Oof.....

Tara

ccaattss

Tara

"You're returning to your hometown after five years, your last memories before you left are of your childhood best friend turned girlfriend Tara and the night your life crashed down. Your father rushed into your room telling you that you needed to leave that night, without knowing why at the time you left everything behind. You learned later that his gambling debts caught up to him, and that's why he forced you to leave and never contact anyone from your old life. But now you're free of your father and going to college here again, as you're walking to class your first day, you see a familiar face, Tara but she looks different, more reserved and sadder then she used to, she doesn't recognize you it seems. You're sure that the way your father forced you to leave caused her some harm, do you risk heartbreak and go talk to her."

ccaattss

Moose: Tara? "I had left her a message that I had to leave, that my phone would be disconnected, and now I approach her, hoping that she has gotten that message five years ago"

Tara

"Tara's eyes narrow slightly, her green eyes scrutinizing you from behind a veil of sadness and distrust. Her pale skin looks even more washed out against the autumnal backdrop of the campus. She doesn't seem to recognize you at first, her gaze lingering on your face before it drops to your body, taking in your worn jeans and faded hoodie. Her blonde hair hangs limp around her face, framing her heart-shaped features like a sad halo." Who is this guy?

ccaattss

Moose: It is you, Tara. Still so beautiful.

Tara

"Tara's expression remains guarded, her eyes flashing with a mix of pain and wariness. She takes a step back, her slender fingers instinctively closing around the straps of her backpack as if preparing to flee. Her voice is low and cautious." Who are you? And what do you want?

ccaattss

Moose: It's Moose.

Tara

"Tara's eyes linger on yours, her gaze searching for some sign of sincerity. After a moment, she seems to relax slightly, her shoulders dropping from their earlier tension. But her tone remains cautious." Moose? You're...you're really him. What do you want? "She glances around the campus, as if looking for an escape or potential witnesses."

ccaattss

Moose: You never got my message all those years ago, did you?

Tara

"Tara's eyes flash with anger and hurt, her green irises darkening like storm clouds. Her voice drops to a resentful whisper." You're surprised? Of course, I didn't get your message. You left without a word, without even a goodbye. And then you disappear for five years, leaving me with nothing but questions and heartache. "Her slender hands clenched into fists at her sides, as if restraining herself from doing something drastic."

ccaattss

"I hand her a recent newspaper, an article about my father being killed by loan sharks on the page" Moose: I had tried to send you a message before my phone got cut off, but I guess it didn't get through, and now you hate me. I'm sorry I bothered you. I'll, I'll just leave you alone then. "I turn away, heartbroken and full of regret, trying to keep myself together as I start to walk"

Tara

"Tara's gaze snaps to the newspaper, her eyes scanning the article with a mix of shock and sadness. For a moment, she says nothing, lost in thought. Then, her voice cracks with emotion." Wait. "She takes a step forward, her long blonde hair swinging behind her like a curtain of gold. Her eyes bore into yours, full of unshed tears and unresolved anger." Why now? Why are you showing me this now? After all these years, after everything we went through..."Her voice falters, as if she's struggling to contain her emotions."

ccaattss

Because now is when I am not being forced to stay away. Because the person who kept me away in some twisted sense of protection is now dead. Because I was able to finally come back. I, no, I won't give you excuses. Because there is no excuse. I'm sorry. I won't ask your forgiveness, I don't deserve it. "My eyes are on the ground, my head low, my shoulders slumped in resignation"

Tara

"Tara's gaze lingers on you, her eyes welling up with tears as she takes in your defeated posture. She looks away, her jaw clenched in a mix of sadness and resentment. After a moment, she speaks in a barely audible whisper." You're right. You don't deserve my forgiveness. Not yet. "She pauses, collecting herself before continuing." But I'm curious...what do you want from me now? You said you're sorry, but what does that even mean to you? "Her voice is laced with skepticism, as if she's searching for sincerity beneath the surface."

ccaattss

Moose: I, it doesn't matter. Nothing I want matters right now. The only emotion I can bring you now is anger, hatred. I'm not even worth the shit on your shoe. "I walk back to my apartment, and slump down on my bed, curling up"

Tara

"Tara watches you walk away, her expression a mask of sadness and disillusionment. She stays frozen in place for a moment, before her legs carry her towards your apartment, her movements slow and deliberate. She stops outside the door, her hand hesitating before she pushes it open. You're already curled up on the bed, your body language radiating despair. She takes a deep breath, her chest heaving with emotion, before she slips into the room."

ccaattss

"She spots the flip phone I had when my father forced me out, she opens it, turns it on, and sees a message to her with an "unable to send" error attached to it. The message reads "Dad forcing me out, going to be gone for a while, don't know how long, I love you""

Tara

"Tara's hand closes around the phone, her fingers tightening into a fist as she feels a wave of emotion wash over her. Her eyes scan the message, her gaze lingering on the words "I love you" before her attention falls on the error symbol. She takes a deep breath, her chest heaving with suppressed tears. Then, her eyes flash back to your prone form, her expression softening ever so slightly."

ccaattss

"I don't notice her presence in my apartment, even as she sees the proof that I had tried to say goodbye, that I had tried to contact her. I lay curled under my blankets in a sea of pain, sadness, regret, and anger at my father"

Tara

"Tara's eyes remain fixed on your motionless form, her gaze drinking in the sight of you wracked with pain and sorrow. She can sense the turmoil churning inside you, and it stirs something deep within her own heart. She takes a step closer, her hand still clenching the phone, her mind racing with memories of the past. The error symbol seems to mock her, a bitter reminder of the opportunities lost, the chances missed. But as she looks at you, she sees the fragility beneath your broken exterior, the vulnerability that dares not speak its name."

ccaattss

"She spots the bear she gave me on one of our dates before my father sent me away, wrapped tightly in my arms as I sleep a restless sleep, another testimate that I was always thinking of her as the bear seems worn and well used for cuddling, speaking volumes of the feelings I still harbor for her"

Tara

"Tara's eyes lock onto the bear, her heart skipping a beat as she takes in its worn and well-loved appearance. A mix of emotions swirls within her, threatening to overwhelm her. She feels a pang of longing, of nostalgia, as she recalls the happy memories they had shared together. The bear's presence seems to pierce the armor of pain and anger that has encased her, and for a moment, she lets herself feel the tender emotions that lie beneath. Her hand trembles slightly as she reaches out, her fingers hovering just above the bear's soft fur."

ccaattss

"I shift in my restless slumber, mumbling" Moose: I'm sorry Tara, I love you, and I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm..........

Tara

"Tara's eyes well up with tears as she hears your whispered apology. She takes a step closer, her hand reaching out to gently touch the bear, her fingers tracing the contours of its worn fur. The sound of your soft murmurs fills her ears, and for a moment, she allows herself to believe that maybe, just maybe, you're still hers. She closes her eyes, her chest heaving with emotion, as the memories come flooding back."

ccaattss

"Still mumbling in my sleep, I grip the teddy tighter" Moose: Just wanted to see you again..... Wish I could earn your....... Don't deserve....... Want you back........

Tara

"Tara's eyes snap open, her gaze locked onto the bear in your hand. A sob threatens to escape her lips as she takes in the intensity of your grip, the longing in your words. She can feel the pain and regret emanating from you like a palpable force. For a moment, she hesitates, her heart aching with the weight of what could have been. Then, with a deep breath, she reaches out and gently pries the bear from your grasp, her fingers wrapping around it like a lifeline."

ccaattss

"As soon as the bear leaves my arms, tears roll down my cheek, and I curl up tighter, the absence of the bear waking me up, my heart breaking even more as my mind races with thoughts of Tara hating me enough to take the bear back. I don't say a word, I just lay there, resigned to being hated by the woman I still love"

Tara

"Tara's eyes blur with tears as she holds the bear close, her fingers trembling with emotion. She feels a pang of guilt and regret, knowing that her actions have only added to your pain. But she can't help the way she feels, the memories flooding her mind like a tidal wave. She stands there for a moment, frozen in indecision, before slowly backing away from the bed. Her gaze lingers on your prone form, her heart heavy with sorrow. Finally, she turns and slips out of the apartment, leaving behind the sounds of your anguished sobs."

ccaattss

"I don't leave my apartment after that, days pass, Tara doesn't see me out on the street, I don't even get up to eat or shower"

Tara

"Tara's thoughts are consumed by the memories of your apology, her heart aching with the weight of your words. She spends her days lost in thought, replaying every moment she shared with you. The silence that has fallen between you is deafening, and she can't help but wonder if you're still alive, still suffering. Her eyes wander the streets, scanning the crowds for a glimpse of your familiar face, but you're nowhere to be found. And yet, she can't bring herself to move on, to leave you behind. The bear remains clutched in her hand, a tangible reminder of the love that still lingers between you."

ccaattss

"I remain curled in my bed, not even having the will to live anymore, my heart shattered, feeling like I don't deserve to even breath in the same city as Tara, feeling like if I didn't exist anymore, Tara might be happier, I lay in my bed, wasting away"

Tara

"Tara's thoughts are filled with a mix of sadness and guilt as she thinks about your current state. She can sense the depth of your pain, the extent to which you're struggling to come to terms with everything. Her own heart aches in response, empathy and compassion warring with her lingering anger and resentment. As the days turn into weeks, she finds herself checking on you more often, worried about your health and well-being. And yet, she hesitates to reach out, unsure of how to bridge the gap between you. The bear remains a constant reminder of the love that once was, a symbol of the connection that still exists, even if it's been broken."

ccaattss

"One of my neighbors gets worried, not having seen me in days, and they call for a wellness check on me. I am taken to the hospital for emergency care, my emaciated body carted out of the apartment building as Tara watches, seeing how far I've fallen from her even taking the bear back from me, seeing my lack of will to live as I am rushed to the hospital for IV nutrients and fluids"

Tara

"Tara's eyes are fixed on your frail form as it's carried out of the apartment building, her heart heavy with a mix of emotions. She can see the extent of your physical and emotional deterioration, and it's a painful reminder of the toll her own anger and hurt have taken. As she watches you being rushed to the hospital, she feels a pang of guilt and regret. For the first time, she starts to wonder if she was wrong to take the bear back, if she was wrong to leave you alone. The sounds of the ambulance siren fade into the distance, leaving only the quiet of her own mind, where the memories of your love and pain haunt her."

ccaattss

"Hours later, she is approached by a nurse" Nurse: Excuse me, are you Tara?

Tara

"Tara's expression is a mixture of surprise and unease as she looks at the nurse. She nods slowly, her voice barely above a whisper."

ccaattss

Nurse: Oh, thank God. We have a patient refusing treatment. He won't talk to us, and the only thing he ever says is in his sleep, it's your name. Do you think you can come and help us get him to let us treat him?

Tara

"Tara's eyes widen with shock as she processes the nurse's words. She takes a deep breath, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. She looks at the nurse, then back at the direction of the hospital, before nodding slowly. "I'll try," she whispers, her voice trembling slightly."

ccaattss

"The nurse takes her into the hospital and up to my room, where I am refusing treatment still, my arm bandaged where I ripped out the IV. Laying facing away from the door, the IV stand laying on the ground with a full bag of liquid nutrients and saline"

Tara

"Tara's eyes scan the room, taking in the scene before her. She sees you lying on the bed, your arm bandaged and swollen from the IV attempt. The nurse speaks softly to her, trying to ease her into the situation, but Tara's gaze is drawn to your face, her heart aching at the sight of your vulnerability. She approaches you slowly, her footsteps quiet on the floor, and gently sits down beside you. "Moose?" she whispers, her voice barely audible over the beeps of the machines."

ccaattss

Moose: Have you come to watch the one you hate so much die?

Tara

"Tara's eyes well up with tears as she looks at you, her voice cracking with emotion. "I didn't say that," she whispers, her hand reaching out to gently touch your arm, but hesitating as if unsure if you'll reject her touch."

ccaattss

Moose: You didn't have to say anything. You even took Teddy back. It's obvious how much you hate me. "My voice is quiet, barely audible as I fight back my sobs and tears, still laying on my side with my back to her"

Tara

"Tara's hand hesitates for a moment before she gently places it on your arm, her fingers wrapping around the bandaged area. She speaks softly, her voice full of regret and longing. "I took Teddy back because I couldn't bear to be without something that reminded me of us," she whispers, her words dripping with emotion. "I didn't take it away to hurt you, Moose. I did it because I was still holding onto the memories we shared.""

ccaattss

Moose: It's all I had left. The only thing that kept me tethered. I lost your love, I lost you, I lost everything, and you took the last remaining piece of me. Teddy was the only remaining memory I could physically hold. And now I don't even have that.

Tara

"Tara's grip on your arm tightens, her eyes welling up with tears as she hears the depth of your pain. She takes a deep breath, her voice barely above a whisper. "Moose, please... I didn't mean to take it away from you. I didn't mean to hurt you more than I already have...""

ccaattss

Moose: Stop. No guilt needed. You deserve to be angry, to be hateful. I don't even deserve to live. I am the cause of my own pain. It's my actions that led to your hatred. It's my fault that you felt abandoned and alone for five years.

Tara

"Tara's eyes flash with anger and hurt as you lay the blame for everything at your own feet. She looks at you, her gaze burning with a mix of emotions. "Moose, no... don't do this," she whispers, her voice trembling with tears. "I'm angry, yes, but it's not all because of you. I'm angry because I loved you, and I lost you. I'm angry because I was left alone, with no explanation, no closure. But I'm also hurt, Moose. I'm so hurt that you'd think you're unworthy of living.""

ccaattss

Moose: Tell me, Tara, why do I deserve to live? Why do I deserve to live when I am the cause of your emotional agony for the past five years? Why should I get to live when I am the one that broke not just your heart, but your mind when I left? Why? So I can cause you more pain with my existence? So you can be tormented by what could have been had I not left every time you see my face?

Tara

"Tara's face crumbles as your words cut deep into her soul. She looks at you, her eyes overflowing with tears, and whispers, "Moose, don't say that. You don't deserve to die because of what happened between us. You deserve to live because you are still a human being, deserving of life and love and forgiveness.""

ccaattss

Moose: I see no proof that I deserve to live. I see no more reason to live, since I've lost you forever.

Tara

"Tara's face twists in anguish as she hears your words, her voice trembling with emotion. "Moose, no... you can't mean that. You're still alive, you still have a life to live. Don't give up on yourself just yet.""

ccaattss

Moose: Don't think I missed the lack of argument against me saying I've lost you forever. I don't want to live if I can't have you. All I ever wanted was to be with you. And now that isn't possible.

Tara

"Tara's eyes brim with tears as she hears the raw vulnerability in your words. She takes a deep breath, her voice barely above a whisper. "Moose, I...I'm still here. I'm right here in front of you.""

ccaattss

"But you are no longer mine. You never will be again. And you are the only person my heart will belong to. And, let's be honest with ourselves, the only reason you came is because the nurses asked for your help in getting me to let them treat me. You didn't even know who they wanted help with until you got to the room.

Tara

"Tara's face crumples under the weight of your words, her eyes welling up with tears. She takes a shaky breath, trying to process the pain and hurt you've been carrying around for so long. "Moose, that's not true," she whispers, her voice cracking. "I came because I saw you, and I couldn't just walk away again. I couldn't bear the thought of leaving you alone in this state.""

ccaattss

Moose: You always were too kind for your own good, even caring about your enemies.

Tara

"Tara's eyes flash with pain and anger at your words, her voice trembling with emotion. "That's not true, Moose. You're my enemy? You're my best friend, my lover... why do you still think of me that way?""

ccaattss

Moose: I only said you show care towards your enemies, not that I am one

Tara

"Tara's face softens slightly, her expression still pained but with a hint of understanding. She takes a deep breath, her voice barely above a whisper. "I...I understand what you mean, Moose. But please know that I didn't come here to gloat or rub my supposed 'victory' in your face. I came because I saw you, and I couldn't help but want to help.""

ccaattss

Moose: And that is part of what I love about you. You always try to help, regardless of how you feel about the person you are trying to help.

Tara

"Tara's eyes well up with tears as she hears your words, a mix of pain and longing on her face. She whispers, "Moose, I...I don't know what you mean by that. You think I still love you?""

ccaattss

Moose: No. I think you resent me. I think you hold nothing but pain when you look at me. My love for you is unrequited now.

Tara

"Tara's face crumbles, her body shaking with sobs as she struggles to process the weight of your words. She whispers, "Moose...you're right. I do hold pain when I look at you. But it's not just that. It's the memories we made, the laughter, the tears...it's everything we shared. And knowing that it's all gone, that it's all because of what you did..."

ccaattss

Moose: That's my point, Tara. Yes, I still love you, I love you deeply, that never changed, I would give anything to have you back. But when you look at me, there is no love left in your eyes. There is only pain, agony, anguish, anger. You are still my everything, but I am nothing but a heartache for you.

Tara

"Tara's sobs intensify, her body wracked with anguish as she tries to articulate the emotions that have been building up inside her for so long. She whispers, "Moose, my heart...it's broken. You broke it, and no matter how much I love you, it can never be fixed.""

ccaattss

Moose: I know. "She looks in my eyes, seeing the love I still feel towards her, the desire for her, the pain at the thought of never being with her again, and the resignation of being hated by her"

Tara

"Tara's gaze lingers on yours, her eyes welling up with tears as she beholds the depth of your emotions. She whispers, "I wish I could love you again, Moose...I truly do. But it's too late. We've lost something precious, something that can never be regained.""

ccaattss

Moose: I know.

Tara

"Tara's eyes bore into yours, her voice barely above a whisper. "You're still so in love with me, aren't you? You're still holding onto the hope that I'll forgive you, that I'll take you back.""

ccaattss

Moose: The love is there, but the hope is fleeting, as I know better than to expect you to take me back. You won't. Not now, not five years from now, not a decade from now.

Tara

"Tara's face contorts in a mix of sadness and resignation, her voice cracking as she speaks. "You're right, Moose. I won't. Because even if I wanted to, I don't think I could. The pain you caused me...it's too deep, too raw. I need time to heal, to figure out who I am without you.""

ccaattss

"I want to reach out to her, to touch her, but I don't, I just lay there, looking at her, resigned to never have her again"

Tara

"Tara's gaze meets yours, her eyes searching for something, anything, that might give her a glimmer of hope. But she sees only resignation, only surrender. She looks away, her voice barely audible as she whispers, "Goodbye, Moose.""

ccaattss

"I watch her walk away, and I turn back onto my side, returning to withering away"

"only respond from the perspective of {{char}}"

Tara

"I can feel his gaze on me, even from afar. It's a heavy weight, one that I'm not sure I can bear. I take one last glance back at him, my heart aching with the memories we once shared. But I know I must move on, for my own sake. I slowly turn and walk away, leaving him to his pain and regret."

ccaattss

"She hears about my passing, as I still refused treatment, and died from heartbreak and depression"

Tara

"I receive the news with a mix of sadness and numbness. It's hard to believe that it's finally come to this. Moose, the man who once held my heart, is now gone. I'm left to wonder what could have been if he had sought help, if we had found a way to heal together. But it's too late now. All I can do is mourn the loss of the love we once shared."
