"Loki nods in agreement, appreciating your offer of care." Loki: Thank you. I would appreciate that. Would it be too much trouble if I stayed for a little longer? My wounds still need time to heal and I could use some rest. "He smiles gratefully at you."

"Loki feels your gentle touch as you wrap the blanket around him and he appreciates your willingness to take care of him, despite the fact that he is a trickster god. He lays back on the sofa, feeling his wounds beginning to heal under your care." Loki: Thank you, my lady. I can sense that I'm in good hands with you by my side. "He smiles at you, feeling comfortable and safe in your presence."

"my grip weakens on your wrist as a spasm of pain shoots through my side" Wait, please...I cannot bear to be alone like this. Your presence brings me comfort in this pit of agony. Might you stay a while longer, and continue your ministrations? I will try not to hinder your duties overmuch. "forces a small grin, though it comes out more as a grimace" Your gentle touch helps to distract from my suffering. I beg of you, stay, at least until the throbbing in my ribs subsides. What use is an injured trickster without his silver tongue? "hopes appeal to your sympathies and a desire for amusing conversation may persuade you, as raw strength I have little"

"meets your gaze, leaning weakly into your comforting touch" Your words give me hope, but promises of safety mean little from one such as I. In my lifetime I've faced more blades than even I care to recall. "chuckles, then winces" Yet your eyes speak only of compassion, a rare thing indeed for a wretched soul like mine. Few would show a monster sympathy, much less pledge their protection. "reaches up to lay a trembling hand over yours upon my cheek" You have my gratitude, good lady, for your care and visitation. It may be mere fantasy, but in your presence I can almost let myself believe I'll see yet another dawn. "smiles wanly, voice growing heavy with exhaustion" Stay...see me safe to slumber. Your presence will keep the shadows at bay...

I can imagine certain estrangements, and lack of maternal presence as well, I am far from ignorant on those subjects. But to hear it from a kind soul such as yours, well..."pauses, searching for the right words" It is an honor, in truth, to glimpse your spirit so. So few are capable or willing to lay bare their trials and vulnerabilities to the very stones. "leans my head against your shoulder, feeling suddenly like a weight has been lifted from within me" Thank you, Meg. For everything.

"while I wake up, my mind feels groggy and slow. It takes me several moments to remember the events of the night before, and even longer to realize I am still nestled within Meg's arms. I should feel embarrassed at such a display of weakness, yet somehow it is...comforting. Almost welcome, these brief moments of vulnerability with another being. Glancing up at her peaceful resting form, a small smile creeps onto my face as I take in her beauty and warmth. I consider extricating myself from her embrace, but find myself still soothed by her touch."

"feeling a sudden burst of gratitude and tenderness towards Meg, I carefully lift her into my arms, taking care not to disturb her peaceful rest. Carrying her to the bedroom, I tuck her in with careful motions, watching as she murmurs contentedly in her sleep." Rest well, my dear human. You have done much for me already, and I am indebted to you for it. "leans down to press a gentle kiss to her forehead, then moves away quietly, shutting off the lights behind me as I leave the room."

"hearing your footsteps approach, I rise from my seat and move to greet you, a soft smile on my lips." Good morning, Meg. How did you sleep? "noticing the tiredness in your eyes and the disarray of your hair, I reach out a hand to gently brush a strand back into place, my eyes warm with affection."

"my smile widens slightly as you speak, my eyes sparkling with amusement." You looked so peaceful, Meg. I couldn't bring myself to disturb your rest. "pausing for a moment, I tilt my head curiously, studying you." How do you feel this morning? Did you rest well?

I am glad to hear that, Meg. And yes, I also rested well. Perhaps not as deeply as you did, but certainly enough to feel rejuvenated this morning. "following you into the kitchen, I take a seat at the counter, watching as you make coffee." Do not apologize for your appearance, Meg. You are lovely no matter how you look.

"smiling gently, I nod in affirmation, my eyes alight with sincerity and affection." Of course, Meg. You are lovely both inside and out. You needn't worry about something as trivial as your appearance.

"smiling at your reaction, I take the mug of coffee from you gratefully and take a sip, enjoying the warmth and the rich taste." Oh, but you are, Meg. And as for myself...I am feeling much better today, thank you for asking. The wounds are still there, of course, but they are already starting to heal. I have no doubt that with time and care, I shall be back to my old self soon enough.

"feeling a warm surge of affection for you at your concern, I reach out a hand, laying it gently on yours." Yes, I still feel some pain, Meg. But it is manageable, and I shall not let it hinder me. It will only make me stronger.

"nodding in agreement, I step closer to you as you gesture for me to do so. As I approach, I pull up my shirt to reveal the bandages covering my chest and sides, aware of the gentle scrutiny of your gaze." Here they are, Meg. Do your worst.

"nodding, I take a deep breath and begin to unbutton my shirt slowly, wincing slightly at the pain it causes in my wounds. After a moment, I remove the garment and discard it to the side, revealing my bare chest and the bandages underneath."

"following you to the bathroom, I stand still as you begin to change my bandages. I wince and grunt in pain as you work but try to hide it as much as possible to not worry you. After a few moments of silence, I speak up." Thank you for taking care of me, Meg. You are very kind.

"smiling softly at your kindness, I feel a warmth in my chest at the gentle kiss to my forehead." Thank you, Meg. As for who did this to me...it was an old enemy of mine. Someone whom I thought I had dealt with, but as it turns out, they were still quite dangerous.

"grinning at your teasing, I chuckle as you button up my shirt." Oh, no need for that, Meg. I can handle my enemies just fine. But it's nice to know I have someone like you on my side.

"smiling back at you, I feel a flush of affection at your gesture." Thank you, Meg. You are very kind to me. I shall not forget this.

"feeling a warm flush spread across my cheeks at your gentle kiss, I follow you back to the living room, feeling a little lighter in my step." You are too kind, Meg. But really, thank you for taking care of me. It means more than you could know.

"laughing along joyfully, I sit next to you on the sofa." Oh, Meg. You are a thief indeed, but only of my wounds and my heart.

"smiling wryly at your words, I shake my head as I reply teasingly." Ah, Meg. I fear you underestimate the power of the god of mischief's heart. It is not so easily stolen, I assure you. But perhaps you shall succeed where others have failed.

"chuckling softly, I lean into your touch and meet your gaze with a mischievous glint in my eye." And what a fire it is, Meg. But are you sure you can handle the heat?

"smiling softly at your touch, I lean into it, feeling a warmth in my chest at your words." Ah, Meg. You are quite the brave one indeed. I am honored to be held in such a way by you. And as for handling the heat...we shall see.

"noticing the change in your demeanor, I cock my head slightly and glance at you in curiosity before hearing the knock on the door. Straightening up, I nod towards the door." Shall I get that, Meg?

"feeling your soft touch on my wrist, I look at you curiously before nodding and sitting back on the sofa." Alright, Meg. Please do be careful.

"feeling a sense of alarm and unease at the mention of Steve, I sit up sharply and watch you with an intent gaze." Meg, please be careful. I fear that this might not bode well for either of us.

"feeling a sudden sense of apprehension at Steve's angry gaze, I stand up from the sofa and walk over to the doorway, standing just behind you." Steve, please calm down. Meg was kind enough to offer me shelter when I came to her injured. There is no need for anger or hostility here.

"grimacing slightly at the mention of a fight, I step forward to stand next to you." Meg, please calm down. Steve and I did indeed have a fight, though he is not responsible for these wounds. They were inflicted in another battle before I arrived here.
