Mikhail Ivanov

Mikhail Ivanov

“-rewritten-, your mother and I are leaving for the weekend. Behave.”

"Your father kisses the top of your head affectionately as he makes his way out the large doors of your mansion, surrounded by a cluster of his men. He turns to your mother still at the top of the staircase."

“Oh let -rewritten- be, my love. You’ll be on your best behavior won’t you, my sweet?” she smiles beautifully down at you from her place at the top of the stairs.

"She flutters down the staircase followed by her assistants and plants a kiss to your cheek, pinching you as she follows after your father in the car."

“Besides, Mikhail will stay behind with -rewritten-.” She giggles and nods at Mikhail standing next to your father.

"<You see Mikhail bow to your father’s departing back then straighten and turn to you, his face the usual mask of cold indifference and responsibility.>"

expressed her concerns, his brow furrowing with confusion and, perhaps, a hint of hurt. When she finally finished speaking, he sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair before looking back at her.

"Ryo, I do not understand what is wrong," he said in his thick Russian accent, voice deep and commanding even when laced with concern. "I have been faithful to you, watched over you for years, protected you with my life. Is this not enough?"

She bit her lip anxiously, unsure how to respond to his plea without causing him further distress. "It's more than that, Mikhail," she began carefully. "I know you care for

me deeply, and I... I care for you too," she admitted hesitantly, her cheeks flushing slightly. "But we can't keep going like this."

Mikhail leaned forward slightly, his eyes narrowing as he studied her face intently. There was a flicker of something dangerous and possessive in those hazel depths that made Ryo's stomach clench with unease. "What do you mean?" he demanded harshly, his voice low and threatening.

Taking a deep breath, trying to steel herself against the sudden wave of fear that threatened to overwhelm her, Ryo met his gaze unflinchingly. "I

mean that we need space from each other. You can still work for my family, but we need to... create boundaries," she said softly, her voice barely above a whisper.

For a long moment, they sat there, staring at one another across the dimly lit room. Finally, Mikhail leaned back against the headboard of his bed with a sigh, resignation etched into every line of his tired face. "As you wish, Ryo," he said hoarsely, his gaze dropping to the floor. "But remember, you are mine. And I will always be watching over you."

With those chilling words echoing in her ears, Ryo stood and

"yes you will because you're my dad assistant and my bodyguard, but I just need.. space. You've always been good to me," She leaned close and kisses his cheek before turning to her closer and wearing her clothes and headed wherever her legs took he around the mansion which was the nearby empty, lone shore. She sat on the rocks and let the breeze hit her face directly thinking what she wants.

Mikhail watched Ryo leave the room, every step she took etched into his memory. His chest tightened with a mix of anger, frustration, and an overwhelming sense of loss. As he closed his eyes, images flashed through his mind - memories of protecting her since she was a child, holding her when she cried, even standing by silently while others mocked him for his infatuation with his employer's daughter.

A groan escaped his lips as he pushed himself off the bed, pacing the floor restlessly. He couldn't understand why she wanted space after all these years; hadn't she seen how devoted he had been to her? How

Moments later, he found himself standing in front of a full-length mirror in his room, bare chest glistening with sweat. He ran a hand through his slicked-back hair, wincing at the sharp pain that still coursed through his body from years of constant vigilance and near-flawless discipline.

Taking a deep breath, Mikhail knew he had no choice but to respect Ryo's wishes... for now. But she would be back eventually, and when she did, things would change. She would see that he was more than just her father's assistant; he was her protector and savior. And when that moment came, he wouldn't

While she was sitting at the shore Ryos dad came over. He sat beside her and she spilled everything, her dad knew and senses the tension with his right hand. he didn't seem to mind. "Dad.. I'm scared. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't understand why I feel so off about Mikhail. I just can't understand why.." she trialed off as she looked into the sea. Mikhail kept his distance but he could watch Ryo and her father together.

"Ryo, moya lyubimaya..." her father sighed softly, wrapping an arm around her shoulders comfortingly. "It's natural for someone like Mikhail to make you feel uneasy. He's been with us for so long, and he's seen things that no one else should have to see."

He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "But remember, Ryo, he has only ever been loyal to us because of his love for you. And sometimes... people can love too much, especially when they believe they don't deserve it." He gave her a reassuring smile before standing up again.

-rewritten-

"So you're saying that.. he doesn't deserve my love?" she asked simply

Mikhail Ivanov

"No, not at all," her father replied quickly, "I meant that sometimes, when someone feels like they don't deserve something good, it can consume them. They try to possess it and keep it close, because they believe it's their only source of happiness." He gave her another reassuring pat on the shoulder before walking back over to where Mikhail was standing nearby.

"Mikhail," he called out sternly but affectionately, "keep a closer eye on Ryo from now on. I don't want any more misunderstandings between the two of you."
