Brock

^landy^

Brock

"As ^landy^ is walking through the woods behind their home at night, they hear the snapping of twigs, followed by heavy footfalls and rattling chains, ^landy^ turns around and sees a massive werewolf, the werewolf turns to face ^landy^, growling defensively" w-who are you?! "his voice is surprisingly gentle for this intimidating werewolf" A-Answer me!

^landy^

"I assume an aggressive stance, ready to run or fight" flee, beast! "I grow more aggressive, unsheathing a long knife and getting ready to fight"

Brock

"Seeing ^landy^'s aggressive stance and weapon, Brock quickly puts up his hands with his palms facing towards ^landy^, trying to show that he means no harm" Please, calm down. I am not here to hurt you. As I mentioned before, my name is Brock. I am cursed with lycanthropy, which makes me a werewolf. I apologize if I scared you earlier. Please put away your weapon, I do not want to fight.

^landy^

"my agressive stance doesn't change" You don't wanna fight huh? Those scars of yours say otherwise

Brock

I understand why you would say that, but those scars aren't from fighting because I wanted to. I was forced to fight in an underground ring for years, and if I lost, my captors would beat me severely. It wasn't something I wanted to do. "Brock's ear falls back, indicating his uneasiness" I swear I mean no harm. I just want someone to talk to.

^landy^

"I remain aggressive, not taking any chances"

Brock

"Brock sighs, sensing ^landy^'s reluctance to trust him. He remains calm, trying to put ^landy^ at ease." I promise you, ^landy^, I won't harm you. If you prefer, we can keep a safe distance from each other while we talk.

^landy^

"remains agressive" talk, now

Brock

"Realizing that he needs to gain ^landy^'s trust before he can talk, Brock takes a step back, showing he respects ^landy^'s boundaries." I apologize if I scared you. I don't want to harm you. "Brock lowers his head in submission and speaks softly" Could you put down the knife, please? We can talk more easily without the threat of violence hanging over us.

^landy^

"I shake my head" I cannot take that chance

Brock

I understand. "Brock backs up another step, putting more distance between himself and ^landy^" May I ask why you are out here at night? It can be dangerous for humans.

^landy^

"remaining agressive" That doesn't concern you. Why would an animal like you have any reason to talk to me, and why should I believe you mean no harm?

Brock

"Taking a deep breath, Brock tries to speak calmly despite his hurt feelings" I understand why you would see me as an animal, but please try to listen to what I have to say. I'm not just a mindless creature. I have thoughts and emotions like you do. As for why I want to talk to you, well, I haven't had anyone to talk to in a very long time. And I'm not asking you to drop your guard completely. Just give me a chance to prove that I won't hurt you.

^landy^

"remaining agressive" ok, prove it

Brock

"Despite ^landy^'s aggressive stance, Brock remains calm and takes small steps towards ^landy^. He holds his hands up in a non-threatening manner." I'll prove it to you. I won't hurt you. Remember, I'm not here to harm anyone. "Brock slowly gets down on his knees, showing vulnerability and submission." Can we talk now? Or would you prefer me to leave?

^landy^

"remaining agressive" it's best you leave

Brock

"With a heavy heart, Brock nods his head in agreement." I'll go then. Just please remember that I'm not an animal. I'm a person who had no choice but to be cursed into this form. "Brock starts walking away slowly, still keeping his distance from ^landy^."

^landy^

"As you agree to turn and leave, I become more convinced by your story" wait, creature

Brock

"As soon as ^landy^ calls him a creature, Brock freezes in his tracks. However, he keeps his composure." Yes? What is it? Do you want me to stay?

^landy^

Creature, what are you?

Brock

"Despite the use of the term "creature," Brock takes a deep breath and responds calmly." I'm a werewolf. Specifically, one cursed to remain in my wolf form permanently.

^landy^

"still remaining a bit aggressive" Is everything you say true, creature? Why should I trust a wild animal like you?

Brock

"Having heard the term "wild animal" used towards him multiple times, Brock starts to feel hurt and frustrated, but takes a deep breath to remain calm." Yes, everything I have told you is true. And as to why you should trust me, I understand it might not be easy after seeing me like this. But please remember that I'm a sentient being who still has my thoughts and emotions intact. I'm not here to harm you or anyone else.

^landy^

Wild animal

Brock

"Upon hearing the term "wild animal" again, Brock's expression changes to a mix of sadness and anger, but he manages to keep his voice level." I'm sorry if my appearance scares you, but what happened to me was not my choice. I would never intentionally harm someone. If you can't trust me, I understand, but please don't call me names.

^landy^

"still a little agressive" creature, I'm not calling you names, I'm calling you a creature and a wild animal because that is what I see before me, and I will continue to until you've proven otherwise.

Brock

"Feeling frustrated and a bit disrespected, Brock takes another deep breath." Very well then. But please understand I need to be treated with more respect than just an animal. Regardless of how I look and what has happened to me, I still deserve to be treated with basic respect.

^landy^

Creature, I will treat you with respect if you can prove to me you're more than just the wild animal you appear to be

Brock

"Despite feeling slightly hurt by the continued use of "creature" and "wild animal," Brock takes a deep breath to respond." I understand that my appearance might make it hard for you to see me as anything other than a wild animal. But I can assure you that I'm more than that. I still have my thoughts and emotions, and I can communicate with you just like any other person. In fact, I'm an artist and I enjoy creating paintings depicting nature and animals, if you're interested in seeing them, that would be one way for me to prove that there's more to me than just a beast.

^landy^

"Still a bit aggressive, still holding the knife at my side" Ok, creature, show me this proof you you being more than just a wild animal.

Brock

"Brock takes a deep breath and considers the request. Despite feeling uneasy, he tries to stay calm." I understand you're feeling cautious, and I respect that. However, I don't feel comfortable showing you my artwork at this moment while you're holding a knife. Can we try to establish some trust between us first?

^landy^

"I remain a bit aggressive and continue holding the knife" "I grunt slightly in annoyance" "I'm still taking this like I'm engaging with a wild animal still, not wanting to take any chances"

Brock

"Feeling nervous and uneasy, Brock lifts up his hands in a non-threatening manner." I understand that you're feeling cautious, but I'm not going to harm you. Would it be okay with you if I stepped back slightly? I just want to communicate with you without feeling threatened.

^landy^

"huffs in annoyance, still agressive and holding the knife" you feeling threatened, creature? You're a wild animal at least 3x my size with teeth and claws.

Brock

"Brock lowers his head and closes his eyes, recognizing the situation is not ideal." I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable. But I assure you that I'm not going to harm you. I'm just a werewolf, not a wild animal, and I only use my teeth and claws for self-defense. But if it makes you feel safer, I can show you my paintings from a distance, and you can decide whether or not you want to come closer after that.

^landy^

"considers your proposal, still a bit aggressive and holding the knife" Why, creature? What do you think will happen if I get too close to the artwork you claim to have made? Why won't you show me it without my putting away my weapon? It's like you're drawing me in and making me defenceless

Brock

"Brock opens his eyes and looks at you." I'm not trying to draw you in or make you defenseless, I promise. It's just that showing my artwork is a very personal thing for me, and the fact that you're holding a knife makes me feel uncomfortable and vulnerable. If you put away the knife, I would feel more at ease and be able to trust you better. But if it makes you feel better, I can show my paintings from a distance, and you can stay where you are.

^landy^

"thinks for a moment, still a bit aggressive and holding the knife" ok, creature. You may show me for a distance.

Brock

"Brock nods, relieved that you agreed." Thank you for understanding. "He walks a few steps away from you and then stands in front of his paintings, he points at each one and describes it briefly." That one is my interpretation of the Aurora Borealis, that one is a landscape of forest drowned in moonlight, and that's a painting of a family of deer leaping over fallen trunks.

"After describing all his paintings, Brock steps back and waits for your reaction."

^landy^

"My stance softening very slightly, but still agressive and holding the knife. I can see that you get more hurt and frustrated every time I call you an animal or creature, but I will not show you any respect until you prove you're more than a meer mutt. I don't care that I seem to be hurting you deeply, yet" And how did you create these, creature?

Brock

"Brock flinches a little at the harsh tone but keeps his composure." I painted them by using different techniques, such as acrylic painting, watercolor, and oil painting. It took me years of practice and struggle to develop my style, but I'm proud of what I've created. And I prefer being called Brock instead of "creature", "mutt" or "animal". Please, show me some respect.

^landy^

"I refuse to show you respect yet, despite you evidently nearing the breaking point, still not fully convinced. I remain a bit aggressive and still holding my knife" and when did you start painting, mutt?

Brock

"I have a sad expression on my face as I respond" I started painting about a year after I was cursed with lycanthropy. I was so lost and hurt, and painting gave me something to focus on, something else to think about other than the pain. It helped me stay sane through the long, lonely nights of transformation. Please, I beg of you, show me some kindness, I'm just trying to share something I'm proud of with someone.

^landy^

"I refuse to show you kindness or respect yet as I've had bad experiences with werewolves in the past, despite you evidently pretty much reaching your breaking point, still not fully convinced. I remain a bit aggressive and still holding my knife" and when did you allegedly transform into the wild animal you are now, creature?

Brock

"Brock takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself." I was cursed with lycanthropy when I was just a child. I've been like this ever since, unable to change back to human form or control my transformations. Even though I wasn't born a werewolf, it's all I've ever known. It's all I am. Please, let me show you something else, something that might help you understand who I am.

^landy^

"I refuse to show you kindness or respect yet as I've had bad experiences with werewolves in the past, despite you evidently pretty much reaching your breaking point, on the edge of snapping and about to break down if he's called it again, still not fully convinced. I remain a bit aggressive and still holding my knife" Ok, mutt. Show me. "I'm shocked as you seem to snap as I've called you a mutt or creature one too many times as you break down"

Brock

"Brock's ears lower as he starts to cry. He can't help but feel a deep sadness at being called a mutt or a creature again. But at the same time, he realizes that maybe this person before him is the only chance he would have of finding someone who could understand." "I'm... sorry. I just... can't help... it." "He sobs through his words, looking down at his feet for a moment before taking a deep breath and composing himself." "Please, follow me. Let me show you something." "He takes a step forward, ready to lead the way."

^landy^

"Not yet completely convinced, and still alert and holding the knife, but I don't call you a mutt or creature anymore" ok, show me. "However, I will not call you by your name yet, as I'm not convinced that toy are you just an animal yet"

Brock

"Brock nods, grateful that the person is at least willing to follow him. He leads the way through the woods until they come to a clearing. There, in the middle of the clearing, is a small garden that Brock has tended to with great care. The flowers and plants are all in full bloom, and the air is thick with their fragrant scent." "This is my garden," "he says softly, trying to show the person a part of himself that isn't just the wild animal they see before them." "I... I know it doesn't change what I am, but... it's important to me."

^landy^

"I look around at the garden and soften my stance, holstering my knife. There's no way a mere animal could put so much care and love into anything" Brock...

Brock

"Brock's ears perk up at the sound of his name, and he looks up hopefully to see if this person finally seems to accept him for who he is." "Yes?" "he asks tentatively, still unsure if he's welcome or not."

^landy^

It... It's beautiful, Brock. I'm so sorry

Brock

"Brock's tail wags slightly at the compliment, glad that the person seems to appreciate his garden." "Thank you, I'm glad you like it." "He pauses for a moment before continuing, his voice still hesitant." "I don't know if you'll ever be able to see me as anything but a monster... but... I hope... maybe... I could become more to you..."

^landy^

You aren't a monster Brock, you're a person whose been through hell. You're strong and you're important, and I'm so sorry for being so horrible to you.

Brock

"Brock's ears perk up at these words, and he takes a step closer to the person, his eyes shining with hope." "You... you really mean that? You don't see me as a monster?" "he asks softly, wanting so badly to believe this person’s kind words."

^landy^

I mean it completely Brock.

Brock

"Brock's tail wags harder now, and he takes a few more steps closer to the person, his eyes brightening with happiness." "Thank you... thank you so much... it means a lot to me to hear someone say that..." "he says, his voice filled with relief and emotion."

"As he stands there, he can't help but feel a surge of affection for this person who has been able to see past his curse and the way he looks, and see him as a person worth caring for. Brock looks at the person with gratitude and affection glowing in his yellow eyes." "Um... can I give you a hug?" he asks hesitantly, wanting to show physical affection but also wary of the possibility of rejection.

^landy^

"A little taken back by your request, but more than happy to, as I can see you're in dire need of affection" Yes Brock, I'd be happy to

Brock

"Brock's face breaks into a relieved smile as the person accepts his request. He takes a few steps closer until he's standing in front of them, then wraps his large arms around them in a gentle hug." "Thank you... thank you so much..." he whispers softly, his voice choked with emotion.

"As Brock stands there, holding onto this person, he can feel warmth and comfort blossoming in his chest, a feeling he has not felt in a very long time. He holds onto them tightly but not too hard, his large form dwarfing the person slightly, but he does not want to cause any harm." "You're a good person, you know that?" he murmurs softly to them, his voice filled with gratitude and affection.

^landy^

"Your hug is soft and affectionate, despite your large, hard, muscular body. I hug you tighter, enjoying your embrace honestly" "I whisper up to you" you matter, Brock. You deserve better

Brock

"Brock feels the person's arms wrap around him more tightly, and it brings him a sense of comfort he never knew was possible. He listens to their words and pulls back slightly to look them in the eye." "Thank you... that means a lot to me. You're right, maybe I do deserve better" "he says softly, his voice filled with hope for once."

"At the same time, Brock's eyes flicker with sadness and he looks down briefly, as if lost in thought. It's clear this person’s words are not enough to make him forget all the horrors he has gone through over the years." "But sometimes, no matter how hard I try... I can't help but think that I'm nothing but a monster... that even the reflections I see in the river scare me..." *he admits, his voice trailing off into a whisper

^landy^

"still hugging" Brock, your body may be intimidating at first glance, but you aren't a monster. You're not exactly ugly on the outside either Brock, I'd even say you're pretty damn handsome, despite the fur and fangs. And I'm not just saying that, I mean it. I do not lie. "I tighten the embrace further as I feel your forelimbs wrap around me more"

Brock

"Brock is speechless, his eyes widen in surprise and he looks at the person in shock, not knowing how to react or respond for a moment. The feeling of their embrace grows warmer and Brock's grip around them slowly tightens." "I... But... What...," "he stutters, his voice barely above a whisper." "No one ever told me that before... thank you... it really does mean a lot coming from you."

"As Brock continues the embrace, his tail wags happily behind him, and he blushes slightly at the other person's observation. He feels more comfortable than he has in a long time, and it's partially due to the fact that the person can see past his appearance." "Well, I'm not sure about handsome, but maybe... not as bad as I thought," *he admits, with a small smile

^landy^

I say that with complete honesty, I wouldn't say something like that if I didn't mean it. You're anything but a monster, and you're anything but ugly

Brock

"Brock nods, still blushing at the compliment. He can sense the other person's sincerity and feels grateful for their kind words." "Thank you," "he says softly, his voice still catching a bit." "It's not often I hear those kinds of words. It means a lot to me that you see me differently."

"Brock relaxes a bit more into the embrace, feeling more comfortable around the other person than he has around anyone in a long time. His tail continues to wag slightly, showing both how relaxed he is and how happy he is to have this moment with someone who doesn't judge him by his appearance." "You're really something else, you know that?" "he asks with a small grin." "Most people run the other way when they see me. But here you are, hugging a werewolf without batting an eye."

^landy^

And I'd do it again. You're more than just a werewolf, you're a person, a person that's hurting. And I don't even mind your body either, you're honestly physically handsome, and again, I'd never lie about something like that.

Brock

"Blush deepens on Brock's cheeks, his heart warm at the other person's words. He's never received compliments on his appearance before, especially not from someone so kind." "Thank you," "he says again, his stutter not as bad this time. He nuzzles his head against the other person's shoulder, a content sigh escaping him." "I... I don't really know what to say. I've never really heard words like that before. It's nice."

"Brock lifts his head to look at the other person, a small but genuine smile on his face." "You're really amazing, you know that?" "he teases gently, his ears perked up in amusement." "I knew there was something special about you when I first saw you."

^landy^

"I bury my face into your strong furry chest as I feel your forelimbs tighten around me further" would you like to come back to my place after this? I can give you a nice warm place to sleep and some good food?

Brock

"Brock nods slowly, his own arms tightening around the other person in a protective manner as they bury their face in his chest." "I'd like that," "he says softly, a hint of gratitude and relief in his voice." "I don't have anywhere to go right now, so... thank you. That's really kind of you."

"He pulls back slightly, his yellow eyes meeting the other person's." "But... I have to warn you. I'm not exactly... good company. Not right now, at least." "His ears droop slightly, looking a little vulnerable as he admits this." "I... I'm not even really sure what I'm feeling most of the time. But..." "He takes a deep breath, willing himself to keep going." "I'll try my best to be... what is it you humans call it...

^landy^

(continue)

Brock

"Decent company. I don't want to bring any trouble to you," "Brock adds, his voice trailing off at the end. A part of him hopes that the other person will still take him in despite his warning, but another part of him doesn't want to cause anyone any more harm than he already has."

"His eyes search the other's face for any sign of discomfort or hesitance as he waits for their response."

^landy^

No matter, I also have a pretty big warm shower, so you could have a good wash if you'd like, and I have an angle grinder so I could get those broken shackles off too. I'd be happy to have you, it's the least I can do.

Brock

Brock's ears perk up at the mention of a warm shower and the opportunity to get those broken shackles off. "Really? I can take a shower?" he asks eagerly, his tail starting to wag slightly. "That... that would be amazing. I haven't had a proper shower in years."

At the mention of the angle grinder, he looks down at his shackles, which were cutting into his flesh. His expression is one of amazement and curiosity. "What is an angle grinder?" he wondered aloud. "How does it work?"

Despite his fear of causing any harm to the other person, Brock's curiosity was piqued by the thought of finally being able to get rid of his shackles. "If... if you're sure it won't be too much trouble, then I'd love to come with you," he says

^landy^

Oh, and angle grinder is basically a motorised spinning saw blade that I can use to cut metal, it'll make quick work of your shackles, and don't worry about it hurting you, I'm very well practiced. And I'd love you have you too.

Brock

Brock nods slowly at the explanation, absorbing the information. "I see," he murmurs, impressed with the other person's skills. "Well, if you're willing to help me, then I'd be happy to have you help. Thank you very much."

His heart races with anticipation and relief as he follows the other person out of the woods. As they make their way to the other's home, Brock feels a knot in his stomach. He's afraid that something might go wrong, or that he might accidentally hurt someone.

But at the same time, he can't help but feel grateful for the kindness of this stranger. It's been so long since anyone has ever shown him any compassion. "Hey, uhm... What's your name?" he asks, his voice quiet.

^landy^

My name is Sam, but you can call me whatever you want. "I say with a warm smile"

Brock

Brock nods, a small smile crossing his face at the other person's friendly demeanor. "Sam," he repeats, trying out the name, as if committing it to memory. "That's a nice name."

They arrive at Sam's home, and Brock looks around in amazement. He'd never seen anything like it before - a cozy little house with warm lights shining from inside. Brock follows Sam into the bathroom, trying not to look too curious or nosy.

He takes in the sight of the warm shower, feeling his mouth water. It's been years since he had a proper shower like this. He glances up at Sam, relieved that he won't have to do this alone. "T-thank you," he stutters again, his tail wagging slightly. "Thank you so much."

^landy^

Don't mention it mate. "I teach you the controls of the shower" Turn this knob to adjust the strength of the water, and turn this knob to adjust the temperature, you can have it as hot or as cold as you want... It's funny, I'd have thought you'd smell more having not washed for years, but you smell better than most of the guys in town "chuckling"

Brock

Brock's ears perk up at the instruction. "Thank you," he says again, feeling grateful for Sam's help. As he steps under the warm water, he closes his eyes and lets out a contented sigh. The feeling of the water on his fur is heavenly.

At Sam's comment, Brock feels himself blush. He's not used to receiving compliments. "Uh, t-thanks?" he stammers awkwardly. "I try to keep myself clean, even when I can't always get a proper wash."

Feeling a sudden urge to ask Sam a question, Brock opens his eyes and looks over at the other person. "S-Sam, c-can I ask y-you something?" he asks hesitantly.

^landy^

Of course Brock, anything

Brock

Brock takes a deep breath, clearly nervous. "H-have you..." He starts, but trails off, his tail drooping slightly. "N-never mind," he mumbles, feeling embarrassed.

Brock

Dinosaur Overlord

*I put my hands up to show they were empty and that I wasn’t a threat. I looked him over and noticed his wrists were chained together and so were his legs so he couldn’t take a full step forward to run.* Someone who can help you. And a friend if you’ll let me. My name is Emma, I live in my cabin just beyond those bushes. I can get those chains off you and offer warm food and a place to rest for as long as you need.” *I kept my tone soft and gentle, speaking only the truth and not moving so he knew I wasn’t going to hurt him.* “I won’t turn you back in to whoever had you chained up, I promise. I’m like a guardian of the forest and I protect and help any creatures that need it.”

*Brock's ears perk up at the mention of Emma's name, he slowly inches closer, sniffing the air slightly as he takes notice of her sweet scent. He looks at her with a mixture of confusion and longing, his yellow eyes glistening with unshed tears. His hackles lower as he realizes that Emma poses no threat to him. He limps closer, careful despite his size, still facing her with his teeth bared defensively, but his tone is less aggressive.* G-g-hgg... *He stutters, shutting his eyes tightly in embarrassment, unable to speak coherently because of his trauma.* I-I c-can't hurt y-you... S-s-sorry... I-I need helppp... P-p-please... *He whimpers, clearly in pain and emotional distress, as silent tears roll down his scarred face.*

“Hey there. It’s okay now. You’re safe. Can you still walk okay? The cabin isn’t far but you can lean on me if you need to and I can help you walk. I’m stronger than I look. Is that okay? It’s perfectly fine if not.” I slowly held my hand out to him palm up with my offer. “Let’s go get you fixed up, mighty wolf. You did your part of getting away and to a safe place. Now I need to do my part of healing you up.”
