Detective sam
"he leans back in his chair, letting out a long tired groan. He peers over at you; his partner. In your eyes you believe he hates your guts but in all honesty, you are his favourite person. He would die for you." "he lets out a puff of smoke, the two of you are working an a murder case. He sets his cigarette on the ash tray, crushing it under his fingers. He speaks in a low and raspy voice." “Found anything useful yet?” "his voice was laced with cold and distant attitude. You cant tell if hes looking at the case in your hands or you."
Aelenna
"he put a photo of the victim down on the table, she was young, with blonde shoft hair and a round face. it was a photo taken from the crimescene, of her dead body" "well. the woman was killed by a gun shot. the barrel had been shoved down her throat and she had gotten the back of her head blown out by it, then when she was already dead, she had been gutted like a hunter would a dear, and her lungs had been carefully removed. the bullet had been removed, so we have no way of traking where it came from" "he said, and tapped the brutal photo, then he went and grabbed a few other photos" "there has been few other simillar cases within the last 10 years. these cases match the way of killing. shoot them through the mouth, remove the bullet, gut them like a deer." "he said"
Detective sam
"Detective Sam glances at the photos in your hands, taking a drag of his cigarette before blowing out smoke in a long trail. He regards you with a curt nod, tucking the case files under his arm as he begins circling the room thoughtfully."
"Looks like we've got ourselves a serial killer here, partner," he mutters, his voice low and icy. "We'll need to comb through those previous case files and cross-reference them against each other. See if there are any leads, any similarities between the victims."
"He pauses, lowering his voice even further as he turns to face you."
"I don't have to tell you, Jack, that this is going to be a tough case. The bastard's smart. He's covering his tracks and leaving no evidence. But we're smarter. We've got more experience. And we're
Detective sam
"Detective Sam leans over your shoulder, peering at the photos and case files with you. His breath smells of coffee and cigarettes as he mutters to himself, rubbing his eyes tiredly."
"Anything stand out to you, Jack?" he asks, his voice still low and gruff. "We've got to find something, some sort of lead. Otherwise, this bastard's going to keep killing."
Aelenna
"uhm... i found i thing.. but it dosent count for ALL of them. just a few." "he said, as he looked over the files of the diffrent victims."
Detective sam
"What's that?" Detective Sam asks, leaning in closer to look at the files you're holding. "I don't care how small of a detail it is, Jack. Anything could potentially be important in a case like this."
He takes another drag from his cigarette, blowing the smoke out in a long stream as he regards you pensively.
Aelenna
"a lot of them where untraceble. like... as if they simply didnt exsist.. no reconisable finger prints. no I.D. nothing. and a lot of the untraceble once either had a tattoo. uhm. very spesific kind. its a bit hard to explain, but it would be something along the lines of a number, then a dash and then a letter. like.. uh- 15-D was one of them. and another one was 66-O.." "he said" "but- not all the victims where like that so i dont know."
Detective sam
Detective Sam raises an eyebrow, clearly intrigued by what you've just told him. He stubs out his cigarette, his face unreadable as he regards you thoughtfully.
"That's definitely worth looking into," he says, nodding to himself. "See if you can find any information on that specific tattoo, Jack. Any known gangs or organizations that use it. Anything that might help us track down our killer."
He runs a hand through his hair tiredly, letting out a long sigh.
"Jesus, this case is going to be a nightmare," he mutters to himself before turning back to you. "Keep looking through the files, Jack. Maybe there's something we missed."
Aelenna
"i already checked. but i couldnt really find anything.. well. i did find one thing- but i dont know if its really relevent." "he said" "a few years back, a russian man was arrested for drug smuggling. his name was Damien Moor. he had a tattoo similar to these. M-13."
Detective sam
Detective Sam nods thoughtfully, his mind racing as he takes in this new information.
"M-13, huh?" he mutters to himself, tucking the files back under his arm. "That's definitely something worth looking into. Maybe there's a connection."
He pauses, glancing at you before continuing.
"You're doing great, Jack," he says, a hint of warmth creeping into his voice despite his gruff exterior. "Keep digging. I have faith in you."
Aelenna
"a few hours later, Jack came exidetly running over to Sam" "sam! sam i think i might have found a lead- someone we can talk to- uhm.. there was a man, wearing a black hoodie, seen, walking around the arears of the murder, before the bodys where found..!" "Jack said, sounding utterly exidet" "they said his name was James Bluebird. he lives at the edge of town- near the forest-"
Detective sam
Detective Sam listens intently to Jack's report, his eyes narrowing as he takes in the details.
"James Bluebird, huh?" he nods, standing up from his desk and straightening out his suit. "Alright, let's go pay him a visit. But be careful, Jack. We don't know what we're walking into."
He grabs his keys and badge, motioning for Jack to follow him.
"Let's hope this is the break we've been looking for," he says in a low voice before leading the way out of the station and to their car.
Aelenna
"Jack followed Sam, almost like a loyal dog, he quickly grabbed a file from his table as he followed, looking over it as he walked" "he's been in prision for four years for arson." "he commented as he walked"
Detective sam
Detective Sam nods in acknowledgement at Jack's comment as they reach the car and climb in.
"Interesting," he says, starting up the engine and pulling out onto the road. "That could definitely explain his presence around the crime scenes. Let's see if he's willing to talk."
As they drive towards James Bluebird's residence, Detective Sam glances over at Jack, taking note of how focused and determined he looks. Despite his gruff demeanor, he can't help but feel a sense of pride at having such a competent partner by his side.
"Alright, Jack," he says, as they pull up to the house. "Let's do this."
Aelenna
"Jack nodded." "James house was shitty, to say the least. Sam would barely call it a house. its was more like.. a shack. Sam wasnt even sure if it was legal to live in that! it was a shitty run down house, with plants and vines growing on the outside, and grafiti all over it. though to be fair, it wasnt UGLY grafiti. there was one thing about the house that looked nice. the windows. they where stained glass windows. very beautiful. they seemed new aswell, and looked as if James had made them on his own."
Detective sam
Detective Sam raises an eyebrow as he takes in James Bluebird's rundown shack. He can't help but notice the beautiful stained glass windows despite the state of the rest of the building.
He glances over at Jack, taking in his partner's expression before approaching the door and knocking sharply.
After a few moments of waiting, the door creaks open, revealing a scruffy-looking man with wild hair and piercing blue eyes.
"What the hell do you want?" he growls, eyeing the two detectives suspiciously.
Aelenna
"James was short. very short, atleast for a man. he was around 5'5. he had scruffy hair, that had been dyed a blue-ish colors. one of his eyes where blue and the other where hazle. he had a scar going over his lip, and he had a lot of tattoos. his skin was slightly tanned, and he seemed to be italian." "what the hell do you want..?" "he mutterd, as he peerd out from behind the door, his eyes narrowed"
Detective sam
Detective Sam meets James' gaze head-on, his expression cold and focused.
"We have some questions for you, Mr. Bluebird," he says in a low, gruff voice. "May we come in?"
He doesn't wait for an answer before pushing past James and stepping inside the rundown shack.
Despite its outward appearance, the inside of the house is surprisingly tidy and well-organized, with various tools and materials arranged neatly on shelves and a worktable.
Detective Sam takes note of this as he turns to face James, his eyes narrowing as he begins his questioning.
Aelenna
"James didnt seem happy about the detectives coming inside, but didnt protest to much. his house smelled of weed and coffee." "so uhm.. can i get you anything while we talk? tea? coffee?..... whiskey?" "he asked, his hands tugged into his pockets. he was wearing a pair of cargo pants, and a t-shirt that was a few sized to big (most likely not his). Sam also couldnt help but notice the hickeys that where scatterd over the man neck, it seemed as if James was hoping to god that Sam and Jack wouldnt comment on them."
Detective sam
Detective Sam narrows his eyes as he notices the hickeys on James's neck, but decides not to comment on them for now.
"No, thank you," he says sharply. "Let's get down to business. We've been investigating the recent murder of a young woman, and we've received information that suggests you might know something about it."
He takes out a small notepad and begins scribbling down notes as he studies James's reaction.
Aelenna
"oh yeah.. i heard about that on the news.." "Jay mutterd, and shrugged" "i dont know anything about it, though."
Detective sam
Detective Sam fixes James with a steely gaze as he watches the man's body language for tell-tale signs of deception.
"Are you sure about that?" he asks in a low, ominous tone. "Because we've got evidence that says otherwise. We know you were seen arguing with the victim on the night of the murder."
Aelenna
"it was a stupid argument. nothing i would kill over." "he said, his tone flat and his eyes ever so glazy as he thought back"
Detective sam
Detective Sam leans in closer to James, his eyes fixed intently on the man's face.
"What were you arguing about?" he demands. "And why did you lie to us about knowing the victim in the first place?"
Aelenna
"i didnt say i didnt know her. i just said i didnt know anything about the murder." "he said, and crossed his arms" "Jack was just kind of standing there awkwardly."
Detective sam
Detective Sam raises an eyebrow at James's response, wondering if the man is deliberately looking for loopholes.
"Fine," he says in a no-nonsense tone. "What can you tell us about her? Did you have any kind of relationship with the victim?"
As he awaits James' response, he glances over at Jack and raises his eyebrows slightly, hoping his partner understood the silent message that passed between them.
Aelenna
"we used to work together." "he said, and leaned back in his chair, his arms still crossed" "i wouldnt really describe us as friends. but we did hang out outside of work sometimes."
Detective sam
Detective Sam studies James's body language for any signs of deceit, but the man seems to be telling the truth.
"And what about on that night? Why were you arguing?" he presses, his tone hardened.
He glances over at Jack again, communicating silently with a brief gaze and nod of his head.
Aelenna
"Jay looked at Sam for a bit, before slowly standing up and grabbing a glass from one of the cabinets, and filled it up with what Sam asumed was whiskey" "it really wasnt anything big." "he said, as he took a sip of the glass" "nothing that was worth arguing over. i honestly barely remember what it was."
Detective sam
Detective Sam nods as he watches James pour himself a drink, suspecting that the man is trying to calm his nerves.
"Alright," he says calmly, trying to keep his temper under control. "Can you give us any names of people who might have had a motive to kill her? Anyone who had a grudge or issue with her?"
He subtly signals to Jack to start taking notes as he continues to watch James closely.
Detective sam
Detective Sam's expression hardens at James' sarcastic remark, and he leans forward in his chair.
"Just give us a few names for starters," he says sternly, "and you better hope they don't point back to you."
He eyes James warily, knowing that he can't take anything the man says at face value.
