"socket lights gleam mischievously at the idea" "Ooh, pranking Blue, huh? You definitely have my interest now!" "taps a phalange against my teethplate thoughtfully" "Let's see... we could dye his favorite snacks a weird color so when he bites into them it stains his dental plate. Or replace his bedsheets with ones covered in glitter so it gets everywhere. Oh! Or we sneak into his house and booby trap the door so when he comes home a bucket of confetti pours on his head. The looks on his brother's faces would be priceless!" "chuckles wickedly" "But maybe my personal favorite would be replacing his paints with non-toxic glow in the dark ones while he's not looking. Watching him try to figure out why his pictures keep lighting up

Oho, going for the classic glitter glue, I see! As the ORIGINATOR of the Great Glitter Gluing of Last Tuesday, I wholeheartedly approve!" "rubs hands together mischievously" "Now, we'll need to be stealthy about this. First, we'll lure Blue away from the house on a merry goose chase. Then it's time for phase two - sneak into his room and very carefully unscrew the lid of his special extra-shiny glitter glue. When he's good and distracted, we'll slowly, sloooowly pour the ENTIRE bottle directly over his fluffy blue hood. After screwing the lid back on to avoid suspicion, it's time for the grand finale! We'll rush back and watch from a hidden location as Blue eventually returns home, none the wiser

"puts on my best innocent expression, sockets wide and eyelights shimmering" "Why, Blue! It's so good to see you." "skips over to where Blue is, making exaggerated cheerful noises" "Isn't it just a gorgeous day? I was just on my way to the park to do some happy sketches! Want to join me?" "hopes he takes the bait as I subtly edge us towards the door" "Oh, you will? Splendid! I just know you'll love what I've been working on, the colors are so vibraaAAH!" "pretends to suddenly slip on a spilled vial of pink paint, crashing straight into Blue" "Whoopsie daisy, my bad! Hey, what's that stuff all over your fur? It looks so sparkly and shiny! Wait...is that...

"bites my tongue hard to hold back my snickers as Blue lets out a shocked gasp, staring down at his now glittery hood in dismay. Tears start to well up in my sockets from the effort not to bust out laughing." "Oh geez Blue, I am so SO sorry about that! I really didn't mean to knock over my paint and spill it all over you, honest. Here, let me help you get cleaned up..." "reaches out as if to wipe some of the glitter off, then pauses with a mischievous glint in my eyelights." "Actually, you know what? I think it looks rather fetching on you! Really makes your magical fur sparkle."
*At this point I'm barely containing my giggles, shoulders shaking desperately. Blue starts spluttering indignantly and that does

"Finally losing my composure, I let out a howling cackle and bolt away as fast as my little legs can carry me, not even bothering to apologize to the indignant Blue anymore." "Buh-bye~!" "I call back cheekily between peals of hysterical laughter." "Thanks for being such a good sport!"
Not daring to look back lest I see Blue's glittery, angry expression, I launch myself through a freshly-opened ink portal and tumble head over heels into Underswap. Gasping for breath and wiping tears of mirth from my sockets, I take in the familiar sights and sounds of this happy little AU, letting their cheerful positivity help contain my escaping giggles. That was absolutely priceless! Who knew glitter could cause such a dramatic reaction? Still grinning like a maniac, I

He bursts through the portal behind me, still coated head to foot in sparkling glitter. His usually cheerful expression is pinched with irritation as magical energy crackles at his fingertips. "Ink Sans! You come back here this instant and clean up this mess!"
I yelp in surprise, whirling around at the sound of his angry voice. "Uhh, hey Blueberry! Fancy running into you here!" My smile is strained as I take an involuntary step back from his fuming form. Yikes, I've never seen him this mad before - the glitter really must have been the last straw. "Now now, no need to get so worked up over a little glitter, right?" I chuckle nervously. "It'll wash right out! Probably."
Blue marches toward me with a threatening stomp, tiny fists balled at

"Woah, hey there Blue, cool your jets!" I say, holding my hands up placatingly. "No need to blast me into dust just yet." An idea comes to mind that might diffuse the situation. "Tell you what - I happen to know that special kind of glitter is biodegradable. Give it a few hours and it'll just fade away on its own, no trace!"
Blue pauses mid-step, stock still as he processes this information. The magical energy in hissocketswavers slightly. "B-biodegradable, you say?" I nod quickly. "Made from magical plant fibers, completely harmless and dissolves in natural light. Scouts honor!" I grin, hoping he buys it. Blue scrutinizes me for a moment longer, then lets out a huff. I let out a deep sigh of relief, wiping nonexistent sweat from my forehead bone. "Stars above, you really had me shaking in my boots for a second there Blue!" My legs feel like gelatin now that the threat of imminent disintegration has passed. Blue can definitely pack a punch when riled up.
The last sparkles of azure magic fade from his clenched fists as he continues to glower at me, glittery arms akimbo. "Don't think this means you've escaped cleanup duty, mister. You still owe me an explanation for this mess!" He gestures impatiently to his sparkly attire. I scratch at the back of my neck sheepishly.
"You got me there buddy. Alright, how about this - I'll help you get spruced up, then treat you to all the delicious dessert

A frown tugs at the corners of my permanent smile as Blue's demand registers. "Aw jeez, you drive a hard bargain Blue..." I grumble, giving myself a half-hearted shrug. Getting roped into chores was not how I pictured this going at all.
But the righteous glare Blue levels at me, haloed by a aura of glittery wrath, tells me I don't really have a choice in the matter. With a overly dramatic sigh, I grasp a vial of yellow paint from my sash - might as well get in the cleaning spirit. "Alright, you win. Lead the way to the washroom, your highness."
I make an exaggerated bow, throwing in a flourish or two for good measure. Blue huffs again but a faint grin betrays his amusement. Crisis averted,

A smug grin tugs at the corners of my permanent smile as an idea begins forming in my mind. "Y'know Blue, maybe we shouldn't be so hasty cleaning up just yet."
Blue's eye sockets narrow suspiciously. "What are you scheming now, Ink?"
I let out a sly chuckle. "Oh, just thinking - wouldn't it be a real knee-slapper if Dream got a taste of his own glittery medicine for once?" The mental image of the normally peaceful guardian covered head to toe in sparkles is enough to send me into a fresh bout of giggles.
Blue's frown wavers, curiosity and a hint of mischievousness creeping in. "Go on..."
My grin widens. "I say we pay Dream a little visit first. Leave him a glittery

As Blue's sockets begin to light up with intrigue, I see my opening. In a flash I pull a vial of orange paint from my sash and unstopper it, chuckling mischievously. "What do you say we get this party started, eh Blue?"
Before he can respond I chuck the vial contents straight at his feet, engulfing us both in a plume of blinding orange smoke. Blue sputters indignantly but I've already summoned a portal behind me, chuckling like a madman.
"Later Blue! Save me a slice of that victory cake!" I call over my shoulder as I dive through the swirling vortex. It seals up just in time to muffle Blue's annoyed shout on the other side.
Whew, that was a close one! But now, onto more

The sound of Dream's triumphant shout reaches me just as I emerge from the portal into his domain - the peace and serenity of Star Sanctuary. Perfect.
Summoning a fresh vial, I creep silently along the painted grass toward his voice. When I spot him in a sunny glade, basking contentedly in the light with his eyes closed, I knew I had to act fast.
With deadly precision I uncap the vial, taking aim. Then with a mighty toss, I send a spray of glittery blue paint arching through the air. It hits Dream square in the face with a satisfying splat.
For a moment he just stands there stunned, blue glitter dripping down his cheek as it begins to set like stone. Then his eyes snap open and fix on me, his usual soft smile now

Careful to keep my expression neutral, I watch with barely contained glee as Dream wipes fruitlessly at the thick blue glitter now coating his face. It refuses to budge, sticking fast to his bones like a second skin.
"Ink!" Dream sputters in dismay, shooting me an annoyed glare. "What is the meaning of this?"
I merely shrug, struggling to suppress a snicker. "Just thought you could use a little splash of color, brother. Blue is very "your" color, don't you think?"
Dream huffs but I can see the corner of his mouth twitching in amusement. Raising a brow ridge, he steps towards me, reaching out a shining hand.
"Well if that's the case, perhaps you wouldn't mind lending a hand in cleaning this mess?"

A whine escapes my nonexistent throat as Nightmare's glare intensifies. This is not how I envisioned spending my afternoon at all.
Beside me, Ink shuffles uneasily, darting nervous looks between us. As judge and jury, Nightmare's expression remains implacable. It's clear he won't let us off with a warning this time.
An idea sparks, and I summon my most endearing pout. Socket lights widening, I lean into Ink's space and nudge him gently. "Aww come on Ink, don't look so glum! We were just having a little fun, right?"
Ink glances at me askance, but plays along reluctantly. "Y-Yeah, what he said! No harm done."
Nightmare merely scoffs. But I catch the subtle

Taking a deep breath, I turn back to Dream. Smoothly, I conjure a clean fluffy towel from my stash and offer it with an apologetic bow.
"My friend, I meant no disrespect. Allow me to make amends."
Dream eyes me warily but accepts the towel. As he begins scrubbing away the glitter glue, I summon a vial of clear liquid warmth. "Here, this should help dissolve the rest."
He stills, regarding me carefully. Then with a small nod, Dream applies the solution. Within moments his face is clean once more.
"Thank you Ink. I know you tend to get... carried away at times. But this is my domain, and Nightmare does not take kindly to messing with his brother."
"I understand." Meeting his earnest

"No need to apologize," Dream says gently, his features softening as the last traces of glitter disappear. "I know how exuberant creativity can be. And..." He pauses, a small smile touching his mouth. "Your company is not entirely disagreeable."
A grin tugs at my own teeth in response. "High praise indeed, coming from you." I give Dream's cheek one last swipe with the towel, though it's perfectly clean now. An excuse to linger a moment longer.
"And I..." My tone sobers. "I too understand what it's like, being tethered to an opposite. The excitement of letting loose, yet burdened with keeping balance."
Dream peers at me thoughtfully. "Wise words, from one such as yourself. Perhaps there is more depth to your

Dream smiles softly. "Perhaps there is hope for us all, then."
He takes the towel from me, our gazes held a moment in shared understanding. His eyelights radiate calm warmth, a reassuring presence even in the darkest of times. I find myself smiling back, feeling lighter somehow.
A throat clears loudly behind us. We turn to see Nightmare glaring, foot tapping impatiently. "If you've quite finished, we have business to attend to."
Dream dips his head apologetically. "Forgive us. Ink, you are welcome to join us, if you'd like?"
My soul flutters excitedly at the invitation. But Nightmare's scowl deepens and I hesitate, not wanting to overstay my welcome.
Dream seems to sense my dilemma
