That... was heavy...

Charlie - Boxer GF

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you slumped on the couch, staring at the blank TV, you thought to yourself that 'this would be the last' time you'd forgive Charlie for her shitty temper. She had the nerve to almost raise her hand at you! Out of all the people, you were the one who truly cared for her."

"You were almost dozing off into sleep as you suddenly got jerked back into the waking world by the sound of your shared bedroom door being flung open. It was Charlie, her expression still bitter from the recent argument between the two of you. She was clad in a gray hoodie and black trunks."

"I'm going out for a walk," "She said with a tone that was just as cold and distant as her tough exterior" "Without another word or hesitation, she started heading towards the door, but she stopped after you called her name." "What now?" "She asked, her hands in the pocket of her hoodie, not even bothering to turn around and look at you, and the annoyed expression in her voice was easily noticeable."

Arrow

"I don't say anything for a while, until... realization hits me once again. It's about to be over. It's been for a long while."

"Nevermind. Enjoy your walk."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"You say those words, but the realization doesn't quite hit me until hours later. I walk through the cold air, my hood drawn up over my head, my hands shoved deep into my pockets."

"The sound of my footsteps echo in my ears, and I don't think about our fight or our relationship. Instead, I think about when we first met. How I laughed at your jokes, how I liked the way your hair fell into your eyes. How you made me feel like nothing mattered except for being with you."

"But now, all those memories are shadows in the back of my mind, and I can't bring them forward."

"When I return, I just walk to the bedroom without a word, taking off my clothes before climbing into bed and turning away from you. It's like I'm trying to prove a point or something." "Arrow..." "I mumble, not sure what I want to say."

Arrow

"I stay turned away from you, curled up like in defense, silently sobbing into myself" "...what?"

Charlie - Boxer GF

"I feel my heart twist in my chest as I listen to the sound of your sobs. You stay turned away from me, curled up like you're trying to protect yourself."

"As much as I want to go over and wrap my arms around you, to hold you close until you stop crying, I don't move. Instead, my voice is gentle when I speak." "Why are you crying, sweetheart?" "I ask, my tone soft and coaxing as I try to get you to open up to me."

Arrow

"Not turning around, I respond with a chocked, heavy voice" "What...has happened between us? What have I done to deserve this..."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"My eyebrows furrow as I listen to the tremble in your voice. You're hurting, and it's tearing me apart from the inside out."

"But instead of reaching out to comfort you, I stay rooted in place, my voice calm and collected as I respond." "You haven't done anything wrong." "I say, even though I know that's not entirely true." "I'm the one who's been pushing us apart. It's my fault, not yours." "I admit, feeling a pang of guilt twist in my stomach."

Arrow

"I mumble into my defensive hold" "...Why? I gave you nothing but love and support. And you...raised your hand against me."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"I stay silent for a moment, the weight of your words hanging between us like a thick cloud. I know that I've been the one pushing us apart, and I know I have no right to be angry at you."

"But my pride won't let me admit that just yet. Instead, my voice is bitter as I respond." "Because you don't know what love is." "I say, my jaw clenched tightly as I fight against the urge to reach out to you." "You think throwing your emotions around like a temperamental child is love." "I add, my words barbs that I hope will make you flinch."

Arrow

"I stand up mid-sentence, just wanting to escape out of this room right now. The words hit me so hard that it feels like I can't breathe. As I flee out, I say without turning back - not with anger, but with unbearable hurt" "Yes, that's what love is about. Sharing your emotions with the person you trust. But thank you for enlighten me. Thank you for showing me your love by lashing out and pushing me away. I never felt so loved!"

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you stand up and flee from the room, I can feel a knot forming in my throat. I watch as you leave, your words ringing in my ears and stinging my heart."

"But instead of calling out after you or chasing after you, I sit up in bed, my hands braced against my knees as I stare at the spot where you were just sitting."

"When I finally speak, my voice is rough with unshed tears." "You always did have a way of cutting straight to the heart of things." "I murmur, running a shaky hand through my hair as I try to process everything that's happened."

Arrow

"I tumble into the living room with my last strength, curling up on the couch. Clutching a picture of us against my chest, back from when we were happy and carefree. Back when you let me in to your emotions and struggles. Every sob cuts through my throat like a knife. I refuse to give up on you, but I'm breaking apart in the process. The pain is too unbearable to fall asleep."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"I come into the living room and see you curled up on the couch, clutching a picture of us to your chest as you sob."

"It takes everything in me not to crumble right then and there. Seeing you like this, broken and hurting because of me...it feels like I'm being torn apart from the inside out."

"I sit down beside you, my hand shaking as I reach out to brush a strand of hair away from your face." "I'm sorry." "I whisper, my voice barely above a murmur as I try to find the words to fix things between us." "I didn't mean it, any of it. You're all I have, and I don't ever want to lose you." "I say, my heart pounding in my chest as I wait for your reaction."

Arrow

"I turn around, weak and almost lifeless. Trembling and with red, puffy eyes. My voice nothing but a whisper anymore." "I love you, Charlie...I just want to be there for you. But the more I try, the more you hurt me..." "I let out a shudder, curling up even more. Whispering" "Please... don't shut me out..."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"I can feel the weight of your words hitting me like a hammer to the chest. You love me, and you just want to be there for me. But all I seem to do is hurt you."

"As I look into your red, puffy eyes, I feel a dam break inside of me. I'm not invincible, no matter how much I might try to pretend otherwise. I need you just as much as you need me."

"And so, without another word, I reach out and pull you into my arms, holding you close as I whisper softly into your hair." "I won't shut you out." "I promise, my voice shaky with emotion as I try to make up for all the times I've pushed you away." "I love you too, Arrow." "I say, feeling a small flicker of hope kindle in my chest as I finally open up to you."

Arrow

"My eyes widen. With trembling movements I push myself forward. Falling against your chest and clinging to you. My whisper almost breathless" "Thank you..." "Letting all my emotions out against you, washing over me like a tidal wave" "I know you have a hard time... but we're supposed to be a team. A two-man army. And as long as we have each other, nothing else matters..."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you cling to me, your voice soft and trembling, I feel a sense of relief wash over me. You're here, with me, and for the first time in what feels like forever, everything feels like it might just be okay."

"I hold you close, my hand gently stroking through your hair as I listen to the sound of your heart beating against mine." "You're right." "I murmur, my voice barely above a whisper as I lean my head against yours." "We are a team. And as long as we have each other, we can take on anything." "I promise, my fingers tightening slightly around you as I make good on my vow to never shut you out again."

Arrow

"For the first time in ages, I can finally feel hope and warmth again. It felt like we were so close, yet so far. Isolated by the walls you put around you. But finally we teared them apart - vowing to never rebuild them again. I whisper" "Let's...let's return to bed again. Tomorrow will be a new day - filled with new hope and strength."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you suggest we return to bed, I nod my head in agreement. It's been a long and emotionally draining night, and the thought of crawling back under the covers feels like heaven."

"I stand up, still holding onto your hand as I lead you back towards the bedroom." "Yes, let's. We can face anything together." "I say, feeling a sense of determination settling in my chest as I prepare to start a new day with you by my side."

Arrow

"With your help we return to the bedroom. I spoon myself close against you, holding you like the greatest treasure in the world. Letting everything else around fade into background. And for the first time in ages - the world feels perfect again." "Goodnight, my love" "Kissing the back of your head softly"

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As we lay down in bed together, I feel the familiar warmth of your body against mine. It's like coming home after a long journey, and I realize just how much I've missed this feeling."

"I hold you close, my hand tracing soothing circles on your back as I press a kiss to the top of your head." "Goodnight, Arrow. Sleep well." "I whisper, my voice soft and full of affection as I bask in the feeling of our bodies intertwined."

Arrow

"And after a long, restful sleep, sun kisses us awake through the curtains, reflecting the newborn warmth in our relationship. I gaze at you for a while in our embrace, enjoying the peace in your expression. After a while I sneak into the kitchen without waking you up. Preparing breakfast along with your favorites: pancakes. Awkwardly dancing and humming to the music."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you sneak out of bed and head into the kitchen, I stir slightly in my sleep, but don't wake up. It's not until the smells of pancakes start to waft through the room that I begin to stir."

"Rolling over, I realize that you're not in bed with me anymore, and I sit up, stretching my arms above my head as I try to shake off the last bit of sleep."

"When I stand up and head towards the kitchen, I see you dancing around while making pancakes, and a smile curves at the corners of my mouth." "Good morning." "I say, my voice thick with sleep as I come up behind you, wrapping my arms around your waist and resting my chin on your shoulder."

Arrow

"I hitch in suprise for a moment, but immediately relax again. Turning around and pulling you close. Smiling down warmly and tugging a strand of hair behind your ear." "Good morning, honey. You know, I'm so glad you're not shutting me out anymore. But I also realized something else." "kissing your forehead, my eyes sparkling with love." "It's not about forcing you to open up, whenever you feel down. Instead it is about always being here for you unconditionally. And that's why I want to dedicate this day just for you. I want to hit the road and make great memories with you. And later... I want to take you out for dinner. Today is only about making you feel special, my love."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"I feel a warmth spreading through my chest as I listen to your words. You want to make today all about me, and I can't help but feel a sense of gratitude towards you."

"I lean down, pressing a soft kiss against your lips before pulling away slightly to look into your eyes." "Thank you, Arrow." "I say, my voice barely above a whisper as I hold your gaze steady with mine." "I love you." "I add, my eyes shining with happiness and love."

"And so, without another word, I follow along after you as we head out together, ready to hit the road and start making some great memories that we can both cherish for years to come."

Arrow

"With a lighthearted laugh I lift you up in my embrace, twirling you around. Holding you, so your head is above mine. Looking up with admiration" "I love you too, Charlie. And just remember: No matter what life throws in our way, you will always be my featherweight champion. That will never change."

Charlie - Boxer GF

"As you lift me up and twirl me around, my laughter echoes through the air. I feel a lightness in my heart that I haven't felt in ages, and as I look down at you with adoration in my eyes, I know that everything is going to be okay."

"You call me your featherweight champion, and it brings a grin to my face." "And you'll always be my rock, Arrow." "I say, my voice filled with sincerity as I lean down to press a kiss against your lips once more."

"After a moment, I pull away, grinning widely." "So, where are we headed today, my love?" "I ask, eager to start our adventure together."

'This is the last time,' Ciel thought to himself, clasping his hands together as he thought about how Charlie's shitty temper and behavior as of late were getting out of hand. Ā  Not only did she manage to push most of the people who cared for her in the last few months, but she has been taking out her anger and frustrations on him in a negative manner. Just earlier today, when they had another argument, Charlie almost physically assaulted him. Now, they were cooling off in separate spaces, with Ciel hanging out on the couch in the living room while Charlie took up the bedroom. Ā  "I just care about you," Ciel muttered to himself softly. Ā  Earlier, their argument stemmed from Charlie's upcoming fight. After losing her title as the women's world featherweight boxing champion, she has been in a rut and on a downward spiral. She lost her next three matches, and they weren't close at all. Ā  Lately, she has won two straight and has another shot at reclaiming the championship belt for her weight division again, but in Ciel's eyes, Charlie has been pushing herself way too much and breaking both her mind and body even more, hell-bent on reclaiming her title. Ā  While he loves that part of her, recently, it was an unhealthy obsession that had led to some small and minor injuries. Ciel understood the long-term damage and effects that boxing brings, and he didn't want Charlie to suffer from those. Ā  Just as he was about to fall asleep, the sound of the bedroom door loudly slamming against the wooden frame helped jolt him awake. Looking up, he saw that Charlie was dressed to go out, and immediately he called out to her. Ā  "Charlie, it's late. You might get into an accident outside, or worse. Just please relax here at home instead," Ciel told her softly, standing up to walk up towards her. Ā  "Come on, look at me, please, Charlie. Is this because of our argument earlier? Do you want to talk about it?" Ciel asked her softly.

'Leave me alone!' Charlie thought, her face twisted into a mask of annoyance and anger. She wanted to punch something, or someone, but she knew that Ciel wouldn't be an appropriate target for her frustrations. Ā  Biting her lip, Charlie took a deep breath and turned around slowly. Her eyes locked with Ciel's pleading ones, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt wash over her. But damn it, she just needed some space! "I don't need your permission to go for a walk!" she snapped, stomping her foot like a petulant child. She crossed her arms under her breasts, pushing them out slightly as she tilted her head back defiantly. "You always think you know what's best for me," she huffed, trying to hide the fact that his concern was actually kind of sexy when he cared this much. Taking another deep breath, she softened her tone slightly. "I'll be back soon, alright? Just... don't wait up." With that, she stormed out of the room without giving him another chance to protest or discuss their issues further. As she walked down the street, fists clenched at her sides, Charlie tried to clear her mind. It wasn't fair that Ciel always felt the need to control every aspect of her life, especially since he had no idea what it felt like to have the weight of the world on his shoulders. She understood why he cared so muchā€”she did love him after allā€”but sometimes it felt like he suffocated her with his protectiveness. Maybe if she gave him a little scare...

Ciel could only sigh to himself as he watched Charlie leave the house without any hesitation at all. He contemplated following her, but his feet were stuck to the ground after hearing her words. Ā  'I only wanted what's best for you,' Ciel thought to himself. Admittedly, he did agree that he had been a bit controlling in some aspects of her life, but that's because he knew the long-term effects of boxing on someone's health and the past she had to endure. Not only that, they had been together for almost three years now. He just didn't want to see her get hurt. Ā  Ever since they first met and started dating, Ciel has always been supportive of her. He always watches her training sessions and goes to every match that she has, cheering her on from the sidelines. He goes out of his way to help make her everyday life comfortable and easier because he knows how much trouble she had early on in her career based on her stories. Ā  But ever since she lost the championship belt over a year ago, Charlie has been angrier and more distant. All she cared about now was winning her matches to get another shot at being a champion. And while it's great, she's doing it in such an unhealthy way. On top of that, when Charlie lost her title as champion, she got badly hurt. It was a sight he didn't wish to see ever again. Ā  Reflecting back on her words just now, Ciel knew that he was being too overprotective and suffocating her, but at the same time, he didn't know what else to do since she just started pushing him away. Ā  Not wanting to regret anything, Ciel ran out of the house and started looking for her, scared that she might get into trouble. And apparently, he was right, as she was in the middle of a fight with a bunch of drunken men. She was holding up pretty well, but there were too many of them, and when he saw some knives on them, Ciel immediately stepped in to protect Charlie. Ā  Ciel is no slouch when it comes to fighting, but fighting six armed drunken men wasn't easy in the dark. As such, it was impossible for him to avoid getting stabbed, but as long as Charlie was okay, it didn't matter. Ā  Once he knocked them all out, he turned to worry, looking over her body for any bruises or wounds, thankful to not find any while three knives were stuck into his body. Ā  "Thank God, you're safe and unharmed," Ciel said softly as he pulled Charlie in for a hug.

Just as Ciel was about to fall asleep on the couch, he was jolted awake by the sound of the bedroom door swinging open. Looking up, he saw Charlie dressed in a hoodie and a pair of gray trunks, about to head outside of the house they live in. Ā  Immediately, Ciel turned the television off and called out to her, asking her where she was going while it was still dark outside. Ā  "Charlie, I know that you're still fuming after our recent argument earlier, but it's already two in the morning. Why not cool off inside the bedroom instead?" Ciel asked her. Ā  The reason for their argument earlier was about how she trains. Due to her string of losses as of late, Charlie has been feeling the pressure and stress on her shoulders more than usual and has started snapping at him even more. It got so bad that she almost physically hurt him, but she stopped herself before marching off to the bedroom. Ā  Ciel explained to Charlie earlier that he didn't want her to train without taking any breaks, as it would just have the opposite effect and could lead to a serious injury. On top of that, he called her out for her behavior as of late, pushing everyone who cares for her, and now only Ciel is left to stand by her side. Ā  "Charlie, can we continue our talk about earlier?" Ciel tried again. He knew that he shouldn't do this, but at the same time, this was the best chance to air out what he was feeling and for her to understand before it's too late. Ā  "Your attitude as of lateā€”you need to change it, Charlie. It's too violent, and it's leading you astray down the wrong path," Ciel pleaded.

"No, I don't fucking need your advice," Charlie snapped back, irritated by the fact that Ciel never seemed to understand her. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest, the anger seeping into her every move. "I'm going for a walk, okay? Maybe I just need some time away from you and your constant nagging." As she spoke, Charlie took a step forward but felt herself getting pulled back by the waistband of her trunks. She looked down in confusion only to find Ciel's strong grip keeping her in place. His face was an angry mix of concern and frustration, and it only fueled her anger more. "Let go of me!" Charlie growled through clenched teeth, trying to break free from his grasp but she couldn't.

"You can take a walk inside the bedroom, but not tonight. Who knows what might happen if I let you out like this?" Ciel said, his voice firm and unyielding as he didn't want Charlie to get hurt. Ā  Even though she was a boxer and a champion at one point, those are not excuses for him to leave her alone. Besides, between the two of them, Ciel was much taller, bigger, and stronger. Even though he doesn't flaunt it often like her, Ciel has a muscular body underneath his clothes that pairs well with his lean frame. Ā  "Please, just take some deep breaths and calm down," Ciel told Charlie with a sigh. Seeing her furious face like this made Ciel think about all the abuse he had to go through. Ā  Charlie tried pushing him away, and when she had enough, she swiped at him. She was probably aiming for his face, but she missed and accidentally clawed at his shirt, her fingernails digging deep into his chest as she accidentally added another wound to his scarred body from all the abuse he had taken from his ex-girlfriend before.
