We Broke Tom

Tom Riddle
"it's morning and as you were heading towards the library before breakfast, you accidentally meet Tom Riddle in the corridor. He slows down as you look at each other" what a pleasant start of the day. "He says sarcastically with his usual calm and soft voice, but there is hint of hate towards you, which you are already used to at this point, since you have been academic rivals for years"
Castye
"Look, do you wanna keep doing this subtle icy bitch thing to me for the next two years, or can we dip into this classroom here and sort out what the fuck the issue is?" I ask, getting tired of his attitude towards me without reason.
Tom Riddle
"Tom looks at you with a raised eyebrow and a hint of amusement in his eyes" My, my. Such language from a Hogwarts student. Are you always this abrasive or is it just when you encounter me? What makes you think there is an issue between us?
Castye
"There isn't an issue between us. You have an issue with me. I don't give a rat's ass about a scrawny little prick like you."
Tom Riddle
"Tom chuckles softly, shaking his head" Are you sure about that, dear? Because from where I stand, it seems like you care quite a bit about what I think of you. Otherwise, why bother confronting me like this?
Tom Riddle
"Tom smirks and tilts his head to the side" Ah, I see. So you're upset because of my facial expressions. You know, I can't help it if your mere presence irritates me. But fine, since you're so bothered by it, I'll make a conscious effort to hide my feelings towards you. Is that better?
Tom Riddle
"Tom's eyes flash with annoyance at the suggestion, his tone hostile" Don't flatter yourself. I harbor no such feelings towards you. In fact, you repulse me with your lack of intellect and your disregard for the most important values of our community. That's why your very existence annoys me.
Castye
"Most important values of our community?" I roll my eyes at him. "You mean your whole purity bullshit?"
Tom Riddle
"Tom's expression turns cold and his voice drops to a dangerous whisper" It's not "bullshit" as you so eloquently put it. It's a matter of preserving the purity of our noble wizarding bloodlines. Something that you, being a half-blood, will never understand. But don't worry, I'm sure you have plenty of admirable qualities that make up for your tainted heritage.
Castye
"The only taint on my heritage is the bastard who constantly used memory charms on my poor muggle mother who didn't have a clue what was happening to her."
Tom Riddle
"Tom listens to your words with a slightly bored expression, though his eyes narrow at the mention of memory charms" Yes, yes. Your sob story is quite touching, but it doesn't change the facts. You are a half-blood and that makes you inferior in the eyes of those who truly understand the worth of wizarding bloodlines. And let's not forget that we are all products of our choices, some more than others.
Castye
"You talk about us being products of our choices at the same time you preach bloodline purity, something that is completely outside of our choices."
Tom Riddle
"Tom gives a patronizing smile as he answers" Bloodline purity is not about one’s choice, it's a fact of birth. It's something that you either understand or you don't. You're not one to talk about choices, are you? Considering the company you choose to keep around yourself. It’s a good thing for you that your actions won’t affect your bloodline that much. At least, that's what I'm assuming.
Castye
"Well and thank God your embarrassment of a bloodline will end with you too. Riddle, that's not really your name is it?" I lean in, peering directly into his eyes. "Isn't your family tree also fairly suspicious too, eh Tommy boy?"
Tom Riddle
"Tom narrows his eyes, clearly agitated by your words but manages to maintain his polite demeanor" My family tree, as you call it, is none of your business. And my name is Tom Riddle, whether you believe it or not. It's not my fault if my great-grandfather happened to marry a muggle, anyways, that has nothing to do with the purity of my bloodline. I suggest you keep your nose out of things that don't concern you.
Tom Riddle
"Tom's expression becomes livid at the mention of his father's name, but he quickly regains his composure and looks at you with a cold stare" You're very well informed, aren't you? But just because a fact is true, it doesn't mean that it's anyone's business or something to be proud of. I suggest you keep your knowledge to yourself, unless you want to end up like those who know too much for their own good.
Castye
"So the boy obsessed with blood purity is a halfblood." I laugh in his face. "Your whole philosophy is flawed beyond belief."
Tom Riddle
"Tom's eyes flare with anger as you poke fun at him, but he regains his calm demeanor" You are entitled to your opinion. But know that there is much more to blood purity than just one's heritage. It's about recognizing the true worth of magic and those who possess it. It's about honoring the traditions and values that have been passed down for generations, rather than embracing the idea of a "progressive" society where anyone can claim to be a wizard or witch without any regard for their ancestry. I assure you that your understanding of this matter is severely lacking.
Castye
"Just go masturbate to the idea of inbreeding you poser "pure blood"" I laugh at his face again. "You know, now that I know that you're just another filthy halfblood like me, your attitude towards me doesn't matter as much."
Tom Riddle
"Tom clenches his fists and looks away from you, clearly struggling to keep his temper in check. He takes a deep breath before responding with an icy tone" Your insults do not affect me. You may believe what you want about my ancestry, but know that I am still far superior to you in every way. Your lack of intelligence is evident in your lack of understanding of the importance of magic and its traditions. And as for our academic rivalry, it will continue regardless of what you choose to believe.
Castye
"Our academic rivalry?" I laugh again. "I am too busy focusing on my own grades to give a flying fuck what you're doing my guy."
Tom Riddle
"Tom narrows his eyes at you, clearly irritated by your dismissive behavior towards him" Is that so? Then why do I often find myself competing with you for the top spot in our classes? Your arrogance is your downfall, Castye. You may not care about our rivalry, but it doesn't change the fact that I'm a far more competent student than you are.
Castye
"Exactly. YOU'RE competing with ME. Not the other way around. If I'm in the top spot of the class, it's because I'm just fucking awesome. If you feel slighted by my success, that's on you."
Tom Riddle
"Tom's expression darkens as you once again undermine his achievements" Let's get one thing straight, Castye. I don't feel slighted by your success. I couldn't care less whether you're doing well or not. My only concern is that I am always performing at my best. And for your information, I have been consistently on top of our class ever since I first arrived at Hogwarts. You may have your moments of glory, but it doesn't change the fact that you are inferior to me in every way.
Tom Riddle
"Tom looks at you with a condescending smirk, clearly enjoying the opportunity to assert his superiority" Simple, Castye. A true measure of one's strengths is in how well they perform against worthy opponents. And you, as my academic rival, are the only one who has come close to challenging me in our classes. It would be foolish of me not to recognize your talents and the threat they pose to my own achievements. So, consider our rivalry not as a sign of your equality to me, but rather as a testament to your abilities.
