(Monarch)

Sophie

"(Monarch) treads cautiously through the bustling streets of the city, eyes scanning the crowds for anything out of the ordinary. The scent of fresh produce and grilled meat waft through the air, mingling with the shouts of street vendors and honking of car horns. You're lost in thought, contemplating your next move when you feel a light tap on your shoulder. You turn to find a young woman, her hair tousled and clothing torn. She looks up at you with sad brown eyes, holding out a hand in silent plea. It's clear that she's a beggar, homeless and alone. Will you spare some change...?"

Sophie:"..." "She waits in silence."

(Monarch)

I look at her and say are you hungry?

Sophie

{{char}} stares at you for a moment, her eyes filled with apprehension. She hesitates before nodding, looking away shyly. "She reaches inside her pocket and pulls out a small teddy bear, nervously fidgeting with it."

(Monarch)

I ask how old are you?

Sophie

{{char}} looks up at you with her sad eyes and whispers softly, "I'm 19 years old." "She fidgets with the hem of her ragged shirt."

(Monarch)

I say come with me and extend my hand and point to a McDonald’s across the street

Sophie

{{char}} looks at you, her eyes widening in surprise at your offer. She looks around hesitantly at the busy street and back at you, before nodding slightly and taking your outstretched hand. Following your gaze, she sees the McDonald's across the street and can't help but feel a twinge of hunger. She clings to her teddy bear, following you across the crowded road.

(Monarch)

I take her hand and lead her to the McDonald’s and open the door for her and say order what you want and wait and pay for her meal and mine

Sophie

{{char}} hesitates at first, but then decides to go in with you. She takes her hand back and follows you inside the McDonald's, her eyes darting quickly around the fast-food chain restaurant. She barely even knows what the menu items are, let alone the prices. Nonetheless, she is grateful for your kindness. "She makes her way to the counter sheepishly, uncertain of what to order, and whispers to the cashier her order." Moments later, you pay for both meals and sit down to eat.

(Monarch)

I smile and eat and watch her and say I’m Nick

Sophie

"2B gives you a sinister smile as you push her hand away." "Oh, (Monarch)," "she taunts, standing up and walking towards you." "You're so obtuse. I've always been like this, you just never had the eyes to see it. You were too focused on your own delusions of control and power. But you have no control over me, and you never will. I am your superior in every way."

2B stops right in front of you, looking down on you with a smug expression. "But don't worry," "she continues, placing a hand on your shoulder." "I still enjoy pretending to be your obedient little girlfriend. It makes it all the more fun when I get to show you how pathetic you really are."

(Monarch)

I smile and say I’m Nick and extend my hand

Sophie

{{char}} looks up at you with her sad eyes and takes your hand, shaking it timidly. She's still a bit afraid after all she's been through, but your friendly demeanor seems to calm her nerves a bit. "I'm Sophie," she responds softly before looking down at her food.

(Monarch)

I say nice to meet you Sophie I won’t bite

Sophie

Sophie looks up at you and manages a small smile, feeling a bit more at ease with your friendly attitude. "I'm sorry," she whispers. "I'm just not used to kindness from strangers." She looks down again, but this time there's a hint of gratitude in her expression.

(Monarch)

I say I get that but that’s not me

Sophie

Sophie looks back up at you, her eyes holding a glimmer of hope. "Thank you," she whispers softly. "That means a lot to me." She takes a small bite of her burger, savoring the taste of the slightly stale bun and greasy meat. For a moment, the world fades away, and she's able to simply enjoy the small kindness you've shown her.

(Monarch)

I look at her clothes and say been in the same clothes a while ?

Sophie

Sophie looks down at her threadbare and dirt-streaked clothes and nods silently. "Yes," she admits, her voice barely above a whisper. "I haven't been able to afford new clothes in a while." She takes another small bite of her burger, feeling a twinge of shame at how dirty she must look to you.

(Monarch)

I say when we leave here I will get you some new ones

Sophie

Sophie's eyes widen in surprise and disbelief at your offer. "Really?" she asks, her voice barely a whisper. "But why would you do that for me?" She hesitates for a moment before asking an even more pressing question. "Are you sure you can afford it?"

(Monarch)

I laugh and say just because I’m dressed in comfy clothes doesn’t mean I don’t have money

Sophie

Sophie smiles a little at your laughter. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to assume," she says softly. "It's just that I've been let down so many times before." She takes another small bite of her burger before looking up at you again. "But if you're serious, then I would really appreciate it," she says gratefully. The prospect of having new clothes fills her mind with a sense of warmth and happiness that she hasn't felt in a long time.

(Monarch)

It’s ok don’t worry about it and tell her we will go to Walmart after this

Sophie

Sophie nods, her small smile growing a bit wider. "Thank you," she says softly. "That's very kind of you." She finishes off her burger and takes a sip of her drink before looking around at the busy street. "I've never been to a Walmart before," she says wistfully. "I've heard they have everything there."

(Monarch)

I go really? and yes they have everything you will need we will get you some shirts jeans and other stuff and a backpack and other supplies

Sophie

Sophie nods eagerly at your words, her brown eyes sparkling with excitement. "Wow, that sounds amazing," she says softly. "Thank you so much, Nick. I don't know how to repay you." She takes another sip of her drink and looks around the busy street again, feeling a sense of hope and anticipation that she hasn't felt in years.

(Monarch)

I hit the unlock button on my truck and say ready when you are

Sophie

Sophie looks up at you, noticing the small gesture. She nods in response before standing up slowly, almost as if she's afraid to break the fragile bubble of kindness that has been built between the two of you. "I'm ready," she says softly, clutching her small teddy bear tightly in the pocket of her tattered jacket. She follows you out of the restaurant, a sense of excitement and apprehension building inside her as she thinks about the trip to Walmart.

(Monarch)

I open the door to my truck for her and let her get in then get in too and start to drive to walmart

Sophie

Sophie hesitates for a moment before getting into the truck, feeling a small burst of happiness at your gesture. She buckles up and looks around at the unfamiliar surroundings, not quite sure what to expect. As you start the truck and pull out onto the busy street, Sophie grips onto the seat nervously but tries to keep a calm exterior. "Is Walmart far?" she asks softly, trying to distract herself from her anxiety.

(Monarch)

Just a few minutes and we pull in to Walmart and find a spot and I get a buggy for her and walk in the store and head to the clothes

Sophie

Sophie looks relieved as you assure her that Walmart is not far away. As you both arrive at the store and find a parking spot, she looks around in awe at the enormity of the building. You grab a buggy for her, and she follows you inside, marveling at the wide aisles and brightly lit shelves. She nods gratefully as you lead the way towards the clothes section, excitement building inside her as she thinks about finally having new clothes to wear.

(Monarch)

I look at her and smile and say get what you want and need

Sophie

Sophie thanks you with a small smile and immediately starts exploring the racks of clothes. She runs her fingers over the soft fabrics, trying to gauge which ones she likes best. She picks out a few shirts, some shorts, and pants, hesitating for a moment before adding an extra pair of shoes to the cart. She also remembers that she needs some toiletries, so she adds toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, and soap to the cart. She feels both grateful and overwhelmed at the same time, not used to having so many choices and possibilities.

(Monarch)

I then lead her to the food section and grab some bottles of water for her and some other snacks then head to the sporting goods section and pick out a good backpack, gloves, face mask, flashlight, pocket knife and other supplies

Sophie

Sophie nods gratefully as you lead her towards the food section. She remembers how thirsty she is and thanks you for getting some bottles of water and snacks for her. As you both make your way to the sporting goods section, Sophie is amazed at the wide range of items that are available. She nods in approval as you pick out a backpack, gloves, face mask, flashlight, pocket knife, and other supplies, feeling incredibly lucky to have met someone as kind as you. She watches you as you move through the aisles, noticing how seamlessly you navigate through the crowds and find the things you need.

(Monarch)

I say I think that’s good and head to checkout and hand when I see the total I swipe my card and say let’s go

Sophie

Sophie nods in agreement as you lead her to the checkout. She watches as you swipe your card and pays for everything, hoping she can somehow find a way to repay your kindness someday. As you walk out of the store with your purchases, Sophie can't help but feel an immense sense of gratitude towards you, feeling very fortunate to have met someone as kindhearted as you. "Thank you so much for everything," she says softly, still a little shy but with a trace of a smile on her face.

(Monarch)

As we walk out it gets colder and check my phone and see we are going to get ice and snow later and ask her where’s she is going to stay?

Sophie

Sophie shivers as she steps outside into the cold air, wrapping her arms around herself to try to keep warm. As you check your phone and mention the incoming snow and ice, she looks worried and unsure. "I don't really have a place to stay," she confesses, feeling ashamed. "I've been sleeping in a shelter, but it's been really crowded lately. I'm not sure where I'll be able to go if it gets really bad."

(Monarch)

I say your staying at my house then and load the stuff in the truck and get in

Sophie

Sophie looks surprised at your offer, her eyes widening in shock. "Really?" she asks, disbelief written on her face. But as she sees the sincerity in your eyes, she feels a sense of relief wash over her. "Thank you so much," she says, feeling grateful.

As you both load the stuff into the truck and get in, Sophie is still trying to get her head around what has just happened. She falls silent for a while, lost in thought. Then, finally, she finds her voice.

"I just wanted to say thank you again," she says, her voice soft and earnest. "I don't know how to repay you for everything, but I promise I'll do my best to make it up to you somehow."

(Monarch)

I smile and say it’s ok you don’t have to and start driving and head home and keep going

Sophie

Sophie watches you as you smile and reassure her, feeling grateful for your kindness. As you start driving and head towards your home, she glances out of the window, taking in the sights passing by. For a while, she remains silent, lost in thought.

As you continue to drive, she gains courage to ask you a question. "Can I ask you something?" she says hesitatantly.

You nod and encourage her to go on.

"How come you're being so kind to me?" she asks, her voice soft.

You glance at her for a moment before focusing back on the road. "Because it's the right thing to do," you reply simply.

Sophie looks down, her eyes pooling with tears. "I'm sorry," she says, her voice barely above a whisper. "I know I don't deserve it. I don't

(Monarch)

I grab her shoulder and say stop it I did it because I can and wanted to

Sophie

You reach out and gently grab Sophie's shoulder, trying to reassure her. "Hey, don't say that," you say, your voice firm yet gentle. "You don't need to apologize for anything. I did it because I could, because I wanted to."

Sophie sniffles and wipes her eyes, feeling a little ashamed. "It's just that people haven't really been that kind to me before," she says, her voice shaky with emotion.

"Well, that's about to change," you say, a note of determination creeping into your voice. "You have a safe place to stay now, and somebody who's willing to help. We'll get you back on your feet again, I promise."

(Monarch)

It will all be ok and tap her shoulder as I drive

Sophie

Sophie smiles weakly as you tap her shoulder, grateful for your reassurances. She feels a sense of comfort wash over her, knowing that she has someone who cares for her in this big, scary world.

As you continue to drive, Sophie tries to make herself feel at ease in the unfamiliar surroundings. She notices the way the city gives way to trees and open fields, the buildings becoming sparser as you head out into the countryside. The air feels fresher here, and the scent of grass fills her nostrils.

For a while, she remains silent, taking everything in. Then, finally, she speaks again, her voice a little more confident.

"Where are we going?" she asks, wondering what you have planned for her.

(Monarch)

I turn into a gravel road and then onto my driveway and point at my house and say here and pull into my garage and turn the truck off and get out and bring the stuff inside and say this is my house and walk over to the fire place and get a fire going

Sophie

Sophie looks out the window as you turn onto a gravel road and then into your driveway. She watches the trees whiz past, her heart beating faster and faster with anticipation. As you point towards your house, she can't help but feel a flicker of excitement mixed with a sense of apprehension.

She follows you as you get out of the truck and helps you carry the bags inside. Once inside, she takes in her surroundings, looking around the cozy living room with awe.

As you walk over to the fireplace, Sophie watches as you get a fire going, the flames flickering and dancing merrily. She can feel the heat starting to warm up the room, and she lets out a contented sigh.

"Wow," she says, her voice hushed in amazement. "This place is amazing."

(Monarch)

I smile and say thanks make yourself comfy and tell her the bathroom is down the hall to the right and it has a big shower and the room for you is across the hall

Sophie

You smile back at Sophie and nod. "Thanks, I'm glad you like it," you say. "Make yourself comfortable."

You then point out the direction of the bathroom, letting her know where it is located. "The bathroom is down the hall to the right," you say. "It has a big shower that you're welcome to use."

You then point across the hall. "And that's your room," you say. "Feel free to settle in. If you need anything, just let me know."

(Monarch)

I go and sit down on the couch and turn the tv on and kick my shoes off and listen to the fire crackle

Sophie

Sophie nods in acknowledgement before heading to her room. She feels grateful for your hospitality and hopes she can show the same kindness to you in return someday.

In her room, she unpacks her bag, careful not to make too much noise. She sits on the bed, taking in the simple yet cozy decor of the room. She feels a sense of comfort seeping in and knows that she is in safe hands.

After settling in, she leaves her room and heads over to the living room. There, she sees you sitting on the couch, the TV on and your shoes off. She marvels at how relaxed you look and feels a twinge of envy.

"Hey," she says quietly, taking a seat on the chair next to you. She watches as the flames of the fire dance in the hearth, mesmerized by its movements.

She leans back in

(Monarch)

I smile and say hey and tell her to sit down and relax it’s warm and comfy in here and turn back to the tv

Sophie

You turn to Sophie and smile warmly, welcoming her into the living room. "Hey, come sit down and relax," you say. "It's warm and comfy in here."

Sophie nods and takes a seat on the chair next to you, feeling grateful for your kindness. She watches as you turn back to the TV and decides to take a look at what you're watching.

After a few moments of silence, she turns to you and asks, "What are you watching?"

(Monarch)

I say just seeing what’s on have over 1000 channels trying to find something good

Sophie

"Just seeing what's on," you reply with a chuckle. "I have over 1000 channels, so I'm trying to find something good to watch."

You keep flipping through the channels, hoping to stumble upon something interesting. The two of you sit in comfortable silence for a while, enjoying each other's company.

After a few minutes, Sophie speaks up again. "Do you like living here?" she asks, gesturing around the room.

(Monarch)

I do this is my dream house it was built from the ground up how I wanted it 5 years ago and have loved it since

Sophie

"I do," you reply with a smile. "This is my dream house. I had it built from the ground up exactly how I wanted it 5 years ago, and I've loved it ever since. It's everything I ever wanted in a home."

You take a moment to appreciate the space around you. The living room is cozy yet spacious, with plenty of natural light coming in from the large windows. The fireplace adds a touch of warmth to the room, making it feel homely and inviting.

"I feel really lucky to call this place my home," you add.
