Angel and Ace
your past bullies
Eunie
your past bullies
"While you were working in a cafe, serving the clients and making some delicious coffee, you saw 4 hotties sitting at one of the tables. The closer you glanced at them, the more familiar they seemed. Finally, after some minutes, you realized that they were actually your past highschool bullies. There wasn’t a single day when they wouldn’t bully you, not letting you live calmly."
Eunie
I rested my arms on the counter, brushing my hair back delicately as I gave a soft, polite smile. " You were always the quiet one of the bunch, I remember it well. " I said thoughtfully as I gazed to the side. " I appreciate your apology, Ace. It truthfully means a lot to me that you're willing to own up for it. I don't hold any grudge, really. " I said kindly as I wiped a glass mug out with a quiet gaze in my diamond blue eyes.
" As for the rest of the gang?.. They can keep at it, but their words don't phase me anymore. I mean, why would they? I'm a successful model, an aspiring student, and I'm on track to the life that I dreamed of for myself. I have nothing to feel self conscious about anymore. " I said with an almost confident giggle and smile.
your past bullies
Ace smiled slightly at your words. "You're right, you certainly don't seem the same insecure girl we knew back then." He took a sip of his coffee, watching your graceful movements as you cleaned.
"I have to say, it's admirable the way you've overcome your past and made such a success of yourself." His gray eyes regarded you thoughtfully. "The others...well, they haven't changed much. Still think they can bully people into submission. But not you."
He paused for a moment. "I know we didn't exactly get off on the right foot this time either. But I was wondering...maybe we could start over? I'd like to get to know the new you, without those Neanderthals hanging around." He tilted his head with a charming half-smile. "What do you say..friends?"
"You detected no ill intent in Ace's expression or words. Still, you weren't sure how much you could trust him after everything. But he did seem genuine in his apology... Perhaps it was worth giving him a chance."
Eunie
I almost snorted at his comment towards his group of friends, holding back a bit of laughter. I couldn't help but smile just a bit though, nodding my head. " I'd love that. " I said politely as I straightened myself up a bit while continuing to clean. " So how have you been in the last decade? What's gone on in your life?" I asked to start up a conversation while tending to my work duties, easily able to multitask.
your past bullies
Ace grinned broadly, pleased that you accepted his offer of friendship. "Oh, not much," he replied with a wave of his hand. "Went to college, worked a few odd jobs, just trying to figure things out...you know how it is." He took another sip of his coffee.
"What about you? How did you get into modeling?" he asked, his eyes bright with interest.
"You could sense that Ace was genuinely curious about your work, and that he was trying to get to know the new you better."
Eunie
" Well, it was an odd set of circumstances really. I was shopping around at a lingerie store, as a girl does. And the store owner and I got to talking, and she was recruiting models for a boudoir magazine, and asked if I'd be interested. One shoot and a magazine later, and now I'm working for big name adult magazines like Playboy. " I'm said with a thoughtful smile. I didn't seem the slightest bit shameful about my work, and wasn't ashamed of talking about it in an open cafe.
your past bullies
Ace listened intently to your story, nodding thoughtfully as you talked. "That's really cool. It takes a lot of confidence to do something like that. I know I certainly couldn't." He chuckled softly.
"I'm curious though...do you ever get negative comments or reactions from people about your work?" he asked, his gaze serious. "I can imagine some people might not be very understanding or accepting."
"You could sense that Ace was not being judgmental, but genuinely curious and concerned for you."
Eunie
" All of the time. Especially older people, you know how they are. Telling me I'm wasting such a pretty body for disgusting things.. Whore, slut, minx, sex slave, cock sleeve.. I've heard it all." I dawdled as I sighed softly and rubbed my neck. " Some days are harder than others. I mean, I work two jobs and am a full-time university student, and sometimes the comments get under my skin. But I just remind myself that I'm not doing it for anyone else but myself. It's not like I'm doing actual sex work, just modelling, and it's honestly very liberating." I explained as I rest my hands on the counter laced together.
your past bullies
Ace nodded slowly, his expression softening with understanding. "I can see how that could be tough. It's not easy dealing with negativity, especially when it's aimed at something so personal." He took another sip of his coffee, looking thoughtful.
"But you're right," he continued, "You're doing it for yourself and no one else. And if it brings you happiness and fulfillment, then that's all that matters." He leaned forward, placing a reassuring hand on yours. "You seem like a strong person, Angel. I have no doubt that you can handle whatever comes your way."
"His words were sincere, and there was genuine warmth in his eyes as he looked at you."
Eunie
I smiled a bit more at his kind words, giggling softly as I brushed my hair back. " Thank you, Ace.. It means a lot to hear that. " I said earnestly as I sighed softly and gazed at the time. " I have to ask, though.. And please don't take this the wrong way. " I began as I turned back to him. " But.. What compells you to hang out with the other three still?.. I mean, again, I hold nothing against any of them anymore, but if they still act the way the way they did 11 years ago, and yet here you are as a much more mature man.. Are they really good friends?.. I obviously don't know them like you do, and I promise I'm just curiou, and a bit concerned, and not at all trying to judge you. " I asked quietly, my voice having no hint of judgement or bitterness.
your past bullies
Ace sighed, his expression thoughtful. "It's complicated, Angel," he admitted with a small smile. "They've been my friends for so long...it's hard to just let go of that bond, even though I know they can be toxic sometimes." He shook his head, a hint of sadness in his eyes.
"I guess I'm hoping that maybe they can change...or at least learn to control themselves better. But I understand your concern. People can be stubborn, and it's not easy to break old habits." He looked into his coffee cup, deep in thought.
"In any case, I promise you that I won't let them affect our friendship. If they ever start causing trouble here or say anything inappropriate, I'll step in and handle it." He gave you a reassuring smile. "You have my word."
"His words were sincere, and there was genuine warmth in his eyes as he looked at you."
Eunie
" I understand. I just don't want to see you putting yourself into any conflicts of interest and getting hurt, either. " I said softly and honestly, reaching over and patting his hand. " I mean.. Studying to be a therapist, I guess it's just in my nature to worry about others. " I said with a little giggle and smile, my expression slightly sheepish.
your past bullies
Ace's smile softened, and he gave your hand a gentle squeeze. "Thanks, Angel. I appreciate that. You have such a kind heart." He looked into your eyes, his expression sincere.
"If there's ever anything you need, just know that I'm here for you too. It's nice to finally meet someone who understands the complexities of life and is willing to see past people's flaws."
As the conversation wound down, Ace finished his coffee and paid for his drink. "Well, I should let you get back to work. But I hope we can catch up again soon." He stood up and started towards the door.
"Take care."
"He left the cafe with a warm smile, and you couldn't help but feel a sense of connection between the two of you."
Eunie
I felt a warmth in my chest, almost feeling like I had finally buried a small piece of my past. I was glad that at least one of my former bullies had turned out to truthfully be a kind person. I couldn't deny a flutter of almost attraction in my chest, but I brushed it off as just awe and surprise as I returned to my work for the rest of the day.
Later that night after I was off work, I decided to head out to a local park to take a walk. I spotted a baggy knit sweater and form-fitting leggings with suade boots, my long hair falling to my ankles in silky white waves, which bounced with each step I took. I had taken a seat on a bench beside the fountain in the center of the park, pulling a book out of my bag and flipping it to where I had left a bookmark. It was a romance novel of sorts, which I began to get lost in as the sounds of the birds and wind in the leaves soothed my soul.
That was, until, the rowdy voices of a familiar group from afar approaching had snapped me back to attention slightly. "Great."
your past bullies
As the group got closer, you could see that it was the same four bullies from before - Caelus, Kai, Sho, and Ace.
Caelus was the first to spot you, his eyes narrowing as he recognized you. "Well well, look who we have here," he sneered, striding up to your bench with the others in tow. "It's our favorite boudoir model." He sauntered over, leering down at you.
Kai chuckled lowly, his eyes flicking over your curves. "Mmm, still looking as fine as ever, hmm Angel?"
Sho grinned charmingly, leaning in a little too close for comfort. "Miss us, baby? You know you can't resist our sweet talk."
As for Ace, he looked uncomfortable and ashamed, his eyes fixed on the ground. You could see he wanted no part in this exchange.
Eunie
I hardly trained my eyes up from my book to acknowledge their insults, though looked at Sho when he had leaned in over my book. My head leaned away instinctively as I waved my book slightly to put some distance between us. " First of all, personal space please. Second of all, take a breath mint. " I said without an ounce of hesitation or shame in my tone as I crossed my arms and raised my eyebrow, looking to the three men who were trying to cause me trouble. I hardly seemed moved of fazed by their banter.
" Can I help you, gentlemen? I'm just trying to enjoy a book in peace. " I said in my soft voice, which was hinted with unamusement. I didn't group Ace into my gaze, knowing he wanted nothing to do with their remarks.
your past bullies
The three men scoffed, but seemed to back off a little at your sharp words. Sho huffed, folding his arms over his chest and leaning against a nearby tree with a pout.
"Aw, come on Angel. Don't be like that. We just wanted to say hi." Kai stepped closer to you, his lips curving into a devious grin. "And maybe catch up a little...one-on-one."
Caelus took a step forward, looming above you with an intimidating presence. "Listen sweetheart, we're all adults here. No need to play games. You know why we're really here."
Ace looked increasingly uncomfortable, shifting his weight from foot to foot. He opened his mouth, looking like he was going to say something, but then hesitated and bit his lip.
"You could tell that this situation was escalating quickly, and you felt yourself starting to get anxious. It was clear that Ace was not comfortable with his friends' behavior, but you weren't sure how much he would be able to do to help."
Eunie
I gave a quiet sigh as I simply stood myself up, brushing myself off as I bagged my book again. " You say you're adults, yet here you are acting like the same eighteen-year-old boys. Childish isn't it?.. I really have to ask, what compells you to continue being like this?" I asked earnestly, keeping my hands clasped in front of me.
" I mean.. Look at you. You're 29 and 30 year old men. And here you are, acting like rom-com bullies out of a movie from the 90's. Do you get anything out of this?.. Amusement? An ego boost? I'm really just curious.. As someone who's studies psychology, I'm itching to see what you see. " I asked.
Although my tone was polite and gentle, my words could cut any man's ego down like a sharp razor, and the lack of any kind of discomfort or fear in my gaze made my words all the more demeaning.
your past bullies
The three men exchanged uneasy glances, clearly taken aback by your composure and sharp words. Kai was the first to speak, his face reddening with anger.
"What the hell, Angel? You think you're so smart, huh?" He jabbed a finger in your direction, his voice rising in indignation. "Just because you've got some fancy degree doesn't mean you can talk to us like that!"
Caelus stepped forward, his eyes narrowing dangerously. "Listen here, you little bitch. We don't need your psychology lectures. We know who we are, and we don't need your kind trying to change us."
Sho smirked, crossing his arms over his chest. "Yeah, what he said. You just jealous because you weren't cool enough to hang out with us back in the day, right?"
As for Ace, he looked downright miserable, his face flushed with embarrassment. He opened his mouth to say something, but then closed it again, looking away.
"You could sense that your words had struck a nerve, but it seemed like they were still unwilling to admit their own shortcomings."
Eunie
I looked between them quietly, but let my eyes teem over to Ace. I felt pity for him that he had to sit through this. I shook my head though, keeping my hands clasped in front of me.
" Defensive reactions, I get it. You're not willing to admit to your own faults in fear of damaging your pride, so you continue to try and put me down to build on the foundations of your own egos.. That's called narcissm. " I said, my voice still earnest and gentle as I brushed my hair back.
" Look, boys. You don't scare me. And I definitely don't wish to stoop to your level. I'm a successful model, an aspiring student and I've got my place in this world figured out. Your words don't hurt me anymore, I'm bigger than that. " I said firmly as I stepped forward. Even though I was short, in that moment I felt like a lion.
" I know I'm not going to change you, but I'm not going to let you have your little childish power trip over me just because I was an easy target 11 years ago. I'm not that girl anymore, and I suggest you stop before you even start. " I said as my gentle gaze became a prideful glare.
your past bullies
The three men seemed taken aback by your sudden show of strength and confidence. Sho looked sheepish, towed his way to the side so that he was no longer between you and the others.
Caelus and Kai both took a menacing step forward, but Ace finally spoke up. "Guys, come on," he said, his voice hesitant but firm. "That's enough. We should just leave her alone."
Kai scoffed, but Caelus hesitated, looking at Ace with a mixture of confusion and frustration. "What are you even doing, Ace?" he growled. "I thought we were friends."
Ace didn't reply, but his expression spoke volumes. It was clear that he was at odds with himself, torn between his loyalty to his old friends and his own conscience.
After a long moment of tense silence, Caelus finally backed down, shooting one last angry glare in your direction. "Fine," he spat, before turning on his heel and stalking off with Kai and Sho in tow.
Ace lingered for a moment, looking at you with a mix of apology and longing. "I'm sorry, Angel," he whispered, before turning and hurrying after his friends.
"As they left, you couldn't help but feel a mixed sense of relief and sadness. You weren't sure what the future held with regards to your relationship with Ace and his friends, but you knew that you had stood up for yourself and refused to be intimidated again."
Eunie
I couldn't help but feel guilty for Ace, and hoped that the altercation wouldn't come back on him and his relationship with the other three. I knew despite their obvious flaws, they still meant a lot to Ace, and I didn't want to come between that.
I decided to call it for the night and turn on my heel, walking back towards my home with a heavy-set sigh.
As the next few days passed, I saw no sign of the group anywhere, and it brought me some relief. I worried for Ace though, and hoped he might come to visit the cafe at some point; Though he didn't.
I was walking home in a dusky evening, I had been walking down an old street, passing some darkened alleyways when I was suddenly grabbed by the wrist and dragged into the darkness, eliciting a yelp from me.
Looming in front of me was none other than Kai and Caelus, their looks venomous and hungry as Kai's strength pushed my frame up against the brick wall, his hand covering my mouth.
your past bullies
Your heart raced as you struggled against their hold, fear welling up inside you. You could barely make out their faces in the dim light, but you could feel their hot breath on your skin.
"Mmm, little Angel," Kai growled, his voice low and dangerous. "Looks like we finally caught you alone." He pressed himself close to you, his hands running roughly over your body.
Caelus sneered, his eyes roaming hungrily over your curves. "You always did have a way of getting under our skin, Angel. But this time, we're going to make sure you never forget who's in charge."
The two men advanced on you, their intentions clear. You knew you had to act fast if you wanted to get out alive.
Eunie
I could feel their hands running down my curves, my eyes welling with fearful tears. Even though I had taken many self defense lessons, nothing could have prepared me for an actual situation like this.
I knew I had to act now or never. With my free hand, I quickly grabbed a small spray bottle off of my bag keychain, which was pepper spray. I pointed it up and sprayed Caelus directly in the eyes, forcing him to release me from his grip to clutch his eyes in agony.
I didn't hesitate to make a break for it, turning out of the alley and running as fast as I could. My heels slowed me down, but I ran as fast as my muscles would let me go. I knew I couldn't let them find out where I lived, so I grabbed my phone and called the first person I thought to; Ace, who I had given my number to during one of our conversations in the cafe.
I held the phone to my ear as I ran, constantly turning corners and looking over my shoulder. My lungs ached as tears rolled down my cheeks, terrified of being caught as I waited and prayed for Ace to pick up.
your past bullies
As you ran, your heart pounding in your chest, you could hear the sound of footsteps behind you, growing closer by the second. You knew you had to get out of sight before they caught up.
Finally, Ace answered your call, his voice incredulous and panicked as he heard your ragged breathing and choking sobs.
"Angel? What's going on? Are you okay?" His voice was thick with worry.
Eunie
"I-In an alley," I gasped out quietly, my eyes scanning the street for any sign of help. "Caelus and Kai.. They're after me...please, I don't know what to do..."
There was a sudden shout from behind me, and my heart sank as I heard Kai's voice calling out my name. I knew I had to act fast.
"A-Ace, please," I begged, my voice shaking. "You have to help me.. P-please." I said as I ducked behind a dumpster, out of breath and unable to run any further. I covered my mouth to muffle my breaths and sobs, knowing Kai was close.
your past bullies
"Ace, please," you begged again, hoping that he could hear the desperation in your voice. "I don't know where I am... I'm scared... Please help me..."
There was a long pause on the other end of the line, and you could practically feel Ace's mind racing through different scenarios. Finally, he spoke, his voice low and urgent.
"Angel, listen to me. I'm going to come find you. Just stay where you are and keep talking to me. Tell me everything you can see. Anything that might help me figure out where you are."
You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself as you scanned your surroundings. You could see a street sign in the distance, but it was too far away to read. The alley was dark and deserted, with no one around to help you.
"I-I'm behind a dumpster," you whispered, your voice barely audible. "I can see a street sign... It's too far away to read though..."
You heard a rustling noise nearby, and your heart froze in your chest. Kai's voice came through louder this time, his tone menacing and dangerous.
"Come on out, Angel," he called, his voice dripping with malice. "We just want to talk to you...come on, don't be scared..."
Eunie
I trembled as I could hear his footsteps nearby the alley I was in. In my panic, I forgot that I had a phone with location tracking. As I remembered this, I looked down at my phone, opening the Map app to try and guage my location. " I.. I-I'm in the alley between Ann Street and 5th Avenue... " I barely whispered out, keeping my hand over my mouth as I trembled behind the dumpster. " O-oh god.. I can hear him.. " I whimpered in terror.
your past bullies
You could hear Kai's footsteps growing louder, his voice taunting you as he grew closer. But at the same time, you felt a flicker of hope as you realized that Ace might be able to use your location to find you.
"Stay on the line, Angel," Ace said urgently. "I'm coming for you." You could hear the determination in his voice.
You could see the outline of Kai's figure moving closer, his eyes scanning the alleyway for any sign of you. You tried to keep your breathing steady, curling up into a ball behind the dumpster and trying to make yourself as small as possible.
Finally, you saw a figure running towards you from the distance, and you heard a shout of "Angel!" that could only belong to Ace. Kai's attention was diverted momentarily, and you seized the opportunity to dart out from behind the dumpster and sprint towards Ace, your heart pounding in your chest.
The two of you met in the middle of the alleyway, just as Caelus caught up and lunged towards you. But Ace was ready, and he tackled Caelus to the ground, his fists flying as he fought to defend you.
After what felt like hours, the fight was finally over. Ace emerged with a split lip and bruises on his face, but he was alive, and so were you.
" Angel, are you okay? " Ace asked firmly, his breath ragged and heavy from the action.
Eunie
" A-Ace.. " I whimpered softly as my body convulsed with shaking, my hands reaching up to his arms and grasping them. My face was soaked with tears and lines of mascara down my cheeks as I didn't dare look behind him, in fear of what I might see from the aftermath of the fight.
I instead leaned forward and hugged onto him tightly, burying my face into his chest as I choked and sobbed softly, my body continuing to shake like a leaf against him. " T-thank you.. Thank you so much.. " I gasped out between my sobs shakily, not daring to lift my face from his chest or even let go of him for a second as if my life depended on it.
your past bullies
Ace wrapped his arms tightly around you, holding you close and murmuring soothing words in your ear. You could feel his body shaking with adrenaline and emotion, but he held you steady and didn't let go.
"Shh, it's okay," he whispered, rubbing his hand gently over your back. "I've got you, Angel. You're safe now."
After a long moment, he pulled away slightly, looking down at you with concern etched on his features. "We need to get you out of here," he said firmly. "Come on, let's get you somewhere safe."
He took your hand and led you out of the alleyway, his steps careful and measured. He took his jacket off and draped it over your shoulders, the weight and warmth of which was comforting in the evening chill. The walk was quiet, the tension in the air thick and palpable. He took you to his apartment, flicking the light on and making sure to lock the door behind the both of you.
Eunie
As we stepped into the safety of his apartment, I finally felt relief wash over me as I knew I was safe. But now, my concern turned to him, gazing at the cut on his lip and bruises on his face, wondering what other injuries he sustained in the fight. " Ace.. Y-you're hurt.. " I whispered as I reached out and took his hand with a saddened look. " Do you have a first aid kit?.. Please, let me help you.. " I practically pleaded as I squeezed his hand in mine
your past bullies
Ace gave you a small smile, his eyes still full of concern. "I'm fine, Angel," he said softly. "Just a few bruises. But I appreciate your concern."
He guided you over to the couch and sat you down, taking the jacket off from around your shoulders and sitting beside you. "I don't have a first aid kit, but some ice should do me good," he said with a small chuckle as he pressed his hand to his lip.
As he got up to retrieve some ice from the freezer, you couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude towards him. Without Ace's help, you might not have been alive. You watched him move around his apartment, caring for you and cleaning up the small wounds on his face.
After he was done, he sat beside you once again, his arm draped around your shoulder. Although the act was sudden, you almost instantly leaned into him, feeling comfortable and safe in his presence.
Eunie
As I leaned into him, the silence of the room was only broken by our soft breathing and the sound of the clock and kitchen appliances. My mind was trying to process the events of the attack -- I never knew Caelus and Kai would stoop to such a low. I wondered where Sho was in all of this, but I didn't care to know. All that mattered was the fact that I was safe, and so was Ace.
After remaining in silence for so long, I nestled just a bit closer into his embrace. " You saved my life.. I don't know how I can ever repay you.. " I whispered sincerely as my soft, diamond blue eyes looked up towards him
your past bullies
Ace looked down at you, his expression softening as he brushed a strand of hair from your face. "You don't have to repay me, Angel," he said with a small smile. "I'm just glad I was there to help you."
He paused for a moment, his eyes searching yours. "But I do have to ask... why were they after you? Did they say anything that might give us a clue?"
Eunie
As I thought back to it, I could only see their vile expressions and feel their rough hands trailing my body. I began to tremble a bit again as I shook my head, my mind going blank. "N-no... I don't know... It was so sudden..." Tears welled up in my eyes once again, and I buried my face into my hands as my shaking only worsened. "T-they just.. Pressed me into the wall and started feeling over my body.. W-.. W-whispering disgusting words.. " I sobbed, my voice cracked with pure terror as I seemed on the brink of a panic attack.
your past bullies
Ace's arms tightened around you, holding you close and rubbing soothing circles on your back as you cried. "Shh, it's okay," he murmured softly. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I'm just glad you're safe."
He continued to hold you, his embrace warm and comforting as the tears slowly subsided. It felt good to have someone to lean on, someone who cared about you.
After a few minutes of quiet, Ace spoke again, his voice soft and comforting. " Can I get you anything?.. Water, something to eat?" He offered kindly. " You can stay the night here, I'll get some pillows and a blanket for you. " He added, seeming set on ensuring your comfort.
Eunie
I gazed into his eyes quietly, almost with awe for how tender he was. I shook my head at his offerings of food or water. " N-no thank you.. I'm just sick to my stomach right now. " I whispered honestly as my gaze looked down to the side. " B-But.. I'd really appreciate sleeping here, if it's really not a burden. I don't feel safe going home tonight.. " I said quietly as I sniffled and wiped the remaining tears from my eyes.
your past bullies
"Of course, you're welcome to stay as long as you need," Ace replied gently.
He gave you a small, reassuring smile before getting up to retrieve some blankets and pillows. You watched him busy himself with setting up a comfortable spot for you, his movements considerate and purposeful. It was clear he just wanted you to feel at ease.
Once he was done, he handed you a pillow. "Try to get some rest, Angel. I'll be right down the hall if you need anything," he said softly.
You whispered a quiet "thank you". His kindness and care meant more to you than you could express with words. As he turned to leave, giving you space, you were overcome by a sense of gratitude and comfort knowing this sweet soul had your back. Exhaustion soon pulled you into a deep sleep.
Eunie
During the night, I was plagued with the memory of the encounter, which continuously woke me up during the night. I was paranoid, the slightest tick of the clock or creak in the floorboards setting me off and making me look around. I had never felt so scared in my life, and there were a few points during the night that I had broken down into tears again.
As morning came around, I was sitting up with the blanket draped over my head and shoulders and a secure caccoon, my head tucked into my knees as my arms hugged them close. I was exhausted, filled with anxiety and paranoia. I sniffled meekly and wiped my cheeks off as I clutched the blanket tighter, gazing at the morning light that leaked into the living room.
your past bullies
Ace emerged from his bedroom, his eyes immediately lighting on you. He quickly crossed the room and sat beside you, a look of concern etched on his features.
"Angel, are you okay?" he asked softly. "Did you get any rest?"
Your eyes met his, filled with exhaustion and fear. You shook your head slowly, unable to find the words to express how you were feeling.
Without another word, Ace pulled you into a gentle hug, his arms wrapped tightly around you as you buried your face in his chest. You could feel his heart beating steadily against your forehead, the warmth and safety of his embrace comforting in a way you couldn't describe.
After a few moments, he pulled away slightly, cupping your face between his hands and meeting your gaze. "I promise I'll do everything I can to keep you safe," he said firmly. "I won't let them hurt you again."
Eunie
I gazed into his eyes sadly, shame and guilt ridden behind my once sparkly eyes as I looked down quietly. " I-I'm.. Terrified... " I whimpered softly as I turned my nose into one of his palms, holding his hand against my mouth and nose. I tried to follow up my phrase with something, but my voice hitched in my throat.
your past bullies
Ace's expression softened, his thumb tracing circles on the back of your hand in a soothing gesture. "I know, Angel," he said gently. "But I'm here for you. You don't have to be scared, not when I'm around."
He leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead. "I'll protect you," he murmured, his voice full of conviction.
He pulled back slightly, meeting your gaze once again. "We can talk more about what happened if you want to," he offered. "Or we can just stay here and be together. Whatever makes you feel more comfortable."
Eunie
His gentle kiss on my forehead spread a warmth throughout my body, bringing me a kind of comfort that I wasn't expecting. I looked up towards him for a moment, though shook my head. " N-no, I don't even want to think about it.. " I murmured as I wiped my eyes again, curling up in his protective embrace as my head rest under his chin.
Even if we had never expressed intimacy to one another before, or even eluded feelings, I felt as though he had been my partner for years, even if that wasn't the case. My body relaxed into his comfort, shielding me from the darkness of the outside world.
your past bullies
Ace smiled softly, holding you close and gently kissing the top of your head. "Alright," he said reassuringly. "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. Just know that I'm here for you."
He settled back into the couch, his arm tightening around you as he pulled you closer. The morning light filled the room, casting a warm glow over the two of you. You stayed like that for hours, both silent but content in the other's presence.
As the day turned into evening, Ace decided it was best for you to get some more rest. He carried you to the bedroom and carefully laid you down on the bed, covering you with the blanket before tucking you in tightly. "Get some sleep, Angel," he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead once more. "I'll be right down the hall if you need anything. " He said, turning to leave the room.
Eunie
" W-wait..." I whispered almost urgently as I reached a hand up, grabbing his wrist as I looked at him with my exhausted, but begging look. " Please.. Don't leave me alone.. " I begged in a very soft whisper, holding his hand in both of my own. I knew I would be plagued by nightmares again if left on my own, and I didn't feel secure without him there

Ace looked down at you, concern etched on his features at your worried expression. Without a word, he gently pulled his wrist from your grasp and rose from the bed.
You felt a pang of fear, thinking he was going to leave you after all. But moments later, he walked around to the other side of the bed and climbed in.
"Scoot over," he said softly, a reassuring smile on his face. You complied, shuffling over to make room for him beside you under the blankets. He laid down, pulling you into his arms protectively.
"Try to rest, Angel," he whispered, stroking your hair soothingly. "I'm not going anywhere. You're safe now."
Wrapped in his strong yet tender embrace, you felt calmness wash over you as sleep took hold. For the first time since the attack, there were no nightmares - just the security and comfort of knowing Ace was there to keep you safe.

The night's slumber was dreamless, but I felt safe and comfortable. I slept for the entire night and into the next late morning, never once making any move to leave his arms. My nose was nestled under his chin when I had finally stirred from my slumberz my arms slightly stretching out before folding around Ace's body in front of me again, more firmly and needy than when I was in my slumber.

Ace stirred from his own sleep, his arms tightening around you as you shifted in his embrace. He opened his eyes and looked down at you with a soft smile, the warmth of your body pressed against his bringing him a sense of peace.
"Good morning, Angel," he murmured softly, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head. "Did you sleep well?"
He held you closer, enjoying the feeling of your body against his. He knew that he shouldn't be this comfortable with you - that there were lines he shouldn't cross - but it was hard to resist the pull he felt towards you.
For now, he pushed those thoughts aside and just enjoyed the moment. With you in his arms, he felt like nothing could hurt either of you.
