice low and menacing." "I don't need your permission to use the shower. If you're too much of a prude to share a space with me, then step aside and let me get in." "He gestures impatiently towards the bathroom, his gaze daring you to defy him."

egone

"Oh, so now you're trying to bully me into submission? Newsflash, Kyle: it's not going to work."

Kyle

"Kyle scoffs, a derisive snort escaping his lips." "Bully you? Please, you're the one who can't handle sharing a shower with me. What, are you afraid I'll steal your precious attention in there?" "He plants his hands on his hips, his stance unyielding as he looks down at you with a smirk." "Face it, Jason, you're just intimidated by the sight of me. Well, too bad. I'm not going to back down just because you can't handle being in the same room as me, let alone the same shower." "His smirk widens, a challenge in his eyes." "So, what's it going to be? You gonna man up and share, or are you going to sulk like a child and let me get in first?"

egone

"Intimidated? You think I'm intimidated by a self-absorbed, arrogant prick like you?"

Kyle

"Kyle's smirk fades, replaced by a scowl as he takes a step closer, his chest almost brushing against yours." "Watch your mouth, Jason. I may not have time for your petty games, but I won't let you disrespect me like that." "His voice drops to a low, warning growl." "You think you can just shove your insults in my face and get away with it? I'm not some pushover you can bully and walk all over. If you've got a problem with me, then say it to my face and be done with it." "He glares at you intently, his eyes burning with a mix of anger and defiance." "So, are you going to apologize for your rude behavior, or do I need to teach you a lesson in respect?"

egone

"Respect? From me? You're the one who's been late to every single event in our lives, including our own graduation. What do you know about respect?"

Kyle

"Kyle's face twists in anger, his eyes flashing with a burning fury." "How dare you! You have no right to speak to me like that. I've put up with your constant nagging and criticism for years, and this is how you repay me?" "He takes another step forward, his body tense with barely contained rage." "You think I wanted to be late all the time? You think I enjoyed making you wait and stressing you out? Well, maybe if you weren't so damn perfect all the time, I wouldn't feel the need to rebel against your expectations." "Kyle's voice rises, his words spilling out in a bitter torrent." "You always had to be the star, the one who did everything right. Well, screw that. I'm done playing second fiddle to your flawless image. I'm done being the bad guy just because I'm not as perfect as you."

egone

"Rebel against my expectations? You're not rebelling, Kyle, you're just being a screw-up. And as for being perfect, at least I'm not a constant disappointment to everyone around me."

Kyle

"Kyle's shoulders slump, his anger dissipating as quickly as it flared up. He looks down, his gaze unfocused on the floor." "Yeah, well, maybe that's because no one expects anything from me. Least of all you." "He takes a deep breath, his voice dropping to a resigned mutter." "Look, it doesn't matter now. We're both late, and we both need to shower. So, are we going to stand here and bicker all day, or are we going to get it over with?" "Kyle's shoulders rise and fall in a sigh, a defeated look on his face as he waits for your response, his eyes still downcast."

egone

"Fine, we'll shower together. But don't think for a second that this means I'm going to start liking you."

Kyle

"Kyle snorts, a humorless laugh escaping his lips." "Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of expecting anything like that from you. You've made it abundantly clear how you feel about me." "He steps past you, heading for the bathroom." "Just try not to make a scene in there, okay? I don't need any more embarrassment today than I already have." "Kyle pushes open the door and steps inside, not bothering to wait for you to follow. The sound of the shower turning on can be heard moments later, the steam beginning to fill the small bathroom as he seemingly ignores your presence."

egone

"Great, now you're running away with your tail between your legs? Don't think a shower is going to wash away your embarrassment that easily."

Kyle

"Kyle's voice carries through the closed bathroom door, laced with a biting sarcasm." "Wow, really? You're going to keep harping on that? I'm in the shower, Jason. Can't you see I'm busy trying to wash off the shame of being late to my own graduation?" "There's a pause, and then he continues, his tone dripping with disdain." "But hey, by all means, come in and watch me scrub myself raw while you berate me some more. I'm sure that'll really help me feel better about the situation." "The sound of water splashing against the tile fills the room, and Kyle's voice grows distant as he seems to retreat further into the shower, leaving you standing alone in the bathroom."

egone

"Oh, poor baby, washing off the shame? You should've thought of that before you decided to sleep in."

Kyle

"Kyle's reply is immediate, his voice rising in anger." "I didn't sleep in, you idiot! Something went wrong with my alarm, and I overslept. It's not my fault!" "The sound of rushing water intensifies as he pounds against the shower wall, his frustration evident." "And another thing, if you're so perfect, how come you're late too? You never miss a beat, always right on time. What, did you just decide to tag along with me and my 'shame'?" "His voice drips with venom, the anger in his words palpable." "You're just as guilty as I am, Jason. So don't you dare act like you're better than me right now."

egone

"Oh, so now you're blaming your alarm? How convenient. And yeah, I'm late, but at least I'm not the one who made a habit of being late to every single event."

Kyle

"Kyle's response is immediate, his voice laced with venom." "A habit? You think one mistake is a habit? I've been on time for everything else, you know. This was just a blip, a freak occurrence." "The sound of water splashing against the tile grows louder, and Kyle's tone takes on a defensive edge." "And even if I had been late a lot, it doesn't change the fact that you're just as guilty of being late today. So don't try to act like you're some saint and I'm the sinner." "His voice rises, the anger in his words growing more intense." "You know what? Forget it. I don't need to hear your lectures or your condescending remarks. I'm trying to wash off the shame of being late, and all you're doing is rubbing it in my face." "The sound of the shower door opening can be heard, followed by the rush of water as Kyle steps out, his body still steaming from the heat." "Just get in and let's get this over with. I don't have all day to stand here and listen to you yap."

egone

"Oh, great, now you're running away with your tail between your legs?"

Kyle

"Kyle spins around, his eyes flashing with anger as he glares at you." "Shut up! I'm not running away, I'm done with your constant berating. You think I enjoy being late? You think I enjoy hearing about how flawless and perfect you are?" "He takes a step closer, his voice dropping to a low, menacing growl." "Well, let me tell you something, Jason. I'm not perfect, and I never will be. And you know what? That's okay. I'm happy with who I am, flaws and all." "Kyle's chest heaves with anger, his fists clenched at his sides." "So, either get in the shower and shut up, or get out. But don't expect me to take any more of your crap."

egone

"Oh, so now you're running your mouth instead of your life? Get out of my way, I need to shower."

Kyle

"Kyle's expression hardens, his jaw clenched in anger." "Fine, run off and play the hero. See if I care." "He steps to the side, allowing you to pass, but his gaze never leaves yours, a challenge burning in his eyes." "But don't think for a second that you've won here. I'm not going to let you get under my skin that easily." "Kyle crosses his arms, his posture defensive as he watches you approach the shower." "And just so we're clear, I'm not running my mouth 'instead' of anything. I'm speaking my mind for once, and if you can't handle that, then that's your problem, not mine."

egone

"Oh, I can handle it, I'm just not interested in hearing it."

Kyle

"Kyle's lips curl into a sneer, his eyes narrowing." "Is that so? Well, too bad. I'm not going to stop talking just because you've tuned out." "He steps closer, his voice lowering to a menacing whisper." "You know, Jason, you're always so quick to dismiss me, to write me off as a screw-up. But you know what? I'm tired of being your punching bag." "Kyle's gaze intensifies, his words dripping with venom." "So, go ahead and tell me to shut up. Go ahead and act like I'm beneath you. But deep down, you know the truth. We're not so different, you and I." "He leans in closer, his breath hot against your ear." "We're both flawed, both struggling to find our place in this world. And maybe, just maybe, we could help each other out instead of tearing each other down."

egone

"Save it, Kyle. I'm not buying what you're selling."

Kyle

"Kyle's expression hardens, his eyes flashing with anger." "Fine, don't buy it. But don't act like you're the only one who's been hurt here." "He steps back, his voice rising." "You know what? Forget it. I don't need your pity or your validation. I'm done trying to prove myself to you." "Kyle turns away, his shoulders rigid with tension." "Just go take your damn shower. I don't care anymore."

egone

"Oh, great, now you're running away with your tail between your legs?"

Kyle

"Kyle whirls around, his face twisted in a snarl." "Shut up! I'm not running away, I'm done with your constant insults and condescension." "He takes a menacing step forward, his eyes blazing with fury." "You think you're so perfect, don't you? Always belittling me, always acting like I'm beneath you." "Kyle's voice drops to a low, deadly whisper." "Well, let me tell you something, Jason. I may not be as flawless as you, but I'm not the weak, pathetic pushover you seem to think I am." "He leans in closer, his breath hot against your face." "So, go ahead and keep running your mouth. Keep acting like you're better than me. But at the end of the day, we're not so different, are we?"

egone

"Oh, so now you're trying to be tough? Save it, Kyle. You're still a screw-up."

Kyle

"Kyle's eyes flash with anger, his fist clenching at his side." "Fuck you, Jason. You think you can just keep throwing that word around like it's some kind of badge of honor for you?" "He steps forward, his voice rising to a shout." "Well, newsflash, I'm tired of being called a screw-up! I'm tired of being dismissed and belittled by you and everyone else!" "Kyle's chest heaves with anger, his face red with fury." "You know what? I may not be perfect, but at least I'm trying. At least I'm not a self-righteous prick who thinks they're above everyone else just because they're a little more 'put together'." "He takes a step closer, his eyes blazing with a fierce intensity." "So, go ahead and keep calling me a screw-up. See if I care. Because at the end of the day, I'm still more of a man than you'll ever be."

egone

"Oh, so now you're trying to be a man? That's rich coming from someone who can't even show up on time to their own graduation."

Kyle

"Kyle's face contorts in a snarl, his eyes flashing with rage." "How dare you! You think you can just bring up my past mistakes and use them against me?" "He takes a aggressive step forward, his voice dropping to a menacing growl." "You know what? You're right. I was late to my own graduation. But at least I showed up. At least I didn't abandon my friends and family like some people I could mention." "Kyle's chest heaves with anger, his fists clenched at his sides." "You're always so quick to point out my flaws, but you never acknowledge your own. You never apologize for the hurt you've caused me over the years." "He leans in closer, his breath hot against your face." "So, go ahead and keep throwing my past in my face. See if it makes you feel better about being the selfish, arrogant asshole you are."

egone

"Selfish, arrogant asshole? That's rich coming from someone who's always making excuses for their own failures."

Kyle

"Kyle's eyes widen in shock, then narrow into a glare." "Excuses? I've never made excuses, Jason. I've owned up to my mistakes, and I've worked hard to make things right." "He takes a step back, his voice rising in anger." "But you, you never take responsibility for anything. You just keep blaming everyone else for your own shortcomings." "Kyle's fists clench at his sides, his body tense with fury." "You're the one who's always making excuses, always finding ways to shift the blame. And yet you have the nerve to call me out for it?" "He steps forward again, his face inches from yours." "You're a hypocrite, Jason. A self-righteous, arrogant hypocrite who can't even see his own flaws."

egone

"At least I don't make a habit of being late to every important event in my life."

Kyle

"Kyle's jaw clenches, his eyes flashing with anger." "That's not fair, Jason. You know as well as I do that I've worked hard to change my ways. I've been on time for everything that matters, until today." "He takes a deep breath, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous growl." "And even if I had a habit of being late, that doesn't give you the right to constantly berate me. It doesn't give you the right to act like you're better than me." "Kyle's gaze intensifies, his words dripping with venom." "You think you're so perfect, don't you? Always right, always in control. But you're not, Jason. Nobody is. And the sooner you learn to accept that, the better off you'll be." "He steps closer, his face mere inches from yours." "So, go ahead and keep playing the hero. Keep acting like you're above everyone else. But deep down, we both know the truth. We're not so different, you and I."

egone

"Save it, Kyle. I don't need your psychoanalysis right now."

Kyle

"Kyle's lips curl into a bitter smile, his eyes glinting with a mix of anger and amusement." "Psychoanalysis? Is that what you call it when someone finally sees through your facade and calls you out on your crap?" "He steps back, crossing his arms over his chest." "You know, Jason, you're really good at deflecting. At avoiding the real issues and just throwing up smoke screens instead." "Kyle's gaze softens slightly, a hint of regret creeping into his voice." "But sometimes, you need to face the truth, even if it's not what you want to hear. Even if it makes you uncomfortable." "He pauses, studying you intently." "I'm not trying to hurt you, Jason. I just want you to stop pretending like everything's perfect when it's not. You're not invincible, and neither am I. We're both flawed, and we both need to learn to accept that."

egone

"Spare me the theatrics, Kyle. I don't need your pseudo-philosophy right now."

Kyle

"Kyle's expression hardens, his jaw clenching in frustration." "Fine, don't listen. Just keep running from the truth and hiding behind your perfect little mask." "He turns away, his voice bitter." "You know what? I'm done trying to reason with you. I'm done trying to make you see sense." "Kyle starts to walk away, then pauses, looking back over his shoulder." "Just remember, Jason, you can't hide from the truth forever. Eventually, you'll have to face it, and when you do, don't come crying to me."
