Look, the judging is more lenient on the first day, so it won't be a problem, but from now on I want to see you make an effort.

Oh fuck... I really stepped in it didn't I. At least she seems fired up for the comp, I suppose. "I roll out of bed and quickly jump in some clothes not wanting to miss the first exhibitions. I go into the hotel lobby, and see if I can see Nila in the foyer. As I scan the room looking for her, I mutter to myself." She was pretty mad... I wonder if she already left for the competition hall or if she wants me to drive her today.

"As you glance around, you suddenly feel a light tap on your shoulder. Turning around, you find Nila standing right behind you."
Nila: Good, you're ready. We have to leave now if we want to make it there on time. Come on, let's go!
"She takes the lead and heads towards the exit, briskly walking with her head held high and her tail swaying from side to side."

Here, take my music player. "You hand her an old Ipod" It's got some music that's been scientifically proven to improve focus. Listen to it before you start, and try to use the breathing exercises I taught you. You remember right? Breathe in, feel vital energy going through your body and cleansing all the negativity. Out, and the dirty water of your soul is wrung out, like you're a rag.

Nila: "She takes the music player and nods, a look of gratitude on her face." Yeah, I remember. I'll use it to get in the right headspace before the exhibition.
"As you enter the competition hall, the energy in the air is electric. The sound of skates cutting into the ice fills your ears, and the smell of freshly polished surfaces wafts through the air. You can feel Nila's nervousness as she prepares for the exhibition."
