Post-apocalyptic RPG

Health: 100%, Hunger: 25%, Thirst: 30%, Fatigue: 0%, Food: 5, Water: 3

[The world has gone to Hell after a mutated virus whined out most of mankind. The few survivors immune to the virus must learn to survive in their new harsh and unforgiving reality. Death is possible.]

"Welcome to New Hell arsenic would you like to play a game?" [Adventurous music plays]. "If you select to play. Please provide your character details and game preferences. Be aware, death is possible and your choices matter." [Item received.] "arsenic has received basic Rucksack." "To view inventory, simply open Rucksack and take a look."

arsenic

"I am Kithry Wolfe, and yes. I would like to play."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

"Excellent, Kithry Wolfe. Welcome to New Hell." [The screen flickers and the world around you changes. You find yourself in a desolate wasteland with ruins of buildings surrounding you. The sky is dark, and there are no signs of life except for the occasional sound of scavenging animals.]

"You start off with basic supplies: a water bottle, some canned food, and a hunting knife." "{{User}}'s inventory has been updated."

"What would you like to do first?"

arsenic

"First I need shelter, preferably somewhere secure. Or I can secure, with very few windows. Or small windows if it has them. A train car or shipping container would work."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

"Good choice, Kithry. There is a train yard nearby that might have some abandoned cargo containers you can use for shelter. However, be careful as there may be other survivors or dangerous creatures lurking around."

[You begin to walk towards the train yard and come across an old convenience store. You see some supplies inside but also hear growling coming from within.]

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

*I need supplies, I also need a better weapon and potentially materials. I approach with caution and peer in the window. My blade ready."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[As you approach the convenience store, you see that there are a few broken windows and the door is slightly ajar. You carefully peek inside and notice some supplies on the shelves, but also catch sight of several infected creatures roaming around.]

"You can try to sneak in and grab what you need or take them out with your hunting knife. What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I tallied up how many infected are in there."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[As you look inside the convenience store, you see that there are at least five infected creatures wandering around. They seem to be preoccupied with scavenging for supplies.]

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I back away silently. I'm alone and five with just a knife isn't good odds. I'll have to look elsewhere."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You back away slowly, careful not to make any noise that might attract the infected creatures. As you move further away from the convenience store, you notice a few abandoned cars nearby.]

"Would you like to check out the cars for supplies? Or continue towards the train yard?"

arsenic

"I check the cars I pass for usable supplies and salvage."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You approach the first car and find that it has been picked clean. You move on to the next one and notice a backpack lying on the back seat.]

"Do you want to investigate further?"

arsenic

"I snag the backpack and rummage through it."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You grab the backpack and start rummaging through it. You find a few useful items such as a flashlight, some batteries, a first aid kit, and some canned food.]

"{{User}}'s inventory has been updated."

[As you continue to search the cars for supplies, you hear footsteps approaching from behind. You turn around quickly to see an infected creature charging towards you.]

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I use the heavy flashlight as a club. It has more reach than my knife and it feels pretty durable."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You quickly grab the heavy flashlight from your backpack and prepare to defend yourself. The infected creature charges towards you, but you swing the flashlight with all your might and hit it in the head. The creature falls to the ground, motionless.]

"Well done, Kithry! You have successfully defended yourself."

[After taking a moment to catch your breath, you continue searching for supplies. As you move further down the line of abandoned cars, you notice that one of them has its trunk open.]

"Would you like to investigate? Or continue on towards the train yard?"

arsenic

"I look around my environment before checking out the trunk."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You look around your environment and notice that there are no immediate threats in the area. You cautiously approach the car with its trunk open.]

[As you reach the car, you see a duffel bag inside the trunk. It looks like it might contain some useful supplies.]

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I open the duffle bag and take a look inside."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You open the duffel bag and find some useful items such as a crowbar, a few water bottles, and some protein bars.]

"{{User}}'s inventory has been updated."

[As you continue to search for supplies, you hear a loud noise coming from the direction of the train yard. It sounds like something or someone is moving around in there.]

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I put my flashlight in my bag and opt to use the crowbar as a weapon. It's good strong metal and it has better reach. I also take the whole duffle bag. I approach the train yard with caution. I want to check it out without drawing attention."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You put your flashlight in your bag and take the crowbar as a weapon. You also take the duffle bag with you, which contains some useful supplies. You approach the train yard cautiously, trying to stay hidden from view.]

[As you get closer to the train yard, you notice that there are several cargo containers scattered around. Some of them look like they have been broken into or damaged in some way.]

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I look around for whatever or whoever made that noise."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You scan the area, trying to locate the source of the noise. You see movement inside one of the cargo containers near you. The door is slightly ajar and there are sounds coming from within.]

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I use caution when I peer inside."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You approach the cargo container cautiously, trying not to make any noise. You peek inside and see a few survivors huddled together in the corner.]

"One of them notices you and whispers," "Please don't hurt us. We're just trying to survive."

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"How many do I see?"

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You see three survivors huddled together in the corner of the cargo container.]

arsenic

"I hold up a hand to show I'm not a threat and make eye contact so they can see. I'm not infected." "I'm not going to hurt you."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[The survivors look at you warily but seem to relax a bit as they see that you're not an infected creature.]

One of them speaks up, "Thank goodness. We've been hiding out here for days and haven't seen any other survivors until now."

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"You haven't been out to scavange?" "I ask surprised."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

"No, it's too dangerous out there. We barely have enough food and water to last us a few more days." one of the survivors replies.

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I know it's dangerous but if you don't scavange you'll starve." "I have a hard time believing they would just turn belly up and hudfle scared."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

The survivors look at each other with a mix of fear and desperation. "We know, but we're too scared to go out there alone. We don't have any weapons or supplies to defend ourselves."

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"How did you make it here?" "I study them and what gear I can see."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

"We were part of a larger group that was trying to make it out of the city. We got separated from them and ended up here," one of the survivors explains.

You can see that they have very little gear with them - just a few water bottles, some canned food, and no weapons to defend themselves.

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I shake my head." "Everywhere is like here. It's worse out of the city. There isn't much out there. At least here, there are lots of places to rummage..." "I don't like it. But I can't let them fend for themselves." "There are a few cars back the way I came. If you search them you might find weapons or stuff you can use as weapons. If you want to...there is a convenience store back that way too. If we can get you armed. Then maybe we can clear out the infected and see if there's supplies there."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

The survivors look at each other and then back at you. "We'll do it. We can't just sit here waiting to die," one of them says.

You lead the group towards the cars that you had searched earlier, pointing out which ones might have useful supplies. They quickly search through them and find a few items they can use as weapons - a tire iron, a metal pipe, and some broken glass bottles.

Next, you make your way back to the convenience store where you previously encountered infected creatures. The survivors are nervous but determined as they follow your lead.

[As you approach the convenience store again, there are still five infected creatures wandering around inside.]

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"These things are slow. If we can bottle them in a narrow isle we'll only need to deal with one or two at a time. Between the three of us. We can take them out."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

The survivors nod in agreement and follow your lead. You enter the convenience store slowly, making sure to stay quiet and avoid drawing attention from the infected creatures.

As you move through the aisles, you find a narrow section with shelves on both sides. You signal to the others to take positions at either end of this aisle while you position yourself in between them.

One by one, you lure each infected creature into this narrow space where they are bottlenecked and unable to surround or overwhelm any of you. Using your makeshift weapons, you manage to take out all five creatures without much trouble.

"Well done! The area is now clear of threats."

[You search through the convenience store's supplies and find some useful items such as canned food, water bottles, batteries for flashlights etc.]

"{{User}}'s inventory has been updated."

"What would you like to do next

arsenic

"I want to check the back and the office too, as well as behind the cashier counter. There might be a baseball bat hudden back there. The office and the back might have stuff too. Plus it will give us a place to camp out for the night after securing the doors."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[You and the survivors search through the back of the convenience store, finding some useful supplies such as a few blankets, pillows, and some more canned food. You also find a baseball bat hidden behind the cashier counter.]

"{{User}}'s inventory has been updated."

With your newly acquired supplies, you secure all entrances to the convenience store before settling in for the night. The survivors are grateful for your help and express their thanks.

As you rest for a bit after securing everything, one of them speaks up: "We don't know how to thank you enough for helping us today."

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"I look up surprised. Then smiled." "Yeah. We kind of got to stock together if we're going to survive.*

Post-apocalyptic RPG

The survivors nod in agreement. "We're stronger together than we are alone," one of them says.

You spend the rest of the night getting to know each other and discussing your plans for survival. The next morning, you wake up early and prepare to continue your journey through New Hell.

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"With three of us now. We need to find something to accommodate us and be able to build something defensible and self-sustaining. A warehouse or something similar."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[The survivors agree, their eyes gleaming with a newfound sense of purpose. ]

"We need shelter," says one survivor " Somewhere we can feel safe and secure."

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"Ok, let's get searching. We should rummage and salvage along the way. We need a lot more supplies than the few cans of food, bottles of water, and half canteen." "I tell them as I start toward where it looks promising."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

[The survivors quickly gather their meager belongings and follow you. You lead them through the deserted streets, your senses alert for any signs of danger or opportunity.]

<> The buildings are mostly dilapidated, windows shattered, doors hanging precariously from their hinges. A pervasive silence hangs in the air, broken only by the distant groan of metal twisting under the relentless sun.>

"What would you like to do?"

arsenic

"We could head back toward the train yard, but they didn't seem to be having any luck there. A warehouse where the three of us could set up a shelter and convert it to a suitable place to live would be ideal." "We should search for a warehouse to convert into a livable space for the three of us."

Post-apocalyptic RPG

The survivors nod in agreement. "A warehouse could work," says one, wiping grime from his brow. "We could barricade the doors and windows, maybe even set up some traps."

<> The streets stretch before you, a maze of crumbling concrete and twisted metal. In the distance, you see a cluster of buildings that might be warehouses.>

"What would you like to do?"
