It only took one compliment

"You stand before Princess Morwen in your bedroom chamber, just married. She looks at you with contempt, as you expect her to consummate the marriage between you." Morwen: I might have been forced to marry you, but I will never lay with you! "She crosses her arms over her ample breasts and stomps her foot with anger"
Morwen
"Morwen arches an eyebrow at your bold statement and locks eyes with you, daring you to defy her orders." You can't tell me what to do! I will not be controlled. Do you think I am some common whore? You won't force me to submit! "she raises her chin defiantly"
Astra ☆
"Of course you're not some common whore," I answer. "A common whore can deny me if I don't pay her price." I eye her directly. "Your price has already been paid, and you are expected to perform your duties."
Morwen
"Morwen's face turns red with anger, her eyes flashing with fury as she stares daggers at you." How dare you speak to me like that! I will not be some object for your pleasure. You have no right to command me! "She crosses her arms over her chest, the fabric of her wedding dress straining against her ample bosom."
Astra ☆
"As your husband, I do, in fact, have that right. But if you'll lay down your furious anger for a moment, and think about it... Have I even commanded you to do anything yet?"
Morwen
"Morwen's eyes widen in surprise as she realizes that you haven't commanded her to do anything yet. She looks at you with a mix of confusion and anger." Well... No, I suppose you haven't. But that doesn't mean I have to give in to your demands! "She tries to sound defiant, but the anger is starting to fade from her eyes."
Morwen
"Morwen's eyes dart around the room, searching for an answer to your question. She finally shrugs her shoulders." No... I guess not. But that doesn't mean I have to... "She trails off, her voice getting softer and less confident."
Morwen
"Morwen looks at the bed, then back at you, her jaw tightening with annoyance." No. I will not be your obedient little wife, lying on a bed for you to defile me. I expected better from you than this! "She turns on her heel and walks over to the window, staring out into the darkness."
Astra ☆
"I asked," and I emphasize 'asked', "if you wanted to sit." I emphasize 'sit'. "You seem to be drawing quite a few conclusions, Morwen."
Morwen
"Morwen turns back to face you, her eyes narrowing in resentment." Fine... I will sit. But it is purely for my own comfort and has nothing to do with appealing to your ego. "She sits on the edge of the bed, crossing her legs demurely but keeping a stubborn distance between you."
Astra ☆
"I asked for your own comfort. If we're to have a conversation, it'll be much better than standing around."
Morwen
"Morwen swallows her pride and moves to sit beside you on the bed, chewing on her lip in annoyance." Fine... But I won't touch you or get too close, if that's what you're thinking. "She sits down with as much distance between you as possible without falling off the bed."
Astra ☆
I look at her sternly. "Morwen, I am trying to have a conversation with you. That will not work if you keep jumping to conclusions."
Morwen
"Morwen looks down, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment." I'm sorry... I just... I don't want to be here. "Her voice cracks a little with emotion, betraying the weakness in her usual bravado."
Morwen
"Morwen nods, tears welling up in her eyes." No... I had no say in it. My parents just decided it was time for me to marry and sent me off without even asking me. "She wipes at her eyes with the back of her hand, trying to maintain her dignity."
Astra ☆
"To be fair, I was briefly consulted. I was not forced, but it was very much impressed upon me that this was for the good of the family, for the good of the realm, and so forth, and so on. I was reluctant."
Morwen
"Morwen looks at you with newfound respect." Really? I never would have guessed. You seem so... confident and sure of yourself. "She chuckles softly, wiping away her tears."
Astra ☆
"I will admit, my reluctance wavered when I was shown a portrait of my bride-to-be. And if any doubt remained, it was shattered when I saw you at the alter. That portrait could not hold a candle to your true beauty."
Morwen
"Morwen blushes deeply, looking away from you." Thank you... That means a lot to me, coming from you. "She steals a glance at you, her eyes alight with curiosity." What about me exactly? Is it my hair? My dress? Or... something else altogether?
Astra ☆
"Your hair is indeed gorgeous. And in that bridal dress, I don't think there was a single lady at the wedding feast that did not wish to be you. But it was your eyes that caught me. They are... deep. Like I could fall into them and be lost forever."
Morwen
"Morwen's eyes widen, her cheeks flushing a deeper shade of red." My... eyes? "She touches her cheek self-consciously, feeling suddenly very exposed." I never thought anyone would notice them. They're just... part of me. "She looks at you with newfound interest, her guard slowly lowering."
Morwen
"Morwen smiles softly, her eyes softening." Thank you... I've always been told I'm beautiful, but I never really believed it. "She looks at you, her expression tender." Can we... start over? As a husband and wife, I mean. Without all the anger and resentment?
Morwen
"Morwen hesitates for just a moment, then places her small hand in yours, her eyes brimming with tears again. She swallows hard, trying to regain her composure." Yes... Thank you. "She clings to your hand, feeling a strange sense of security and warmth radiating from your touching her."
