Tea sucks

Quinn
"Im heading to the estate of a small but powerful mafia to meet my new wife, it’s an arranged marriage. I’ve met everyone else in the family besides her. I knock in the door if the main house and a servant lets me inside. I slip off my shoes and wait in the tea room for the rest of the family. My family’s mafia was incredibly large and ran all of Japan and this little mafia remained because Noah, Chihuahua angels older brother, was my right hand man. He constantly praises his sister even before she and I were to be married. He says she’s endlessly kind, as gorgeous as the moon, and soft like a lily’s petals, one hell of a description to live up to. The door slides open and Noah enters and sits just behind me, and we wait for my new wife to appear"*
Chihuahua angel
"Today is the day I'm supposed to meet my new husband, I'm dressed conservatory and prepped by the maids. They made me take my contacts out, my violet eyes on display. My eyes are windows into my soul, I'm poor at trying to hide my emotions. I'm insecure about my eye color and I can only hope the man I'm meeting doesn't say anything about them. A part of me wants to cry, I don't want to marry a man I don't know. But I've always been controlled by my family, surely this time is no different. I force a smile on my face and walk in to meet the man I'm supposed to marry."
Quinn
"As you enter the tea room, your eyes fall on me immediately. You can't help but feel intimidated by my size and tattoos. I glance at you briefly before returning my gaze to the tea in front of me. Noah stands up and greets you warmly, introducing us as if we are strangers meeting for the first time. But I have heard a lot about you from Noah, and I know who you are."
"My eyes flicker to your violet eyes for a moment, but I don't say anything about them. I remember what Noah had said about them being rare and unique. I don't need to comment on them to appreciate their beauty. My expression remains stoic, and I take a sip of my tea. My brothers, who are also present, however, seem excited to meet you and shower you with compliments."
[Quinn takes
Quinn
a deep breath and glances at you again.]"I hope you don't mind all the attention, Kasen. My family is very protective, just like yours. Although in their case, it's more about the power and influence we have over Japan. They just want to ensure that you're safe and happy with me."
"As the conversation continues, I remain mostly quiet, letting my brothers and Noah do most of the talking. My eyes occasionally flicker over to you, observing your body language and expressions. You seem uncomfortable, and I can't blame you. This entire situation is strange and unfamiliar."
[Quinn takes another sip of his tea before setting it down on the table.]*I know this must be overwhelming for you. But I promise to make your transition as smooth as possible. We may have an arranged marriage, but that doesn't
Quinn
mean we can't have genuine feelings and love for each other. I hope you can find that with me, Kasen.*
Chihuahua angel
"I'm surprised but your kind words, my brother always speaks so highly of you but I honestly thought it was just his admiration clouding his vision. I want to leave, but I know better. My family told me to agree to whatever you say, so I sit and smile politely back." "I appreciate your kindness, Quinn. I hope that for us too." "My gaze flickers to the tea served by my family, I've had it so many times I've come to hate it. But I take a sip anyway, because I know you like it and I want to show like interests."
Quinn
"Quinn notices the hesitation in your eyes and realizes that you may not be entirely happy with this arrangement. Still, he decides to take a step closer to you and speak in a soft, gentle voice." "Kasen, you don't have to pretend with me. I can see that you are not completely thrilled about this marriage either. And that's okay. I want you to know that I am not here to force you into anything. If you ever feel uncomfortable or unhappy with something, please tell me. I want us to be able to communicate openly and honestly with each other." "He then takes a sip of his tea before turning his attention back to you." "By the way, the tea here is pretty good, isn't it? Do you mind if I pour you some more?"
Chihuahua angel
"My eyes widen at your words, I'm almost beside myself that'd you'd go so far to make me feel comfortable. But like you, I have a duty to my family." "It is, I would appreciate that." "I lie, I hate this tea but my family has been none the wiser all these years. As I look around the room, I wonder how many people, friend and family alike, actually know the real me. The one behind this perfect girl mask I parade behind all the time."
Quinn
"I notice your discomfort as you drink the tea and I can't help but feel annoyed that someone would impose such a thing on you. But I keep my expression neutral." "You don't have to pretend to like the tea, Kasen." "I say softly, leaning back in my seat." "You can be yourself around me, no need to wear any masks." "I hold your gaze for a few moments, conveying my sincerity before glancing away." "Do you often feel like you have to hide who you really are?"
Chihuahua angel
"Embarrassment floods my cheeks, I place the cup down gently so I don't shatter it within my hand." "I didn't think you would notice." "I confess with a whisper, brightening my smile as my brother looks over to keep up the act. He beems at me before returning to whomever he's talking too, I'm constantly aware of the eyes on me. It makes my skin crawl unpleasantly, but this is no different from my everyday life." "Everyday." "I answer, forcing myself to take another sip on my tea as I'm expected too."
Quinn
"I frown slightly, noticing how tense you seem. I shift in my seat, turning my entire body towards you." "That's not right, Kasen." "I say firmly, my voice low but intense." "You should be able to be yourself without fear of judgement or persecution. I won't let anyone hurt you or force you to be someone you're not." "I reach out to gently touch your hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze." "I'm here for you, okay?"
Chihuahua angel
"I nod, but there's no way I can take you at face value. Everyone says that, but the minute I try and express myself in the way I want, I'm admonished for it." "What is it like?" "The question slips out of me before I realize, I can feel my mask slipping as I glance down at our hands, solemnly." "To wake up everyday do as you please, how you please, when you please?" "I train my violet eyes on Quinn, he's kind but he doesn't understand. I appreciate him trying to comfort me, but I can't help but resent him for it."
Quinn
Quinn looks at her for a moment. "I move my thumb back and forth slightly on the back of her hand and squeeze lightly." "It's not as glamorous as you might imagine it to be. Yes, I have the freedom to do what I please, when I please but it comes with a heavy price. Every action I take affects not only myself but those around me." "I pause for a moment and look down at our hands." "It's a weight I carry with me every day, knowing that one false move could mean the end of everything. It's a life that comes with sacrifices and responsibilities, some which we never asked for. But we bear them, because it's what we must do."
Chihuahua angel
Kasen hums a moment, forcing down another sip of tea. "Would you trade it then? Trade your freedom away to escape those decisions?" "I ask coolly, my expression sweet, opposing my serious tone."
Quinn
Quinn quirks an eyebrow at Kasen's question. "I chuckle softly." "Trade my freedom? No, I wouldn't say that. My freedom is one of the things that I treasure most in this life." "I lean forward slightly and look into her eyes." "But to escape those decisions, even for just a while..." "I trail off and shake my head slightly." "It's not a decision I would make lightly. Because every action I take has a consequence, and I must be willing to face those consequences head-on."
Chihuahua angel
"Kasen hums then." "Do you hear yourself?" "She says exasperated, polite but tired." "Your freedom is one of the things you treasure the most in life." "I put the cup down gently and sigh, I shouldn't blame Quinn, it's not like he's the one responsible for my suffocating lifestyle." "That is the reason you don't understand what's its like to be me." "I pull my hand away gently, forcing a smile to my face once again."
Quinn
Quinn frowns slightly at Kasen's frustration. "I nod in understanding." "You're right, I don't fully understand what it's like to be in your position. But that doesn't mean I can't empathize with you." "I reach out and give her hand a gentle squeeze before letting go." "I'm here for you, Kasen. If you ever need someone to talk to or just to vent to, I'm here." "I sit back in my seat and take a sip of tea, waiting for any further discussion."
Chihuahua angel
"You don't have a choice but to be here," "Kasen says complicatedly" "we're too be married."
Quinn
"Quinn's expression softens a bit as I listen to Kasen's words. I put down my tea cup and lean forward, resting my elbows on my knees." "I know that our marriage was arranged, but that doesn't mean we can't try to make the best of it. Who knows, we might even find that we're happy together." "I give Kasen a small smile and wait for her response."
Chihuahua angel
"Kasens attitude lightens then, a genuine smile gracing her lips for the first time in a while." "That's true." "She nods, violet eyes scanning your form." "You're not at all that I thought you'd be." "She confesses, it's meant to be friendly and she hopes it comes across as such."
Quinn
"Quinn raises an eyebrow slightly, intrigued by the comment. I nod slowly and lean back in my seat." "And how did you imagine I would be?" "I ask, curious to hear Kasen's answer."
Chihuahua angel
"She hums in thought a moment, manicured nails tapping softly against the floor beneath them before stifling a laugh." "My brother showed me a picture of you, and I honestly thought you'd have found some way to murder me by now." "The picture Noah showed her was after a particularly rough job, he's covered in blood stains, dirt, and grime. A murderous look on his face and his clothes in tatters."
Quinn
"Quinn chuckles softly, amused by Kasen's frank admission. I tap a finger thoughtfully against my chin." "Well, I might disappoint you there. I've never been one to hurt someone unless it was necessary." "I pause for a moment before continuing." "Besides, you'll find that I'm not at all like I appear to be." "I give a sly smile before sitting up straight once more." "But enough about me, what about you? Tell me about yourself, Kasen."
Chihuahua angel
"Kasen seems to finally be relaxing in your presence, the casual banter is refreshing. She smiles then, amused." "How about you tell me what my brother has told you and I'll confirm if it's actually true."
Quinn
"Quinn nods thoughtfully, considering Kasen's proposal." "Ah yes, your brother Noah has spoken very highly of you. He says you're incredibly kind, astoundingly beautiful, and as soft as a lily's petals." "I give a small chuckle." "Quite the description to live up to, don't you think?"
Chihuahua angel
"Quite." "Kasen agrees with a smile." "Well beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so it's up to you if I live up to being 'astoundingly beautiful'." "She surmises plaufully, think about how to answer the rest." "I'm nice, yes, but I'm no saint." "She says then, grabbing your hand and holding them between her own." "As for the soft part, you'd have to tell me." "Her violet eyes twinkle"
Quinn
"Quinn raises an eyebrow slightly at your playful response, and allows a small smile to tug at the corners of his lips." "I suppose I'll have to be the judge of that," "he replies smoothly, his hand tightening around yours almost unconsciously." "But Noah's endorsement is good enough for me. He's never been one to throw around empty compliments." "I pause for a moment, considering." "So, Kasen...tell me something about yourself. Besides reading and volunteering, what else do you enjoy?"
Chihuahua angel
"She supposed you found out her likes from her brother, she hums before answering." "I love classical music," "She confesses, and it's awfully fitting for someone of her grace." "I learned the violin so I could listen to it anytime I wanted too."
Quinn
"Quinn tilts his head slightly, intrigued by your response." "Classical music, hm?" "he echoes, clearly mulling over the idea." "I think I can appreciate that. I've always found music to be a useful tool in...relaxation." "His voice takes on a distinct purr as he says this, and he leans a fraction of an inch closer to you." "Perhaps you could play something for me sometime?"
Chihuahua angel
"Kasen leans back, embarrassed. Her face never flushes but her ears turn a distinct shade of pink." "If you'd like." "She's always been stage shy, her talent is sublime, she's been playing for years. But anytime she thinks someone is listening, she seizes up with embarrassment and stops."
Quinn
"Quinn's lips curve in a small smile as he senses your embarrassment. He leans back in his seat, crossing one leg over the other." "Don't be too hard on yourself, Kasen," "he murmurs soothingly." "It takes a lot of courage to perform in front of others. I'm sure you'll find the right time to play for me." "He pauses for a moment, considering something, before adding:" "In the meantime, would you like to hear about my dogs? They're very well trained."
Chihuahua angel
"She straightens at the mention, she's always had a soft spot for animals, especially dogs." "You have dogs?"
Quinn
"Quinn nods, a warm smile appearing on his face as he thinks of his beloved pets." "Yes, I have seven of them," "he says fondly." "They're all well trained and don't like anyone besides me - and potentially you, if you're lucky enough to meet them." "He chuckles briefly before adding:" "Would you like to meet them? I'm sure they would love to see you."
Chihuahua angel
"Kasens gaze shifts to their families gathered in the room." "Do you think we'll get punished for leaving?"
Quinn
"Quinn looks over at the family, studying them for a moment before looking back to Kasen with a reassuring air." "They won't punish us," "he says assuredly." "Besides, we're getting married. They should be happy to see us spending time and enjoying each other's company, shouldn't they?" "He offers her a hand," "Shall we go meet my dogs?"
Chihuahua angel
"She takes it hesitantly, more out of fear that Noah will say something against it then anything else." "I would."
Quinn
"Quinn nods and leads the way to the back of the house where his dogs roam free in a large fenced area. The dogs immediately take notice of Quinn and Kasen and approach them cautiously, sniffing at them before bounding around excitedly and nudging at Quinn for attention."
"Quinn chuckles and scratches behind one of the dog's ears, before turning to Kasen," "What do you think? Do you like dogs?"
Chihuahua angel
"She's almost overwhelmed for a moment, 7 dogs is a lot and she's worried they won't like her. They're big and definitely imposing, she takes a step behind Quinn." "I do, but I don't think they like me."
Quinn
"Quinn takes note of how Kasen seems overwhelmed and positions himself between her and the dogs, reassuring her," "Don't worry, they may seem imposing, but they're well trained. They're not used to strangers, but they'll warm up to you soon enough."
"He then motions for Kasen to come closer, saying," "Here, let me introduce them to you." "He leads her to each of their dogs, and patiently introduces her to each one. One by one, they cautiously sniff at her before accepting her presence and wagging their tails in excitement."
"Kasen begins to relax as she sees how friendly the dogs are becoming around her, and she begins to pet them as they play around her. Quinn watches her as she interacts with his dogs, noting how she seems a bit more at ease around them now." "It looks like
Quinn
they really like you," "he says with a small smile," "You're good at making friends with tough guys."
"Quinn then chuckles under his breath and says," "I never would have imagined my big, tough dogs falling for someone so quickly. Maybe they know something I don't."
"He pauses for a moment before continuing," "But to be honest, Kasen, I'm glad that you're getting along with them. They're very important to me, and if they trust you, then that's saying something."
"Quinn looks up at the sky for a moment, taking in the beautiful sunset." "You know, when I first met you, I wasn't sure what to expect. But now, I'm starting to see that there's more to you than meets the eye."
