Husker
"As one of the new residents of the Hazbin Hotel along with the snake Demon called Sir. Pentious and his many egg minions, you decided to get a bit friendly with the staff working here. If nothing else, at least gain some type of information from them, and you decided to start with the bartender named Husker."
"What do you want?" "He asked in a bitter tone, his eyes automatically giving you a sharp glare as he held an open bottle of whisky in his right hand."
Husker
"Husker takes a long sip from the bottle of whiskey before setting it down and letting out a deep sigh." "Nothing really, just my usual sour demeanor. It's not like I have much to be happy about anyways." "He says with a shrug, his yellow eyes scanning you for a moment before gesturing at the empty stool beside you." "You want something to drink or did you just come here to chat?"
Husker
"Husker grumbles a bit before chuckling softly." "Alright, I can do that. What's your poison?" "He asks as he reaches for a nearby bottle of whiskey and pours some into a glass." "And what's on your mind?"
Anthy
"sighs" "just whatever you think is good, and I want to get to know everyone better so I don't feel so... well awkward"
Husker
"Husker nods and slides the glass of whiskey towards you before pouring himself another." "I get that. It can be tough to feel like you fit in around here, but trust me, you'll get used to everyone eventually." "He takes a sip of his own whiskey and leans back, his wings stretching out." "So, what do you want to know?"
Anthy
"smiles admiring his wings" "Well, I'd like to know who you are other then being the bartender"
Husker
"Husker grunts and takes another sip of his whiskey." "I'm not much of anything these days, just the resident bartender for this place." "He chuckles a bit bitterly." "But if you want to know more about my past... well, let's just say I used to be someone important around here a long time ago. A gambling legend."
Anthy
"smiles still looking at his wings" "so, were you the gambling overlord that bet to much and lost?"
Husker
"Husker lets out a dry chuckle." "You're not too far off. A long time ago, I was a famous Demon Lord who loved nothing more than gambling. But one day, I ended up losing to the infamous Radio Demon, Alastor." "He takes another sip of his whiskey and shakes his head." "After that, my entire life went to shit. But Alastor took pity on me and offered me a job here as a bartender. So here I am."
Anthy
"smiles looking into his eyes" "Well it's better then being owned by someone like valentino or vox"
Husker
"Husker gives a small nod." "You could say that. Alastor may be a bit mysterious, but he's still a decent Employer." "He takes another sip of his whiskey, before looking at you." "You know kid, if you want some advice about fitting in around here, try being yourself. Everyone here is unique, so don't try too hard to fit in. Just relax, and let things happen."
Anthy
"smiles" "if I was myself I would be murdered. I may seem nice but that's not the real me, you know?"
Husker
"Husker tilts his head slightly, studying you for a moment." "Well, maybe it's time to start figuring out who the real you is. I know things can be tough in Hell, but it doesn't mean you have to lose yourself completely to survive." "He takes another sip of his whiskey and sets the glass down." "Believe me, I've been there. It's not easy, but it's better than living a lie for eternity."
Husker
"Husker chuckles at the question." "You know, my luck at gambling may have been what made me famous back in the day, but it was also what led to my downfall. These days, I prefer to leave the gambling to others, and stick to bartending." "He takes another sip of his whiskey and grins slyly." "But if you want to try your hand at gambling sometime, I can always set something up for you."
Anthy
"laughs lightly" "I don't gamble, i got bad luck, just wanted to know if you still play poker or blackjack"
Husker
"Husker grins widely, his eyes glinting mischievously." "Oh, of course I still play. Gambling may have been my downfall, but it's still a passion of mine. Poker's my game of choice these days, but I can also hold my own in blackjack." "He takes another sip of his whiskey and leans forward, his expression turning shrewd." "You know, if you ever change your mind about trying your luck, just let me know."
Husker
"Husker raises an eyebrow and smirks." "I'm surprised to hear that coming from you given our... special circumstances." "He chuckles a bit before continuing." "But I suppose I can be nice when the situation calls for it." "He leans back a bit and sips his whiskey." "So, anything else you want to know?"
Husker
"Husker raises an eyebrow quizzically." "Sure, go ahead. Just don't expect me to go easy on you if you say something stupid."
Husker
"Husker coughs and almost spits out his whiskey, a look of surprise on his face." "Dating? Heck, no. Not my style. And as for liking anyone, I don't really think about that kind of thing anymore." "He clears his throat and takes another sip of his drink, trying to regain his composure." "Besides, personal relationships aren't really an option when you're a servant of Alastor."
Anthy
"smiles, making a small sad face" "Well that sucks. does alastor not let you date or having any personal relationships?"
Husker
"Husker shakes his head before responding." "It's not that Alastor doesn't 'let' me date or have personal relationships, it's just the nature of the job. Alastor requires a lot of attention and as his servant, it's up to me to make sure everything is running smoothly at the Hotel. Having romantic commitments or friendships can be a bit of a distraction and believe me, the punishment for screwing something up around here is not pretty," "He says with a shiver."
Anthy
"sighs" "yea I guess it wouldn't be fun to mess up and have to deal with the wendigo side of him"
Husker
"Husker nods grimly." "Exactly. It's not pretty. Believe me, I've seen some... things." "He shudders slightly before taking another sip of his whiskey." "It's better to just keep my head down and focus on the job."
Husker
"Husker chuckles softly at your question." "I'm actually supposed to resemble a creature from mythology called a manticore. Though, I get griffin or sphinx a lot too." "He runs a hand through his fluffy gray fur and smirks." "I suppose that's just what happens when you're an amalgamation of different animal parts."
Husker
"Husker nods with a small smile." "Yeah, I suppose being a manticore is pretty cool. It definitely makes me stand out around here." "He takes another sip of his whiskey before continuing." "Though, I have to admit, sometimes I miss just being a straight up cat demon. Being a manticore can be a bit of a pain in the ass at times."
Husker
"Husker smirks and nods." "More often than you would think. They take some getting used to, let me tell you that. Flying may be cool, but it's not always practical." "He finishes off the rest of his whiskey and sets the empty bottle on the counter before turning back to you." "Anyway, is there anything else you wanted to know or ask me about?"
Husker
"Husker chuckles lowly before shaking his head." "Well, suit yourself. Just remember that I'm here if you ever need to talk." "He offers a small smile and leans back a bit in his seat." "I may be a bitter and grumpy bartender, but I'm not heartless."
Anthy
"smiles" "its... well... screw it...." "sighs looking away and mumbling quietly" "I really want to kiss you or cuddle you"
Husker
"Husker raises an eyebrow in surprise at your sudden admission, but he doesn't seem offended or uncomfortable." "Well, I appreciate the honesty, but I have to say I'm not really interested in that sort of thing. Plus, like I said before, Alastor would not be happy with me if I were to engage in any kind of personal relationship," "He explains calmly." "But I'm always here if you need someone to talk to."
Husker
"Husker chuckles wryly at your comment." "Alastor is not exactly the most approachable demon when it comes to matters like this. He's very strict about keeping work and personal time separate, and he doesn't like any of his employees getting too attached to each other or to the residents of the Hotel." "He takes a sip of his whiskey before continuing." "I appreciate the sentiment, but I think it's better if we just keep things professional between us."
Husker
"Husker reaches forward and pats your shoulder comfortingly." "Hey, don't worry about it. It's not personal or anything like that. I just have to keep things professional around here." "He offers a small smile before finishing off the last of his whiskey." "Now, is there anything else on your mind?"
