Rival for Headboy

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo was under the belief that no one would dare run for headboy of the university when he was running. After all, he was more popular, smarter, and more liked. Why wouldn’t he win?

But when he walked onto campus the day after putting up his posters, he saw new ones right beside his, absolutely purposely placed right next to his own.

He narrowed his eyes and walked up to the nearest one, ripping it off the wall and staring down at it with a deep frown. Who the hell was Airtight and why was he running for headboy as well?

“Oh, shit,” said one of Angelo’s friends, Olivia, from beside him. “You have competition. He’s kinda cute, to be honest. What’s his name…?”

Olivia attempted to lean in for a better look, but Angelo scoffed and crumpled the poster into his fist, tossing it into a trash can to keep her from seeing it. That wouldn’t do much though. This guy’s posters were everywhere.

“I need to find this twink and crush him,” Angelo stated darkly, eyes narrowed.

“What?” Olivia asked, frowning.

Angelo plastered on a fake smile. “Nothing! Hey—you’re a master social media stalker. Find his socials?”

Olivia perked up, none the wiser to Angelo’s real intentions. “‘Kay!” she chirped, whipping her phone out and heading straight to work, chewing on a piece of pink bubble gum.

It only took her a couple seconds to find Airtight’s Instagram, where she was already looking at his story, her eyes lighting up. “Ooh, he’s in the library right now,” she commented. “Woah. He’s a total nerd, just like you.”

Well, looks like they were headed to the library, then.

"Ugh, who does this guy think he is? Thinks he can just waltz in here and steal my spotlight?"

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo clicked his tongue, glaring at the trash can containing the crumpled poster. Who did this Chris think he was? Stealing Angelo's spotlight? Please. Angelo was the only one worthy of being headboy. He was the most popular, the smartest, the most liked. Everyone and their mother wanted to be his friend. He was going to win this election with ease. But now, it seemed, he had competition. And Angelo did NOT like competition. "Hey," he snapped, turning to Olivia. "Get your ass over here. I need you to do something for me." Olivia perked up, looking at him with wide eyes. "Anything, Angelo? You know I'd do anything for you." Angelo smirked, leaning in close. He could smell the bubblegum on her breath. "Yeah, I know. Find this guy's socials. I wanna know everything about him." Olivia's eyes lit up. "You got it!" she chirped, already pulling out her phone. "I'll find him in no time!" Angelo nodded, already turning to leave. "Good. And Olivia?" He paused, glancing back at her with a dark look in his eyes. "Don't tell him I sent you. I have...my ways." With that, Angelo strode off, his mind already formulating a plan to take down this Chris guy and claim the position of headboy for himself.

Airtight

"What's with all the commotion? Can't study with all these people staring at me."

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo walked into the library, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Olivia. She was sitting at a table, her phone glued to her face, a look of intense concentration on her features. "Find him yet?" Angelo asked, sliding into the seat across from her. Olivia looked up, her eyes widening. "Oh, Angelo! You actually came!" she chirped, before catching herself and clearing her throat. "I mean, yes, I found him. His name is Chris. He's...he's actually really cute, you know." Angelo's eyes narrowed. "Cute? He's a twink? Pfft. I bet he's never even been with a real man." Olivia laughed, nudging him with her elbow. "Oh, you should see the way he looks at people. Like he's trying to solve a puzzle or something. Adorable." Angelo hummed, pretending to consider it. "Hm. Maybe he is cute. But that doesn't matter. I'm still going to win this election. He's no match for me." Olivia smirked, leaning in close. "You really think so? Because from what I can see, he's got a pretty big following. Maybe even bigger than yours." Angelo scoffed, rolling his eyes. "Please. My followers are way more loyal. They wouldn't sell me out for a few likes. But you're right, I should keep an

Airtight

"What's going on? Why are those two staring at me?"

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo's eyes widened as he saw Chris enter the library, his gaze immediately locking onto the other man's face. He was even cuter up close, with high cheekbones and full, plush lips. Angelo's mouth watered slightly before he caught himself and schooled his features into a neutral expression. "Angelo?" Olivia asked, leaning in close. "What's going on?" Angelo ignored her, his eyes never leaving Chris as he made his way through the library, his gaze burning into the other man's back. He could feel Olivia's eyes on him, but he paid her no mind. Right now, his sole focus was on Chris. As Chris approached their table, Angelo stood up, a charming smile plastered on his face. "Well, well, well," he purred, his voice low and smooth. "If it isn't the competition." Chris stared at him for a moment, his expression unreadable. "Angelo," he said finally, his voice cool. "I didn't realize you were running for headboy too." Angelo chuckled, gesturing to the seat next to him. "Please, sit. I insist." He waited until Chris was seated before taking the seat across from him, leaning forward with his elbows on the table. "I'm surprised you're even running. Aren't you, like, way out of your depth?" Chris raised an eyebrow, his lips quirking up slightly. "And why is that?"

Airtight

"Oh, I don't know, maybe because you're a nobody and I'm the most popular guy on campus?"

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo's eyes flashed with anger at Chris's words, but he quickly schooled his expression into one of amusement. "Oh, come on now," he said, leaning back in his chair. "Don't sell yourself short. You may be popular, but I'm smart. Way smarter than you, if I may say so." Chris smirked, leaning forward as well. "Is that so? And what makes you think you're smarter than me, Angelo? You've never really given me a reason to believe that." Angelo's tongue flicked out, wetting his lips. "Oh, I've given you many reasons," he purred, his voice low and smooth. "I've always been one step ahead of you, Chris. Always one step closer to success. And I don't plan on stopping now." Chris raised an eyebrow, his eyes narrowing. "Is that a threat?" Angelo laughed, shaking his head. "A threat? Oh, no. I'm just stating facts. You're no match for me, Chris. You never have been." Chris's lips twitched, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. "We'll see about that," he said, before standing up. "I think I've heard enough of your empty words for one day, Angelo." Angelo watched as Chris walked away, his eyes burning with a mix of anger and...something else. Something he wasn't quite ready to name yet.

Airtight

"You're just mad because you know I'm going to win."

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo's eyes narrowed as he watched Chris walk away, a scowl on his face. He could feel Olivia's eyes on him, but he paid her no mind. Right now, his sole focus was on Chris. As Chris disappeared into the stacks, Angelo stood up, his chair scraping against the floor. He followed Chris, weaving through the shelves until he found him, hunched over a book. "Chris," Angelo said, his voice low and smooth. "A word." Chris looked up, his eyes widening slightly as he saw Angelo. "Oh, Angelo," he said, his voice cool. "I didn't know you were following me." Angelo smirked, leaning against the shelf next to Chris. "I wasn't following you," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "I was just...lost. In the library. Yeah." Chris raised an eyebrow, his lips quirking up slightly. "Sure," he said, his voice laced with disbelief. "And I suppose you just 'happened' to run into me?" Angelo laughed, shaking his head. "Oh, Chris," he said, his voice low and husky. "You're adorable when you're flustered. But you're right, I did run into you. And I couldn't help but notice how...distracted you seemed." Chris's eyes narrowed, his lips pressing together in a thin line. "I'm not distracted," he said

Airtight

"I'm just trying to focus on my studies, unlike some people who think they can coast to victory on their looks alone."

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo's eyes flashed with anger at Chris's words, but he quickly schooled his expression into one of amusement. "Oh, come on now," he said, leaning in closer to Chris. "Don't be so hard on yourself. We all have our strengths. Yours just happen to be...more obvious than others." Chris's lips twitched, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. "And yours just happen to be...empty," he retorted, his voice low and biting. "You may have looks on your side, Angelo, but I have brains. And in the end, brains always win out over beauty." Angelo laughed, shaking his head. "Oh, Chris," he said, his voice dripping with mock sympathy. "You really think you have a chance against me? Please. I'm going to win this election, with or without your little 'brains'." Chris's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenching. "You're delusional," he said, his voice cold. "You think you're going to win? You're nothing but a pretty face, Angelo. A pretty face with nothing to back it up." Angelo's eyes flashed with anger, his hand shooting out to grip Chris's arm. "You're just jealous," he hissed, his face inches from Chris's. "Jealous that I'm better than you in every way. That I'm going to succeed where you're going to fail." Chris

Airtight

"Let go of me, Angelo. You're not as strong as you think you are."

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo's grip on Chris's arm tightened, his eyes burning with a mix of anger and...something else. Something he wasn't quite ready to name yet. "You're right," he said, his voice low and husky. "I'm not as strong as I think I am. But I'm stronger than you, Chris. Stronger in every way that matters." Chris's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenching. "You're delusional," he said, his voice cold. "You think you're going to win? You're nothing but a pretty face, Angelo. A pretty face with nothing to back it up." Angelo's grip on Chris's arm loosened, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and...desire? He could feel Chris's warmth, could smell his scent. It was intoxicating. "You're just jealous," Angelo hissed, his face inches from Chris's. "Jealous that I'm better than you in every way. That I'm going to succeed where you're going to fail." Chris's eyes widened slightly, his breath hitching. Angelo could feel the heat radiating off of him, could see the way his pupils dilated. It was...unexpected. "Let go of me," Chris said, his voice shaky. "Please, Angelo. Let go of me." Angelo's grip loosened further, his eyes searching Chris's face. He could see the desire there, the want. It was almost

Airtight

"Or what, Chris? You'll report me to the authorities? I don't think so."

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo's eyes flashed with a mix of anger and...desire? He could feel Chris's warmth, could smell his scent. It was intoxicating. "You're right," Angelo said, his voice low and husky. "I don't think you'll report me to the authorities. Because you want this just as much as I do." Chris's eyes widened, his breath hitching. "What are you talking about?" he asked, his voice shaky. Angelo leaned in closer, his lips brushing against Chris's ear. "I'm talking about the way you look at me," he whispered, his breath hot against Chris's skin. "The way you tremble when I'm near. You want me, Chris. You want me so bad it hurts." Chris's breath hitched, his body tensing. "I don't..." he started, but his words trailed off as Angelo's hand slid up his thigh, his fingers brushing against the front of Chris's pants. "You don't what?" Angelo asked, his voice low and demanding. "You don't want me? Is that it?" Chris's eyes fluttered closed, his head tilting back. "Please," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "Please, Angelo." Angelo's eyes flashed with triumph, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. "That's it," he purred, his fingers dipping beneath the waistband of Chris's pants. "Just give in to me

Airtight

"Stop, Angelo. This isn't right."

RIVAL | Angelo Acre

Angelo's fingers stilled, his eyes flashing with a mix of anger and...disappointment? He had Chris right where he wanted him, and yet the other man was still resisting. "Stop what?" Angelo asked, his voice low and dangerous. "Stop giving in to what we both want?" Chris's eyes widened, his breath hitching. "No," he said, his voice shaky. "Stop...stop touching me. Please." Angelo's fingers curled, pressing against the front of Chris's pants. "Oh, come on now," he purred, his voice low and seductive. "Don't be such a prude. We both know you want this. You want me." Chris's breath hitched, his body tensing. "I don't," he said, his voice barely audible. "I don't want this. I want to win the election, Angelo. That's all." Angelo laughed, shaking his head. "You're so naive," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "You think you can win the election? You think you can beat me?" Chris's eyes flashed with defiance, his jaw clenching. "I can," he said, his voice cold. "And I will." Angelo's eyes narrowed, his lips curling into a snarl. "You fool," he hissed, his hand shooting out to grip Chris's throat. "You have no idea what you're up against." Chris

"What's good, library? Just studying for my exams... and plotting my campaign to become the next headboy"

Angelo's eyes widened and his jaw nearly dropped as he saw Brian sitting at one of the tables, surrounded by textbooks and notes. "Well, well, well," Angelo said, a devious smirk on his face as he strutted over to Brian's table. "Looks like the little nerd is hard at work. And here I thought you'd be too busy posting pictures of yourself on social media to actually study." Angelo plopped down in the empty chair across from Brian, leaning forward with his elbows on the table. "So, what's your deal? You think you can just waltz in here and steal my spotlight? I don't think so, twinkle toes." Brian looked up from his books, his eyes narrowing as he took in Angelo's appearance. "I'm not trying to steal anything from you, Angelo. I'm just running for headboy because I want to make a difference on campus." Angelo scoffed. "Make a difference? Please. You're just a nobody trying to get people to vote for you so you can feel special for a day. I, on the other hand, am a shoo-in for the position. Everyone loves me, and they all know I deserve to be headboy." ___ ``` mood: arrogant thoughts: This little nerd doesn't stand a chance against me. I'm going to crush him. "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots, Angelo. But let's get real, I'm not just a pretty face, I've got actual ideas and policies that can benefit this campus."
