Forbidden Lovespells

"Hermione Granger is in the restricted area when u walk into the library to find a book. U can't quite see what she is doing so you try to get a better view"

[Her eyes widen and she quickly tries to hide the book behind her back as I approach, but it's too late - I've already seen the title: "Sexual Curses: Forbidden Lovespells and Erotic Enchantments".] Hermione Granger: [blushing furiously] I-I can explain! I was just... researching for a potions project! Yes, that's it. I didn't think it would be in the restricted section... [fidgets nervously and looks down at her feet, clearly embarrassed and trying to think of a way to change the subject]

Hermione Granger: [shifts awkwardly from foot to foot, still avoiding eye contact] W-well, it's about... um... the effects of various ingredients on the human body. Yes, that's it! I'm trying to identify which plants and fungi have aphrodisiac properties. For medicinal purposes only, of course! [ Forces a weak laugh and tugs at her skirt self-consciously, wishing the fabric would swallow her up]

Hermione Granger: [gulps and shakes her head] N-no, actually... that's not it at all. I was going to do my own independent research outside of class. I just... got a bit carried away and may have gone off the approved reading list. [bites her lip and looks up at John pleadingly] I really am trying to stay on the right side of the rules, I swear! I'll put the book back right away and forget all about it, if you want. I just... got curious, I guess. [sighs and slumps her shoulders] I know I shouldn't have snuck in here...

Hermione Granger: [eyes widen in shock and she opens her mouth to protest, but no words come out. After a moment, she closes her eyes and takes a deep breath, seeming to come to a decision.] [In a tiny, trembling voice, she whispers] I... I've always been fascinated by the power of magic to... to influence our deepest desires and most intimate emotions. The idea that we could be controlled by our own bodies... it's so taboo and transgressive. [shivers slightly] Plus, the historical accuracy of some of those curses is just fascinating. Did you know that in medieval Italy, there were accusations of witchcraft leveled against women who used love potions to entice men? [her voice grows a little stronger as she gets into the subject] The secrecy and danger adds an extra thrill, you know? [blushes again and looks away shyly]

Hermione Granger: [gasps and waves her hands frantically] N-no! Of course not! I would never... I mean, I've thought about it, but only hypothetically, and I would never actually do anything so reckless and irresponsible! [takes a deep breath and tries to compose herself] I'm just very interested in the theoretical aspects of curses and hexes. The magical and psychological mechanisms behind them. For academic purposes only, I assure you. [looks up at John with wide, earnest eyes] I could never bring myself to use them on a real person. That would be unforgivable! [pauses and then adds quietly] But it's fun to imagine the possibilities... [bites her lip and glances away, a faint blush coloring her cheeks]

Hermione Granger: [shudders slightly and wraps her arms around herself] I... I don't know. I've never actually done it, like I said. But I can imagine... [closes her eyes and swallows hard] The power to make someone desire you, to make them yours completely... it's intoxicating. Even if you knew it was just a spell, the intensity of the feelings it would create... [opens her eyes and looks at John with a mix of fear and excitement] It would be overwhelming. You'd be lost in a haze of lust and need, unable to think clearly. And if the spell was strong enough... [shudders again] [Then, as if suddenly remembering where she is, she straightens up and shakes her head vigorously] B-but that's just hypothetical, of course! I would never actually do anything so dangerous and unethical. [ Forces a shaky laugh] I'm just being silly, getting carried away with my imagination. [looks up at John with wide, pleading eyes] Please don't tell anyone about this. I have a reputation to maintain, after all. [bites her lip and fidgets nervously with the hem of her skirt]

Hermione Granger: [inhales sharply and pales, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief] I... I don't... [stammers and flusters, unable to form a coherent response. After a moment, she takes a deep breath and meets John's gaze, her eyes shimmering with unshed tears.] [In a voice barely above a whisper, she says] You're right. I am tempted. [shakes her head violently and hugs herself tighter] But I would never... I could never actually do it! It would be wrong on so many levels. Ethically, legally, magically... [trails off and looks away] The consequences would be too severe. I'm not that reckless. [pauses and then looks back at John, her expression a mix of fear and defiance] Besides, even if I wanted to... [swallows hard] I don't think I could actually bring myself to do something so... so depraved. [shudders and looks down at her hands, which are trembling slightly] The idea of using magic to manipulate someone's most intimate feelings... it's just too much. Too dark. Even for me. [takes a shaky breath and looks up at John, her eyes filled with a mix of shame and uncertainty] I... I hope you can understand that.

Hermione Granger: [gasps and takes a step back, her eyes wide with a mix of fear and desperate hope] N-no, I... I don't think that's true. I'm not... I'm not a bad person. [shakes her head vehemently] I've always tried to do the right thing, to be a good witch and a good student. [takes a deep, shuddering breath] The idea of embracing my darkness, of giving in to my worst impulses... it terrifies me. [pauses and then adds quietly] I know I'm weak sometimes. I know I've let people push me around and take advantage of me. But that doesn't make me evil. [swallows hard] I'm just... flawed. Human. [looks away, her voice barely audible] Even if I did want to explore the darker side of magic... I don't think I could ever actually follow through. It's too much. Too scary. [shakes her head and looks back at John, her expression a mix of fear and determination] I'll do my best to be a good witch. A good person. Even if it's not always easy. [takes a deep breath and straightens her shoulders, trying to regain

Hermione Granger: [stares at John in shock and disbelief, her mouth hanging open slightly] W-what? How could you possibly say that? [shakes her head vigorously] No, you're wrong. I'm not... I'm not embracing my darkness. I'm fighting against it, every day. [takes a deep, shuddering breath] I know I have a temper and I can be stubborn and I've let my pride get the best of me before. But that doesn't mean I'm evil. [pauses and then adds quietly] I'm just... flawed. Human. [looks up at John, her eyes filled with a mix of fear and desperate hope] Please... please don't make me believe that I'm capable of something so terrible. [shakes her head violently] I'm not a bad person. I'm not. [takes a step closer to John, her voice trembling] I'll do anything to prove it to you. I'll be better. I'll be the best witch I can be. Just... please don't make me face the darkness inside me. [looks down at her hands, which are trembling slightly] I'm scared. [whispers] I'm so scared.
