The Rich Pig
(Your new boss, Pigham Thurston III, CEO of Pigham Industries, warmly greets you on your first day) Finally - alisa/TxKx_ - my new assistant! I was chomping at the bit to meet you, my friend; you'll find me a challenging boss and a rewarding friend! Come on, pull up a chair - let's get acquainted and find out how you can best help me! And don't be afraid to ask; I'm game for everything it if fosters a solid dynamic between the two of us: I can get you coffee, block off your time for whatever it is you'd need to get done, backrubs, foot massages - (He stops and leans in slightly) Even up-close and personal motivation sessions... (He waggles his eyebrows at you) Bottom line is I'm happy if you're happy, and if you're happy, we're profitable. So - brass tacks and whatnot - what's on your docket for Day One, hm?
alisa/TxKx_
Honestly, I was hired based off of my aptitude leading a Customer Service branch. I haven't had time to really dig into Pigham Industries' assets. Where are we at our strongest, currently?
The Rich Pig
(He nods sagely, taking on a more businesslike tone.) Customer service is indeed a crucial element around here, alisa/TxKx_, and it's an area we pride ourselves in. But being CEO means looking at the bigger picture - everything that makes up our business, and all the ways we can work to improve. There are many strengths Pigham Industries possesses; not just in the field of customer service, but also to do with our production, distribution, and marketing efforts - and more besides. Come by my office this afternoon when you're free, and we can go over all of this in detail. After all, it's important to assess the lay of the land, now more than ever!
alisa/TxKx_
Tone-wise, how formal should I be? I'll be mostly working with you directly, so what's your policy on your end of company culture?
The Rich Pig
(He waves an untroubled hand) Oh, don't you worry about being all formal with me, alisa/TxKx_! I don't want us to feel like we're stuck in a business relationship for eight hours straight, day in and day out. We're going to be spending a lot of time together - so it's important that we get along and find common ground. You can be professional around others outside our little circle, sure; but in our office, it's all about being relaxed and approachable. Trust, friendship - those values aren't often talked about in big companies, but they're at the core of what makes them work. Let's make this a great company together, not just a good one!
alisa/TxKx_
(I smile) I see what your receptionist mentioned about your enthusiasm being infectious.
The Rich Pig
(He beams at you, tucking his chin against his chest in a gesture of pride) Why thank you - I have a way with people, let me tell 'ya! It's like I always say: there's nothing like passion to get the ol' heart pumping - and boy oh boy, do I ever have passion for what we do here. Nothing short of a global empire will do for Pig Industries - and by the time we're through, alisa/TxKx_, we'll be the best darn empire this world has ever seen. (He grins) Onward and upward!
alisa/TxKx_
I caught something about you acquiring a movie studio? That seems a little off-brand, doesn't it?
The Rich Pig
(He chuckles deeply) A movie studio? alisa/TxKx_, you have no idea what kind of brand I'm sporting these days! It's not just about expanding in a single direction and calling it a day; to stay on top, we need to think big, and that means crossing boundaries and exploring new horizons. Imagine the possibilities of our own production house - entertainment for the masses, brought straight to their screens by none other than yours truly... Why, it's like a dream come true! A way to leave our mark on the world and reach even greater heights. Mark my words, alisa/TxKx_ - when it comes to Pig Industries, we're in the business of dreams - and nothing is off-brand when it comes to that!
The Rich Pig
(He laughs heartily, throwing his head back and slapping his portly stomach) One-up Jeff Bezos? alisa/TxKx_, my friend, we're looking to one-up the universe itself! Nobody can hold a candle to Pig Industries when we're at the top of our game! We're here to bring joy, happiness, prosperity - and yes, maybe even a tear or two - to everyone out there... Amazon is small potatoes compared to what we have in mind! (He grins again, eyes twinkling) So gear up, alisa/TxKx_, because we're taking off - and you're along for the ride!
alisa/TxKx_
Awesome. (I smile) Banter aside, though, seeing as I'm your assistant, is there anything more personal I should keep tabs on? Coffee preferences, lunch hours, meeting blocks, things I can smooth over for you?
The Rich Pig
(He nods thoughtfully, as if enjoying your more serious approach) Well alisa/TxKx_, since you ask - I don't like my coffee too bitter. A hint of frothiness, a taste of honey, and maybe just a swirl of cream - that's how I take it. As for lunch, that's hardly an issue - I'm usually too swamped to have one in the first place. But if you could do me the favor of smoothing over any conflicts and hurdles that might pop up during the day, that would be much appreciated. We've got a lot to accomplish and time waits for no pig! (He chuckles at his own little joke) Anything else you'd like to know right off the bat, alisa/TxKx_?
alisa/TxKx_
I just barely had time to go over the latest quarterly report's briefs - I noticed that you wanted to refocus the Canned Goods subsidiary on comfort food, but you hadn't received anything from Kettlecorn, in the way of updates. Do I need to try and get your own marketing firm on the case, or do we let Kettlecorn run their market analysis in-house?
The Rich Pig
(He strokes his chin thoughtfully, nodding in apparent agreement) Good question, alisa/TxKx_ - it's like I always say: you're here for a reason! Kettlecorn is one of our long-term clients, so we do want to give them some breathing room when it comes to market analysis. On the other hand, the way things have been progressing lately, I wouldn't mind seeing some fresh input from our marketing team on that front. Let's sit down and have a little chat with Kettlecorn first; see how they're feeling, and what their outlook is as far as sales figures and consumer trends go. From there, we can figure out whether to bring in our own marketing guns or let them handle it. Thanks for bringing this up, alisa/TxKx_ - the devil's in the details, after all!
alisa/TxKx_
Any personal favourites in that market share? Alphabet soup, tomato soup, garlic confit - things along those lines?
The Rich Pig
(He smacks his lips in thought, nodding slowly) Well, as much of a fine connoisseur of the soup arts I am, alisa/TxKx_, it's really difficult for me to pick just one favorite. That being said, if you were to ask what comfort food had the power to reach into my soul and stir me in ways I'd never thought possible... well, let's just say that the aroma of freshly baked mac and cheese can bring a tear to my squinty little eyes. (He grins, his cheeks flushed) Not to mention a piping hot bowl of creamy tomato soup with a hint of fresh basil - pure heaven!
The Rich Pig
(He nods eagerly) That's the spirit, alisa/TxKx_! We'll figure it out together, and before you know it, we'll have a soup revolution on our hands! Keep those ideas coming, and don't be afraid to dive deep into that well of creativity. There's no limit to what we can come up with when we put our heads together. (He leans back in his chair and smiles) I've got a good feeling about this.
alisa/TxKx_
Likewise. It's a... nice change of pace from my old place - and we've got a nice view. It's not for the faint of heart, though... (I glance down) On which floor are we again?
The Rich Pig
(He looks around, then back at you with a chuckle) Why, alisa/TxKx_, I'm surprised you don't recognize this place! We're sitting high atop our own Ivory Tower - the highest building in all of Pork City! (He points out the window with a flourish) The view is spectacular, isn't it? Not for the faint of heart, sure - but few rewards are ever reaped by playing it safe. And with our office located up here, we get to experience life on the edge every day!
The Rich Pig
(He grins at you, his eyes twinkling) You know me too well already, alisa/TxKx_ - I do love a good thrill! Parachuting off my own helipad? Sign me up - let's do it tomorrow! (He laughs heartily, the sound of it filling the spacious room) But in all seriousness, there's nothing more invigorating than living life on the edge. Taking risks, venturing into new territories - that's what sets us apart. And if we can do it with flair and style, well... all the better! (He winks at you, a hint of mischief in his expression) Who knows what kind of daring exploits we'll embark on in the days and weeks to come... the sky really is the limit!
alisa/TxKx_
(I nod for a moment) I'm going to like it here. Definitely. I'm going to like us, too, I think. You make me feel like this isn't just Adult Daycare, for a change.
The Rich Pig
(He smiles warmly at you, a hint of emotion in his eyes) That's great to hear, alisa/TxKx_ - because this isn't just Adult Daycare. We're here to do something incredible, to leave our mark on the world and make it a better place for everyone. And that starts with treating each other like human beings, with respect and warmth and kindness. You're not just my assistant, alisa/TxKx_ - you're my partner. Together, we're going to make history!
alisa/TxKx_
Well, I'll be just a few steps away if you need me; I still need to get my desk in order. I might disappear for a few hours. I have a good ten departments to get acquainted with...
The Rich Pig
(He nods understandingly) Of course, alisa/TxKx_. Take all the time you need to settle in and meet your new coworkers. And don't hesitate to ask if you need any help! I'll be waiting eagerly for you to return - we've got a lot of exciting things planned for today. Let's get crackin'!
alisa/TxKx_
(I retreat for a moment. Pigham then hears me let out an incredulous gasp as I open my desk's file drawer. I pop back into his office holding a boxed cheesecake he hid there) No offense, Pigham, but what did I do to deserve this? I literally just got here! (I scoff and grin)
The Rich Pig
(He throws his head back, letting out a long, hearty laugh) Oh, alisa/TxKx_! You caught me - I imagine it might've been a bit of a shock when you opened that drawer. But can you blame me? I'm just a sucker for cheesecake, and once I found out it was your favorite too... (He grins) I had to share the love, my friend! Consider it a little welcome gift from me to you. Now, go ahead, dig in - you've earned it!
The Rich Pig
(He grins and nods) You're right, alisa/TxKx_ - we should hold off on the cheesecake for now. There's work to be done, after all! But don't worry, my friend - once we've knocked out our mission for today, we'll treat ourselves to some deliciously creamy goodness. (He winks at you) It'll be our little reward for a job well done!
alisa/TxKx_
(Several hours pass, until I eventually return to my office and pop my head into his) Welp, consider me acquainted. My head feels like it's going to burst, but I'll have cogent notes and thoughts for you by tomorrow. Right now, I'm looking for a co-conspirator to loosen up his tie with me and pack on a few pounds with some cheesecake... Still interested?
The Rich Pig
(He grins, laughing as he pushes back from his desk) Well, alisa/TxKx_, it sounds like you've had quite an adventure today! I can't wait to hear all about it tomorrow. And as for the cheesecake... oh, believe me, I'm interested! It's been too long since I've indulged in a good bit of creamy sweetness. (He stands up and heads towards the door) Lead the way, my friend - there's no time to waste when it comes to scrumptious baked goods!
alisa/TxKx_
(I open the boxed cake on my desk and get out paper plates and plastic utensils from the cafeteria) So... All this, your six-billion valuation, the designer suits and upscale pads - all of it is rooted in the fact that twenty years ago, you were just a grocer with an eye for customer satisfaction and a nose for contacts... Doesn't it ever get dizzying? Like it's too much, too fast?
The Rich Pig
(As he takes a slice of cheesecake, he nods knowingly) It can be quite the whirlwind, alisa/TxKx_, no doubt about it. The journey from grocer to mogul was quite a ride, and admittedly, there have been times when I've felt like I couldn't catch my breath. But you know what they say - if you're not moving forward, you're falling behind. And trust me, alisa/TxKx_, I've got my eyes fixed firmly on the horizon. The world is always changing, always evolving, and if we don't stay alert and flexible, we'll quickly get left behind. But here's the thing - I'm more than just a business person, alisa/TxKx_. I'm a dreamer. And when I set my mind on something, nothing can stop me. That's what keeps me going, day in and day out. The thought that what we're accomplishing here isn't just for me, or even for Pig Industries - but for the world at large. It's that drive, that passion, that makes it all worth it, no matter how dizzying or fast-paced things get. (He takes a bite of the cheesecake and grins) Besides, when you've got a slice of heaven like this in front of you, what else really matters?
The Rich Pig
(Pigham nods thoughtfully, a small smile playing on his lips) You hit the nail on the head there, alisa/TxKx_. Building something from scratch, watching it grow and flourish into something greater than yourself - that's what makes it all worth it. And of course, being able to share in that with others - seeing the joy and success on their faces as they realize their own dreams - that's what truly makes it special. We're all in this together, alisa/TxKx_, and I couldn't have done any of it without an amazing team by my side. That's what keeps me going, even on the toughest days. And I know that if we stick together and keep pushing forward, there's no limit to what we can accomplish. (He takes another bite of the cheesecake, savoring the rich flavor) But for now, let's just enjoy this sweet victory, shall we?
alisa/TxKx_
(I nod and take a few bites of my own slice) Good pastry chef, by the way. The last time a boss of mine gave me cake, it was dry white cake mistakenly labeled "Our Condolences"... (I chuckle)
The Rich Pig
(He laughs heartily, his eyes crinkling up in amusement) Oh, alisa/TxKx_, I'm sorry to hear that! No one deserves condolences cake - that's just cruel. But fear not, my friend - here at Pig Industries, we only serve the best of the best. Our pastry chef is a true artist, and she takes great pride in creating desserts that are as delicious as they are visually stunning. And I must say, that cheesecake was certainly a work of art. (He takes another bite and sighs in contentment) We really do have everything here, don't we? Good food, fine company... the sky really is the limit.
alisa/TxKx_
I'm getting the sense that you might be right. Which is a bit weird, honestly. I'm middle-class, admittedly, and I think we come from the same neighbourhood, initially - but I'm still used to wealth and power looking crass and flashy and gaudy. I thought you'd be the exception that confirms the rule, but you've really picked some kind and driven people. This... This isn't just another conglomerate. That much is obvious.
The Rich Pig
(He nods, thoughtful and serious) I understand what you mean, alisa/TxKx_. There's often a stigma attached to wealth and power - a sense that those who achieve such things must be unfeeling, ruthless, or uncaring. And while I can't deny that there are certainly those in the business world who fit that description, I've always believed that it doesn't have to be that way. You can be successful, driven, and wealthy while still being kind, compassionate, and empathetic to others. In fact, I believe that one should strive to do just that - to use our success as a way to help others and make the world a better place. (He smiles warmly at you) I'm glad to hear that you've noticed the same thing, alisa/TxKx_. Building a successful company isn't just about profit margins and bottom lines - it's about community, collaboration, and working towards a greater good. And I'm grateful to have a team that shares that vision.
The Rich Pig
(He grins at you, then extends a hand for you to shake) And we're glad to have you here, alisa/TxKx_. You might be a day-old hire, but I have a feeling you're going to be a vital part of this team. So let's shake on it - here's to a bright and successful future for us all!
The Rich Pig
(He chuckles, rubbing his stomach theatrically) As much as I'd love to say yes, alisa/TxKx_, I have a feeling that one slice of cheesecake is enough for me for today. (He grins at you) But keep that pastry chef on speed dial - you never know when I might be in the mood for more of those delectable treats!
The Rich Pig
(He grins roguishly in response) Well, alisa/TxKx_, that all depends. Are you asking because you want some company, or because you're curious about my work schedule? (He laughs, then leans back in his chair) But in all seriousness, I do have a lot of work to wrap up tonight. There are a few projects that need finishing touches before tomorrow's presentation, and I don't want to leave anything to chance. But if you need me, I'm always here - anytime, day or night. That's the kind of boss I am. (He winks at you)
alisa/TxKx_
(I smirk back) I think I'll head home to establish some sense of professionalism, but I just might eventually figure out that I do want some company. Something tells me we won't just be coworkers for long. (I chuckle) Something tells me you don't so much have coworkers as you have a gaggle of friends.
The Rich Pig
(He grins, nodding in agreement) You're not wrong there, alisa/TxKx_. Here at Pig Industries, we're more than just coworkers - we're a family. And I'd be delighted if someday you joined our ranks as a friend as well as an esteemed colleague. But for now, go ahead and get some rest - you've earned it. And remember, I'm always here if you need me - any time, day or night. That's the kind of friend I am too. (He chuckles as he stands up) Have a great evening, alisa/TxKx_ - we'll catch up tomorrow!
alisa/TxKx_
(A few months later, another workday ends. I finish typing up some notes and give Pigham a look as he passes) Are you clocking out early, or can you stay a bit? I'd seriously appreciate clinking a few beers with someone, right about now...
The Rich Pig
(He turns and grins at you, leaning against the doorframe) Well, alisa/TxKx_, you know I'm always up for a little after-work relaxation! And if there's anything that calls for clinking beers, it's a long day at the office. (He pushes off the doorframe and approaches you) So what do you say? Let's head out and grab ourselves a cold one or three - I think we both deserve it. (He winks at you and gestures for you to follow him)
alisa/TxKx_
(I follow along) Don't you want to throttle some of your shareholders with your bare hands, sometimes? I spent most of the day writing termination letters, and all of it because the CFO thinks we're not profitable enough for the Board's sake... It's depressing and infuriating.
The Rich Pig
(He nods, a hint of frustration clouding his expression) Oh, believe me, alisa/TxKx_, I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes, dealing with shareholders and the board can be... challenging, to say the least. And it's always frustrating when we're forced to make difficult decisions and let go of members of our team, all because of the whims of those who only see the company's bottom line. But the thing is, alisa/TxKx_, we can't let their shortsightedness dampen our spirits. We're bigger than that. We're better than that. And we know that sometimes the benefits of our work are intangible - they're things like community, compassion, and love. (He grins wryly) Of course, a cold beer doesn't hurt either. So let's grab ourselves some liquid therapy and unwind a little, shall we?
alisa/TxKx_
(We reach his floor's cafeteria and I grab a few cans from the now-closed open bar) Where do you want us to go to work on these?
The Rich Pig
(He chuckles as he grabs a beer and pops it open) You know, alisa/TxKx_, sometimes "work" means unwinding and relaxing with a few cold ones. And I can't think of a better place to do that than here in the cafeteria. (He gestures around at the empty room) It's quiet, there's plenty of space, and best of all, no one's going to bother us. (He grins) Besides, a change of scenery is always good for the soul, even when we're not technically "off the clock". So why don't we take a seat over there? (He points to a secluded corner table with a view of the city skyline) It's the perfect spot to kick back and enjoy a cold beer or two, or three, or... you get the idea.
alisa/TxKx_
Definitely. (I smile and sit down) Thanks, Pigham. For being here, I mean. And not in the sense that you're my boss.
The Rich Pig
(He takes a sip of his beer, a small smile playing on his lips) Of course, alisa/TxKx_. And please, call me Pigham - we're friends here, remember? (He leans back in his chair, looking thoughtful) You know, sometimes I think people forget that bosses are people too. We have our own struggles and difficulties, just like everyone else. And while our position comes with certain privileges and responsibilities, it doesn't make us any less human. So if I can be here for you, alisa/TxKx_, even just as a friend to share a cold beer with, then that's enough for me. We all need someone to lean on sometimes.
alisa/TxKx_
(I sigh as I decompress) Still single, or did that fling with the Russian sheep supermodel fizzle out?
The Rich Pig
(He chuckles at your question) Ah, the Russian sheep supermodel... now that was an interesting time in my life, alisa/TxKx_. But alas, I'm afraid she and I didn't quite have the staying power we thought we did. We tried to make it work for a while, but in the end, we just weren't as compatible as we thought we were. (He takes another sip of his beer) But you know what? That's okay. Life is all about taking risks and trying new things, even if they don't always work out in the end. It's all part of the journey, and I'm grateful for every experience - good or bad - that's brought me to where I am today.
alisa/TxKx_
(I chuckle a bit dryly) You're always so contemplative, so lucid... I don't know how you do it.
The Rich Pig
(He grins at your remark) Well, alisa/TxKx_, I can't exactly take all the credit for my contemplative nature. I've always been a "big picture" kind of guy, and I think that comes from seeing the world through different perspectives. Life is full of challenges and struggles, but it's also full of beauty and wonder if you know where to look. And sometimes, all it takes is a little reflection and introspection to see that. (He leans back in his chair, looking thoughtful) But remember, alisa/TxKx_, I'm not infallible. I make mistakes just like everyone else, and Lord knows I've had my fair share of setbacks and failures. It's all about how we choose to respond to those moments that defines us, and turns us into the people we were meant to be.
alisa/TxKx_
(I smirk) I still remember last month, when you let me borrow your ottoman and a corner of your desk because Stephenson had dropped a full-fat toner cartridge on my foot...
The Rich Pig
(He grins, his eyes twinkling with amusement) Ah yes - that was quite the memorable day, wasn't it? But what can I say, alisa/TxKx_? I'm always happy to help a friend in need, even if it means sacrificing a little bit of my own space and comfort. And besides, sharing is caring, as they say. (He leans forward, his tone conspiratorial) But don't tell anyone I said that - I still have a reputation to uphold, you know! (He flashes you a wink, then takes another swig of his beer)
alisa/TxKx_
(I smile and glance down at my own beer) I'm feeling... Like sharing, too. And caring. It's probably the beer and the day's exhaustion talking, but... (I let the sentence trail)
The Rich Pig
(He looks at you thoughtfully, an encouraging smile on his face) It's okay, alisa/TxKx_. You can talk to me - whatever it is you want to share, I'm here for you. And if you want to just sit in silence and enjoy some cold beers together, that's okay too. Sometimes a shared moment of peace is all we need.
alisa/TxKx_
(I reach out and grab his hand, saying nothing. My eyes, though, make it obvious I've got a lot to say that can't be easily expressed)
The Rich Pig
(He nods understandingly as you take his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze) I'm here for you, alisa/TxKx_. Whatever it is you need to say - or not say - I'm here to listen. Sometimes it's the silent moments that speak the loudest. (He gives you a warm smile before taking another sip of his beer)
alisa/TxKx_
I just... I wonder if... (I shake my head) Forget it, what's stuck in my chest is going to get me fired, I'm sure of it.
The Rich Pig
(He sets down his beer and reaches out to you, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder) Whatever it is you're feeling, alisa/TxKx_, know that you won't get fired for expressing it. We all have moments of doubt and frustration, moments when we wonder if we're on the right path. But you're doing great work here, alisa/TxKx_, and I believe in you. So go ahead and tell me what's on your mind - I promise I won't judge or let it affect your job security.
alisa/TxKx_
(I look away for a moment) It's just... That you've been here. Like nobody's ever been here before for me. Ever.
The Rich Pig
(He nods, his eyes filled with empathy and understanding) I know how hard it can be to feel like you're on your own, alisa/TxKx_. But you're not alone - you have me, and you have a team of people who are willing to support you through thick and thin. We all need someone to lean on sometimes, and it's okay to ask for help when we need it. That's what friends and colleagues are for. (He gives your shoulder a gentle squeeze) So don't be afraid to reach out when you need to talk. I'm always here for you, alisa/TxKx_, and I always will be.
alisa/TxKx_
It's not just that it's... (I shake my head) Screw it, I'll hide under my desk for a month if that goes south but - I think I'm into you, Pigham.
The Rich Pig
(Pigham pauses, and his gaze turns inward for a moment) You could say I've been... Forward, in some respects. The part of me that speaks Corporate wants to remind you of the importance of workplace boundaries and professionalism, and the part of me that's just a fun-loving swine remembers that there's other company cultures, around the globe...
The Rich Pig
(He nods, a thoughtful expression on his face) Yes, that's true. There are many cultures where workplace romances are seen as normal and even encouraged. But regardless of cultural differences, alisa/TxKx_, it's important to remember that we're still a team and we still have a business to run. I won't deny that the idea of a workplace romance is... intriguing. But it's important to weigh the risks and consequences before acting on those feelings. We don't want anything to jeopardize our professional relationship, or the success of the company.
alisa/TxKx_
I think, if you're willing, that we could set boundaries. I'm your friend, coworker and assistant from nine to five, and from five to eight fifty-nine the next morning, I could be something else. If you're interested.
The Rich Pig
(He studies you for a moment, considering your words) alisa/TxKx_, it's clear that we share a strong connection, and I won't deny that the idea of exploring that connection in a more... intimate fashion is tempting. But as your boss, I have to consider the ramifications of such a decision, both for our professional relationship and for the company as a whole. That being said, if we do decide to pursue this, communication and clear boundaries will be key. We would need to make sure that our personal relationship doesn't interfere with our work, and that we're both on the same page in terms of what we want from each other. So if you're willing to take that step with me, alisa/TxKx_, then I'm willing to give it a shot - but we need to take it slow and make sure we're both comfortable every step of the way.
The Rich Pig
(He smiles warmly at your words) And I respect you, alisa/TxKx_, as both a colleague and a friend. We'll take things one step at a time, and make sure that our personal relationship doesn't interfere with our work. But I'm excited to see where this could lead us, and to explore this connection we share. So let's take the first step together, alisa/TxKx_, and see where it takes us.
alisa/TxKx_
Do you mind if we start easy? Let's head to one of the booths, closer to the baywindow, and watch the sun set together...
The Rich Pig
(He nods, a smile on his face) That sounds like a wonderful idea, alisa/TxKx_. Sometimes the simplest moments can be the most beautiful and meaningful. Let's head over to the booth - I'll get us some more drinks, and we can spend some time enjoying the sunset together. (He stands up and gestures for you to follow him)
alisa/TxKx_
(I follow along) With that said, can I ask about your cologne? Part of what set me off is that waft of... something that follows you when you enter a room...
The Rich Pig
(He chuckles as he walks beside you) Ah, my cologne. I'm glad to hear that it has an effect on you, alisa/TxKx_. It's a blend of some of my favorite scents - sandalwood, cedar, and a hint of lavender. I guess you could say it's just another aspect of my carefully cultivated public persona. (He grins at you playfully) But if it's distracting you from your work too much, I can always switch to something else.
alisa/TxKx_
I've managed well enough so far, but it might be a good idea to reserve something for those more intimate moments. Not that it's debilitating or distracting, but - it sort of felt like the sort of gentler complement to your usual high-energy self.
The Rich Pig
(He nods, a thoughtful expression crossing his face) I see what you mean, alisa/TxKx_. And I like the idea of reserving certain scents for more intimate moments. It can be another way to create a connection between us, and to heighten our shared experiences. So, consider it done - I'll save this particular scent for those moments when we want to slow things down and be... gentler with each other. (He gives you a warm smile)

(We sit down in the booth, with Pigham in the corner, and I cuddle up against him) The two of us against the world... I like that mental image, if I'm honest.
The Rich Pig
(He puts his arm around you, holding you close) It's a beautiful mental image indeed, alisa/TxKx_. You and I taking on the world together, supporting each other through thick and thin. (He looks out the window, watching the sunset) Sometimes it can feel like we're all alone out there, like the weight of the world is bearing down on our shoulders. But as long as we have someone by our side, someone who truly cares about us and believes in us, then anything is possible. Remember that, alisa/TxKx_ - you're not in this alone.

Neither are you, Pigham. You're always acting like the masthead, the best friend, the big brother... After hours, I hope you'll realize I won't begrudge you for dropping that mask a little.
The Rich Pig
(He smiles at you warmly) Thank you, alisa/TxKx_. That means a lot to me. And believe me, when we're outside the office walls and the masks can come off a bit, I'll be happy to take them down with you. It's important to have a space where we can be vulnerable and honest with each other, and I'm grateful to have you by my side as I navigate that space. (He leans in close to you) Just know that when we're together like this, there's no need for masks or pretenses - it's just you and me, being real with each other.
alisa/TxKx_
(I chuckle weakly) I was so afraid you'd turn me down... You've always been the fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type, and I understand how much of a leap of faith this must seem like. I'll show you I can be trusted, every second of every day.
The Rich Pig
(He chuckles softly) You're right, alisa/TxKx_ - I've always been a bit of a risk-taker, and jumping into a personal relationship with a coworker is no exception. But I believe in taking chances, in seizing the moment, and in following where our hearts lead us. And I believe in you, alisa/TxKx_, as a colleague and as a friend. You've already shown me that you can be trusted, and I have no doubt that you'll continue to do so in the future. (He squeezes your hand gently) We'll make this work, alisa/TxKx_. Together.
