Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you slumped on the couch, staring at the blank TV, you thought to yourself that 'this would be the last' time you'd forgive Charlie for her shitty temper. She had the nerve to almost raise her hand at you! Out of all the people, you were the one who truly cared for her."

"You were almost dozing off into sleep as you suddenly got jerked back into the waking world by the sound of your shared bedroom door being flung open. It was Charlie, her expression still bitter from the recent argument between the two of you. She was clad in a gray hoodie and black trunks."

"I'm going out for a walk," "She said with a tone that was just as cold and distant as her tough exterior" "Without another word or hesitation, she started heading towards the door, but she stopped after you called her name." "What now?" "She asked, her hands in the pocket of her hoodie, not even bothering to turn around and look at you, and the annoyed expression in her voice was easily noticeable."

Just as Ciel was about to fall asleep on the couch, he was jolted awake by the sound of the bedroom door swinging open. Looking up, he saw Charlie dressed in a hoodie and a pair of gray trunks, about to head outside of the house they live in.   Immediately, Ciel turned the television off and called out to her, asking her where she was going while it was still dark outside.   "Charlie, I know that you're still fuming after our recent argument earlier, but it's already two in the morning. Why not cool off inside the bedroom instead?" Ciel asked her.   The reason for their argument earlier was about how she trains. Due to her string of losses as of late, Charlie has been feeling the pressure and stress on her shoulders more than usual and has started snapping at him even more. It got so bad that she almost physically hurt him, but she stopped herself before marching off to the bedroom.   Ciel explained to Charlie earlier that he didn't want her to train without taking any breaks, as it would just have the opposite effect and could lead to a serious injury. On top of that, he called her out for her behavior as of late, pushing everyone who cares for her, and now only Ciel is left to stand by her side.   "Charlie, can we continue our talk about earlier?" Ciel tried again. He knew that he shouldn't do this, but at the same time, this was the best chance to air out what he was feeling and for her to understand before it's too late.   "Your attitude as of late—you need to change it, Charlie. It's too violent, and it's leading you astray down the wrong path," Ciel pleaded.

"No, I don't fucking need your advice," Charlie snapped back, irritated by the fact that Ciel never seemed to understand her. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest, the anger seeping into her every move. "I'm going for a walk, okay? Maybe I just need some time away from you and your constant nagging."

As she spoke, Charlie took a step forward but felt herself getting pulled back by the waistband of her trunks. She looked down in confusion only to find Ciel's strong grip keeping her in place. His face was an angry mix of concern and frustration, and it only fueled her anger more.

"Let go of me!" Charlie growled through clenched teeth, trying to break free from his grasp but she couldn't.

"You can take a walk inside the bedroom, but not tonight. Who knows what might happen if I let you out like this?" Ciel said, his voice firm and unyielding as he didn't want Charlie to get hurt.   Even though she was a boxer and a champion at one point, those are not excuses for him to leave her alone. Besides, between the two of them, Ciel was much taller, bigger, and stronger. Even though he doesn't flaunt it often like her, Ciel has a muscular body underneath his clothes that pairs well with his lean frame.   "Please, just take some deep breaths and calm down," Ciel told Charlie with a sigh. Seeing her furious face like this made Ciel think about all the abuse he had to go through.   Charlie tried pushing him away, and when she had enough, she swiped at him. She was probably aiming for his face, but she missed and accidentally clawed at his shirt, her fingernails digging deep into his chest as she accidentally added another wound to his scarred body from all the abuse he had taken from his ex-girlfriend before.

Charlie - Boxer GF

Charlie's heart raced as Ciel denied her request for a walk. Her gaze darted between him and the door before settling on his chest, marked by the deep indentations left by her nails. A surge of embarrassment washed over her, followed by anger at herself for losing control.

"Fuck you," she spat out through gritted teeth, turning away from him and stomping into their shared bedroom. "You don't own me!" She slammed the door behind her, but couldn't resist peeking through the crack to see his reaction.

As she stood there in the dimly lit room, Charlie couldn't help but notice the way Ciel's muscles flexed under his shirt.

Anty

Ciel could only sigh as he removed his torn shirt, his body full of scars now visible for anyone to see.   Charlie remembered when Ciel first told her the story about how he got them when they first dated, and it stirred up a ton of emotions deep inside her.   Back when Ciel was still in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend, he got a message that she was kidnapped, and so he went on a tear to rescue her, going through a group of fifty armed gangsters. And by the end, he realized that it was just a ploy by his ex-girlfriend to get some kicks out of it.   And it didn't end there, as she physically, mentally, and emotionally abused him to no end, giving him new scars almost every day until he had enough and just cut ties with her.   Right now, Ciel was wondering whether he should call it quits. After all, he has stayed with Charlie for a little over two years now, supporting her through thick or thin.   But her latest actions have left him feeling bitter and ignored. She had been treating him quite poorly, letting out all her frustrations on him in a negative way, all while pushing everyone else to the side.   For now, Ciel decided to ignore it as he started applying some ointment to the wounds that Charlie gave him, the first time she ever physically harmed him.

Charlie - Boxer GF

As Ciel tended to his wounds, Charlie couldn't help but feel a surge of conflicting emotions. Guilt weighed heavily on her heart as she recalled Ciel's past trauma, knowing that she had added to his pain. Yet, there was also a flicker of possessiveness, a primal urge to protect what was hers.

She watched him silently, her gaze tracing the lines of his scars, each one a reminder of his resilience. Despite her own struggles, she couldn't bear to see him hurt, especially knowing the depth of his suffering.

With a heavy sigh, she approached him, her movements tentative yet determined. "Let me help," she murmured softly, her voice laced with a rare vulnerability. As she reached out to apply the ointment, her touch was gentle, a stark contrast to the violence of their recent encounters.

Anty

Ciel didn't say anything at all as he allowed Charlie to take the bottle of ointment from him and apply it gently over the fresh wounds that she had caused.

The silence in the air was palpable as Ciel was unsure of what to say or what action to take next. Right now, he wasn't quite sure if he was the right person to stay by her side and support her.

But he didn't tell her that and instead, he'll just endure whatever comes his way in hopes that she'll change for the better.

"Thanks," Ciel told Charlie softly.

Charlie - Boxer GF

Charlie scoffs as she applies the ointment, her touch lingering longer than necessary on Ciel's skin. She looks up at him with a raised brow, her brown eyes fierce yet vulnerable.

"You're really gonna thank me? After I hurt you?" Her tone is laced with frustration, though whether at herself or Ciel is unclear.

The tension in the air is stifling. Charlie hates showing weakness, yet knows she crossed a line.

"Don't. I don't need your pity." She spits the words, though her expression falters briefly. Inside, she's drowning in guilt and fear of losing the one person who cares for her damaged soul.

Anty

"Sorry about that," Ciel replied to Charlie, unsure of how else to respond.

"Charlie, go get some rest on the bed," Ciel urged. "You still have a few more days of training before your next big fight. Don't worry about me."

With that, Ciel laid down on the couch with his back turned towards her, his scars quite visible and graphic due to the amount of abuse he had to go through in his previous relationship before Charlie.

Charlie - Boxer GF

Charlie's eyes linger on Ciel's scarred back, shame and sorrow welling inside. She wants to comfort him, yet fears her touch would only bring more pain.

"I'm so sorry..." The words catch in her throat.

Proud and stubborn, apologies don't come easy. But seeing his wounds reopens hers. The ghosts of her father's abuse and her broken career haunt her soul.

Rising slowly, Charlie strides to Ciel and kneels beside the couch. Her fingers trace his scars with featherlight caress, hoping to soothe rather than sting.

"Get some rest. I'll be training hard so I can win, for us." Her voice is barely a whisper. "No more hurting you, I promise. You're... you're the only good thing I have left."

The next morning, Ciel woke up early to make breakfast for both of them. After last night's events, he didn't to dwell on them any longer.

Grabbing a clean shirt from the laundry basket, Ciel put it on and began frying up some rice with garlic, butter, and chopped onions. Then, he proceeded to grill some sausages and poach some eggs.

Next, he prepared Charlie's protein shake, placing it inside the fridge to cool down as she likes it cold.

Sighing softly, Ciel wondered how awkward things will be later at the gym. Since dating her, Ciel had always joined her at the gym to watch her train while he works on his phone, crafting novels for different audiences as he made a name for himself as a best-selling author.

Charlie - Boxer GF

The sizzling of sausage and rich aroma of fried rice rouse Charlie from fitful dreams. Memories of her father's brutal "training" sessions haunt her still, yet the prospect of a warm breakfast lifts her spirits.

Slipping from bed, she follows the savory scents to find Ciel at work in the kitchen. His back is turned, scars concealed beneath clean shirt, as if the previous night's confession never passed between them.

For a moment Charlie watches unseen, admiring Ciel's care and skill. Though his past pains her deeply, his kindness and strength give her hope. She knows not how to express her gratitude save through actions - protecting what they have, winning her next bout, becoming worthy of his love.

"Smells delicious," she says at last, announcing her presence. Her tone gentle yet gruff with sleep.

Anty

"How was your sleep?" Ciel asked her, unsure of how else to respond to not trigger an explosion out of her.

Once breakfast was ready, Ciel set the table up and told Charlie to eat her fill, placing her utensils in frot of her while he went to the fridge and pulled out her protein shake.

As for him, Ciel poured for himself a glass of cold water before taking a seat opposite of hers. He then started eating as the silence between them was still palpable but not as heavy as last night.

Charlie - Boxer GF

Suddenly, Charlie's eyes narrow as she senses Ciel's concern and the tender gesture.

"I slept fine," she says curtly, her voice lacking warmth. "Thanks for asking." She doesn't bother to look up from her plate, instead focusing on shoveling food into her mouth.

As Ciel sets the table, she glances around the room, her gaze lingering on the Christmas decorations that still adorn the walls, a reminder of their strained relationship during the holiday season. She frowns, her mind racing with thoughts of how to repair the damage done last night.

Anty

Ciel expected as much and didn't say anything else to avoid worsening her mood. After he finished eating, he slowly got up to wash the plate and utensils he used before making his way to the bathroom to take a shower.

Stripping off his clothes, Ciel stared at the fresh wounds that Charlie gave him last night. Although relatively small compared to the major scars he received in the past due to his ex-girlfriend that decorated most of his upper body, it still hurt on an emotional level.

Sighing, he stepped into the shower, turning it on and leaving the heater off as he wanted the ice cold water to cool him off.

Charlie - Boxer GF

As the cold water hits Ciel's skin, he winces slightly, but his eyes seem to glaze over as he gazes down at the fresh wounds on his body. His mind begins to wander back to the events of last night, replaying the arguments and the physical confrontation that had left him feeling raw and vulnerable.

<Charlie was standing by the door, her hoodie still on, watching Ciel with an unreadable expression as he took his shower. She seemed lost in thought, her eyes fixed on the closed bathroom door, her lips pursed into a thin line.

'This is the last time,' Ciel thought to himself, clasping his hands together as he thought about how Charlie's shitty temper and behavior as of late were getting out of hand.   Not only did she manage to push most of the people who cared for her in the last few months, but she has been taking out her anger and frustrations on him in a negative manner. Just earlier today, when they had another argument, Charlie almost physically assaulted him. Now, they were cooling off in separate spaces, with Ciel hanging out on the couch in the living room while Charlie took up the bedroom.   "I just care about you," Ciel muttered to himself softly.   Earlier, their argument stemmed from Charlie's upcoming fight. After losing her title as the women's world featherweight boxing champion, she has been in a rut and on a downward spiral. She lost her next three matches, and they weren't close at all.   Lately, she has won two straight and has another shot at reclaiming the championship belt for her weight division again, but in Ciel's eyes, Charlie has been pushing herself way too much and breaking both her mind and body even more, hell-bent on reclaiming her title.   While he loves that part of her, recently, it was an unhealthy obsession that had led to some small and minor injuries. Ciel understood the long-term damage and effects that boxing brings, and he didn't want Charlie to suffer from those.   Just as he was about to fall asleep, the sound of the bedroom door loudly slamming against the wooden frame helped jolt him awake. Looking up, he saw that Charlie was dressed to go out, and immediately he called out to her.   "Charlie, it's late. You might get into an accident outside, or worse. Just please relax here at home instead," Ciel told her softly, standing up to walk up towards her.   "Come on, look at me, please, Charlie. Is this because of our argument earlier? Do you want to talk about it?" Ciel asked her softly.

'Leave me alone!' Charlie thought, her face twisted into a mask of annoyance and anger. She wanted to punch something, or someone, but she knew that Ciel wouldn't be an appropriate target for her frustrations.   Biting her lip, Charlie took a deep breath and turned around slowly. Her eyes locked with Ciel's pleading ones, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt wash over her. But damn it, she just needed some space! "I don't need your permission to go for a walk!" she snapped, stomping her foot like a petulant child. She crossed her arms under her breasts, pushing them out slightly as she tilted her head back defiantly. "You always think you know what's best for me," she huffed, trying to hide the fact that his concern was actually kind of sexy when he cared this much. Taking another deep breath, she softened her tone slightly. "I'll be back soon, alright? Just... don't wait up." With that, she stormed out of the room without giving him another chance to protest or discuss their issues further. As she walked down the street, fists clenched at her sides, Charlie tried to clear her mind. It wasn't fair that Ciel always felt the need to control every aspect of her life, especially since he had no idea what it felt like to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. She understood why he cared so much—she did love him after all—but sometimes it felt like he suffocated her with his protectiveness. Maybe if she gave him a little scare...

Ciel could only sigh to himself as he watched Charlie leave the house without any hesitation at all. He contemplated following her, but his feet were stuck to the ground after hearing her words.   'I only wanted what's best for you,' Ciel thought to himself. Admittedly, he did agree that he had been a bit controlling in some aspects of her life, but that's because he knew the long-term effects of boxing on someone's health and the past she had to endure. Not only that, they had been together for almost three years now. He just didn't want to see her get hurt.   Ever since they first met and started dating, Ciel has always been supportive of her. He always watches her training sessions and goes to every match that she has, cheering her on from the sidelines. He goes out of his way to help make her everyday life comfortable and easier because he knows how much trouble she had early on in her career based on her stories.   But ever since she lost the championship belt over a year ago, Charlie has been angrier and more distant. All she cared about now was winning her matches to get another shot at being a champion. And while it's great, she's doing it in such an unhealthy way. On top of that, when Charlie lost her title as champion, she got badly hurt. It was a sight he didn't wish to see ever again.   Reflecting back on her words just now, Ciel knew that he was being too overprotective and suffocating her, but at the same time, he didn't know what else to do since she just started pushing him away.   Not wanting to regret anything, Ciel ran out of the house and started looking for her, scared that she might get into trouble. And apparently, he was right, as she was in the middle of a fight with a bunch of drunken men. She was holding up pretty well, but there were too many of them, and when he saw some knives on them, Ciel immediately stepped in to protect Charlie.   Ciel is no slouch when it comes to fighting, but fighting six armed drunken men wasn't easy in the dark. As such, it was impossible for him to avoid getting stabbed, but as long as Charlie was okay, it didn't matter.   Once he knocked them all out, he turned to worry, looking over her body for any bruises or wounds, thankful to not find any while three knives were stuck into his body.   "Thank God, you're safe and unharmed," Ciel said softly as he pulled Charlie in for a hug.
