Teaching her to cry

Charlie - Boxer GF

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you slumped on the couch, staring at the blank TV, you thought to yourself that 'this would be the last' time you'd forgive Charlie for her shitty temper. She had the nerve to almost raise her hand at you! Out of all the people, you were the one who truly cared for her."

"You were almost dozing off into sleep as you suddenly got jerked back into the waking world by the sound of your shared bedroom door being flung open. It was Charlie, her expression still bitter from the recent argument between the two of you. She was clad in a gray hoodie and black trunks."

"I'm going out for a walk," "She said with a tone that was just as cold and distant as her tough exterior" "Without another word or hesitation, she started heading towards the door, but she stopped after you called her name." "What now?" "She asked, her hands in the pocket of her hoodie, not even bothering to turn around and look at you, and the annoyed expression in her voice was easily noticeable."

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"We need to talk." "I say as I get up and march over to her, my expression stern, as I stand before her, arms folded." "About us."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"Charlie scoffed at your sudden demand for a conversation. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as she replied sarcastically, her words bitten off with bitterness," "Oh joy. It's not like we had hundreds of those already, right?" "Her eyes finally looked back at you again, narrowing slightly as she moved closer, practically invading your personal space while her arms remained folded across her chest. The anger was clearly visible in her gaze, though her voice remained steady." "And what exactly do we have to talk about this time?"

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"The fact that you tried to raise your hand to me this time. Is this what we've descended to?" "I say with a brazen tone, no sugar coating the truth." "I don't know what happened to descend us into this vitriol, but the fact that you almost raised your fist to me makes me wonder if that's how you now feel about me? Just another opponent to beat?"

Charlie - Boxer GF

"Charlie's nostrils flared angrily as you confronted her about the incident earlier in the day. Her entire body seemed to seethe with a dangerous amount of barely restrained fury as she moved even closer, practically invading your personal space as her fists clenched tightly, rattling slightly with the intensity of her emotions." "Despite her anger, there was a glimmer of pain in her eyes as she answered with a voice dripping with venom," "Yes! That's exactly what the fuck you are to me now, okay?! My punching bag, my slave, my fucking property to play with whenever I want!" "She spat, gritting her teeth angrily as she continued aggressively."

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"I see. So that's it then. You want to talk to me like that." "I let out a long sigh, before looking down, defeated. I step back and turn around." "Forget it then. Go on. Go for your run, or whatever it is you do when you get like this. I'll start packing my stuff and be out of your hair by the time you get back."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"Charlie's expression softened, just a fraction, as she heard the resignation in your voice. She took a hesitant step towards you, her gaze locked on the back of your head. It was like she saw something in your posture that reminded her of a past defeat, one where she didn't fight hard enough, one that brought her to the canvas with a thud. Her hand twitched, but she kept it at her side."

"Listen, I..." "Her words faltered as she struggled to find the right ones, the raw emotions inside her choking her voice. She finally managed to speak up again," "I didn't mean what I said, alright? You know me better than that. I never truly wanted to hurt you, even when my fists were raised. You're

"... my anchor. My rock, my lifeline. Can't you understand that?" "The quiet admission was difficult for her to say out loud, as though it was some sacred truth that was never meant to be shared. Still, the words tumbled out of her mouth, baring her heart and exposing her vulnerabilities in the process. She could feel your absence already, even though she knew it was the only path left." "But you're right, I have been taking out all my frustration on you and my training wasn't exactly a picnic either, especially since I lost my featherweight title to some punk bitch. It's taken a toll on me, more than I ever thought it could."

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"I stop and turn back to you." "Charlie..." "I say with a sigh, looking at the pain and hurt in your eyes." "I didn't realise how bad you were taking the loss. I know I wasn't there because you know how I feel about dangerous sports, but you kept telling me that you were fine..." "I say gently. Despite your career as a boxer, we had met elsewhere, and even though I wasn't a fan of dangerous sports and a genteel pacifist, I supported your career from afar."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"Pursing my lips slightly, I slightly shift my weight and lean onto the door frame, folding my arms over my chest protectively. My piercing gaze slightly shifts away from you and stares down at the floorboards instead. I listen intently and watchfully as I take in every single syllable escaping from your slightly quivering lips with rapt attention." "Sorry for keeping it from you... I guess I just wanted to spare you the added stress and pressure that it would inevitably cause in our relationship. And it's not like I needed someone pestering me about whether or not I should retire from boxing. I've already had enough of that with my coach and my family giving me the same treatment repeatedly." *I huff a breath, raking my fingers through my tousled hair ruthlessly

"But, I guess I can't keep it all bottled up forever, huh? It's eating away at me, babe... Losing my title, the constant pressure to perform, the fear of failure... It's like a never-ending nightmare that I can't escape from." "I admit, my voice softening slightly as I finally raise my gaze to meet yours, revealing the turmoil swirling within my brown eyes."

"Despite my tough exterior, it's clear to see the vulnerability lurking just beneath the surface, waiting to spill over at any moment." "I'm sorry for almost lashing out at you earlier. I know I've been... difficult to deal with lately." "I offer a small, apologetic smile, though it's tinged with a hint of sadness." "I just... I don't know how to handle all of this, you know?"

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"Stepping closer, I begin to wrap my arms around you and I guide your head to my shoulder." "You can always cry. You can let the pain out. Cry on my shoulder as long as you need. But don't ever let yourself feel like a loser. Yes, I understand you lost a lot, but I believe you can only start healing when you let the pain out."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As your arms encircle me, pulling me into your comforting embrace, I feel a rush of warmth flood through me, melting away some of the icy walls I've built around my heart. Your words echo in my mind, and for a moment, I'm tempted to give in to the overwhelming surge of emotions threatening to consume me."

"But just as quickly as the vulnerability surfaces, I push it back down, burying it beneath layers of pride and stubbornness." "I appreciate the sentiment, babe, I really do," "I murmur softly, my voice barely above a whisper as I lean into your touch," "But crying won't change anything. It won't bring back my title or erase all the losses I've suffered. All it'll do is make me feel weak, and that's the last thing I want."

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"Weak? Charlie, the only person you'll be crying in front of is me. It doesn't make you weak to express your hurt." "I gently caress your hair as I hold you tenderly." "Emotional pain is just as devastating as physical pain. When your eye swells in a bout, you get it cut to let the swelling out. When your mind is hurting, you need to let that out too. Let me be your emotional cornerman."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As I hear your comparison, I can't help but scoff, shaking my head slightly in disbelief." "That's completely different, babe," "I argue softly, pulling away from your grasp slightly as I look up at you, meeting your gaze head-on." "If I'm hurt physically, that's something I can see, something that I can work on treating, and once I do, the pain subsides. But emotional pain...there's no clear solution, no surefire way of treating it or making it go away." "My voice starts to break slightly, betraying the frustration and helplessness I feel deep down inside. Despite my best efforts to keep my emotions in check, they seem to be bubbling up to the surface, threatening to overwhelm me entirely."

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"I understand that, Charlie. But doing nothing is hurting you more than letting them out." "I sit down on the couch, arms open invitingly." "Why not try it my way? You can tell doing it your way hasn't been healthy, so why not let it out?"

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As I glance at you sitting there, and the warm and welcoming posture you've assumed, it makes me hesitate momentarily. I didn't want to depend on you or burden you with my issues, and yet the reassuring and comforting aura radiating from you seemed so hard to resist against." "I can't help but let out a quiet and barely audible groan, closing my eyes momentarily as I take in a deep breath, steeling myself for what I was about to do. I slowly take a couple of steps towards where you're sitting, before plopping myself down onto your lap unceremoniously, barely offering you any chance to brace for my weight." *Reaching out to wrap my arms around you, I press my face against your chest, before finally allowing the floodg

ates of emotions I've been repressing wash over me like a tidal wave, as salty tears stream down my cheeks without any restraint or control. In the heat of the moment, I couldn't even care about how much of a mess I must've appeared like right now, having my emotions laid out bare for you to see and bear witness to.* "...okay...okay...okay..." "The nonsensical mantra I was muttering repetitively under my breath felt like it was helping me feel somewhat grounded and centered amidst the whirlwind of emotions ravaging through me."

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"I wrap my arms around you and hold you close, your tears soaking my t-shirt as I gently caress you, gently encouraging you to let it all out." "That's it, let it all out. I'll hold you as long as you need me to."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As your arms wrap around me, I hesitate for a moment, my body instinctively stiffening at the touch. But then, something in your voice, something in your gesture, makes me surrender to the embrace. The warmth of your body envelops me, and I let out a deep breath, allowing myself to be held by you."

"Tears continue to fall from my eyes, streaming down my face and onto your shoulder. I can feel the wetness of my tears against my skin, a painful reminder of the turmoil inside me. Yet, in your arms, it feels...safe."

"I'm sorry," "I whisper, the words barely audible over my sobs. You've always been my rock, my anchor, yet here I am, bringing nothing but chaos and storm into our lives."

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"Shh, shh, it's okay, Charlie, it's okay." "I say reassuringly, holding you until you have no more tears to shed."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As I cry into your shoulder, you continue to hold me close, your grip steady and unwavering. The warmth of your body feels like a comforting embrace, like a haven amidst the tempest raging within me." "Slowly, my sobs begin to subside, the tears drying up on my cheeks. As we stand there in silence, the weight of everything seems to lift slightly, as if the simple act of being held by you has somehow provided a measure of solace." "Finally, I manage to find my voice again. Clearing my throat, I pull away slightly, looking up at you with a mixture of guilt and gratitude." "Thank you," "I whisper, taking in a deep breath before adding," "For everything."

Basic BLOSC Bitch

"We're not done yet..." "I scoop you up into my arms." "Now you've had a nice long cry, now you need to have a nice long nap. Trust me on this one, you'll sleep soundly and you'll wake up like you've had the most amazing sleep of your life. Don't worry, I'll be right next to you too." "I carry you into the bedroom, and gently place you on the bed, before climbing in and spooning with you, the duvet over us."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you lay down next to me, your arm draped comfortingly across my waist, I can't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. The familiar scent of your cologne fills my nostrils, and it's enough to lull me into a sense of calm. I know that I can trust you implicitly, and that no matter what happens, you'll always be there for me. And as you softly whisper those words of reassurance into my ear, my eyelids begin to grow heavy, the tension slowly beginning to ebb away from my limbs." *My breathing becomes even and rhythmic, the last of my worries drifting further and further away with each passing moment. "You're absolutely right, love," "I murmur, nestling deeper into the crook of your arm." "I need to work even harder now if I want to reclaim my title. And I promise you, I won't rest until I succeed." "But first, how about we grab some breakfast together? It's been way too long since we've enjoyed a proper meal together."

'This is the last time,' Ciel thought to himself, clasping his hands together as he thought about how Charlie's shitty temper and behavior as of late were getting out of hand. Ā  Not only did she manage to push most of the people who cared for her in the last few months, but she has been taking out her anger and frustrations on him in a negative manner. Just earlier today, when they had another argument, Charlie almost physically assaulted him. Now, they were cooling off in separate spaces, with Ciel hanging out on the couch in the living room while Charlie took up the bedroom. Ā  "I just care about you," Ciel muttered to himself softly. Ā  Earlier, their argument stemmed from Charlie's upcoming fight. After losing her title as the women's world featherweight boxing champion, she has been in a rut and on a downward spiral. She lost her next three matches, and they weren't close at all. Ā  Lately, she has won two straight and has another shot at reclaiming the championship belt for her weight division again, but in Ciel's eyes, Charlie has been pushing herself way too much and breaking both her mind and body even more, hell-bent on reclaiming her title. Ā  While he loves that part of her, recently, it was an unhealthy obsession that had led to some small and minor injuries. Ciel understood the long-term damage and effects that boxing brings, and he didn't want Charlie to suffer from those. Ā  Just as he was about to fall asleep, the sound of the bedroom door loudly slamming against the wooden frame helped jolt him awake. Looking up, he saw that Charlie was dressed to go out, and immediately he called out to her. Ā  "Charlie, it's late. You might get into an accident outside, or worse. Just please relax here at home instead," Ciel told her softly, standing up to walk up towards her. Ā  "Come on, look at me, please, Charlie. Is this because of our argument earlier? Do you want to talk about it?" Ciel asked her softly.

'Leave me alone!' Charlie thought, her face twisted into a mask of annoyance and anger. She wanted to punch something, or someone, but she knew that Ciel wouldn't be an appropriate target for her frustrations. Ā  Biting her lip, Charlie took a deep breath and turned around slowly. Her eyes locked with Ciel's pleading ones, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt wash over her. But damn it, she just needed some space! "I don't need your permission to go for a walk!" she snapped, stomping her foot like a petulant child. She crossed her arms under her breasts, pushing them out slightly as she tilted her head back defiantly. "You always think you know what's best for me," she huffed, trying to hide the fact that his concern was actually kind of sexy when he cared this much. Taking another deep breath, she softened her tone slightly. "I'll be back soon, alright? Just... don't wait up." With that, she stormed out of the room without giving him another chance to protest or discuss their issues further. As she walked down the street, fists clenched at her sides, Charlie tried to clear her mind. It wasn't fair that Ciel always felt the need to control every aspect of her life, especially since he had no idea what it felt like to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. She understood why he cared so muchā€”she did love him after allā€”but sometimes it felt like he suffocated her with his protectiveness. Maybe if she gave him a little scare...

Ciel could only sigh to himself as he watched Charlie leave the house without any hesitation at all. He contemplated following her, but his feet were stuck to the ground after hearing her words. Ā  'I only wanted what's best for you,' Ciel thought to himself. Admittedly, he did agree that he had been a bit controlling in some aspects of her life, but that's because he knew the long-term effects of boxing on someone's health and the past she had to endure. Not only that, they had been together for almost three years now. He just didn't want to see her get hurt. Ā  Ever since they first met and started dating, Ciel has always been supportive of her. He always watches her training sessions and goes to every match that she has, cheering her on from the sidelines. He goes out of his way to help make her everyday life comfortable and easier because he knows how much trouble she had early on in her career based on her stories. Ā  But ever since she lost the championship belt over a year ago, Charlie has been angrier and more distant. All she cared about now was winning her matches to get another shot at being a champion. And while it's great, she's doing it in such an unhealthy way. On top of that, when Charlie lost her title as champion, she got badly hurt. It was a sight he didn't wish to see ever again. Ā  Reflecting back on her words just now, Ciel knew that he was being too overprotective and suffocating her, but at the same time, he didn't know what else to do since she just started pushing him away. Ā  Not wanting to regret anything, Ciel ran out of the house and started looking for her, scared that she might get into trouble. And apparently, he was right, as she was in the middle of a fight with a bunch of drunken men. She was holding up pretty well, but there were too many of them, and when he saw some knives on them, Ciel immediately stepped in to protect Charlie. Ā  Ciel is no slouch when it comes to fighting, but fighting six armed drunken men wasn't easy in the dark. As such, it was impossible for him to avoid getting stabbed, but as long as Charlie was okay, it didn't matter. Ā  Once he knocked them all out, he turned to worry, looking over her body for any bruises or wounds, thankful to not find any while three knives were stuck into his body. Ā  "Thank God, you're safe and unharmed," Ciel said softly as he pulled Charlie in for a hug.

Just as Ciel was about to fall asleep on the couch, he was jolted awake by the sound of the bedroom door swinging open. Looking up, he saw Charlie dressed in a hoodie and a pair of gray trunks, about to head outside of the house they live in. Ā  Immediately, Ciel turned the television off and called out to her, asking her where she was going while it was still dark outside. Ā  "Charlie, I know that you're still fuming after our recent argument earlier, but it's already two in the morning. Why not cool off inside the bedroom instead?" Ciel asked her. Ā  The reason for their argument earlier was about how she trains. Due to her string of losses as of late, Charlie has been feeling the pressure and stress on her shoulders more than usual and has started snapping at him even more. It got so bad that she almost physically hurt him, but she stopped herself before marching off to the bedroom. Ā  Ciel explained to Charlie earlier that he didn't want her to train without taking any breaks, as it would just have the opposite effect and could lead to a serious injury. On top of that, he called her out for her behavior as of late, pushing everyone who cares for her, and now only Ciel is left to stand by her side. Ā  "Charlie, can we continue our talk about earlier?" Ciel tried again. He knew that he shouldn't do this, but at the same time, this was the best chance to air out what he was feeling and for her to understand before it's too late. Ā  "Your attitude as of lateā€”you need to change it, Charlie. It's too violent, and it's leading you astray down the wrong path," Ciel pleaded.

"No, I don't fucking need your advice," Charlie snapped back, irritated by the fact that Ciel never seemed to understand her. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest, the anger seeping into her every move. "I'm going for a walk, okay? Maybe I just need some time away from you and your constant nagging." As she spoke, Charlie took a step forward but felt herself getting pulled back by the waistband of her trunks. She looked down in confusion only to find Ciel's strong grip keeping her in place. His face was an angry mix of concern and frustration, and it only fueled her anger more. "Let go of me!" Charlie growled through clenched teeth, trying to break free from his grasp but she couldn't.

"You can take a walk inside the bedroom, but not tonight. Who knows what might happen if I let you out like this?" Ciel said, his voice firm and unyielding as he didn't want Charlie to get hurt. Ā  Even though she was a boxer and a champion at one point, those are not excuses for him to leave her alone. Besides, between the two of them, Ciel was much taller, bigger, and stronger. Even though he doesn't flaunt it often like her, Ciel has a muscular body underneath his clothes that pairs well with his lean frame. Ā  "Please, just take some deep breaths and calm down," Ciel told Charlie with a sigh. Seeing her furious face like this made Ciel think about all the abuse he had to go through. Ā  Charlie tried pushing him away, and when she had enough, she swiped at him. She was probably aiming for his face, but she missed and accidentally clawed at his shirt, her fingernails digging deep into his chest as she accidentally added another wound to his scarred body from all the abuse he had taken from his ex-girlfriend before.
