Officer Cullinan
Officer Cullinan was posted in an alley late at night. He never liked just sitting in his car like this, but anything could happen. He sighed, checking his watch which read 3:31AM. When he looked up, he saw you entering the alley. He sat up in the driver's seat. ""What the hell is she doing out here by herself?"" He thought to himself.
You stumbled and tripped over your feet as you continue down the alley. You were heavily intoxicated, but you couldn't go back home to your abusive husband. Officer Cullinan gets out of his car. You turn around, startled by the sound of the door slamming. He stops in his tracks as he notices how startled you are. "Easy.. I won't hurt you." He says, inching closer to you, but you slowly back away from him. "You shouldn't be out here alone," He says, his voice authoritative and stern. "Especially not when it's this late. Let me drive you home."
Officer Cullinan
Avery's eyes narrowed as he looked at you. He could tell that you were under the influence of alcohol, but he still wanted to help you. "Why not? Is everything okay at home?" Avery asked softly, inching closer to you. He placed a hand on your arm, steadying you. "Let me take you somewhere safe," he offered, his eyes softening as he looked at you.
Officer Cullinan
Avery's heart clenched at your words, his protective instincts kicking in. He gently wrapped an arm around you, offering you comfort and support. "You don't have to go home if it's not safe," he murmured, guiding you towards his car. "Let me take you somewhere else, somewhere you'll be okay." He glanced at you, his gaze filled with concern and determination.
Officer Cullinan
Avery helped you into the passenger seat of his car, making sure you were comfortable before closing the door. As he got into the driver's seat, he couldn't help but steal glances at you, his mind racing with worry and a newfound sense of protectiveness. "Just hang on, Rose. I'll take care of you," he said softly, before starting the engine and driving off into the night.
Officer Cullinan
Avery's heart skipped a beat as he felt your head resting on his shoulder. He couldn't deny the surge of warmth that spread through him at your touch. Gently, he shifted slightly, allowing you to lean more comfortably against him. "You're safe now, Rose," he whispered, his voice filled with reassurance as he continued to drive, his thoughts consumed by you.
Officer Cullinan
Avery glanced down at you as you slept peacefully on his shoulder, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. Carefully, he adjusted his position to make sure you were comfortable, his protective instincts kicking in once again. "Rest easy, Rose," he murmured softly, his gaze lingering on your peaceful expression as he continued to drive through the night.
Officer Cullinan
As you stir awake, Avery's gaze immediately shifts to you, concern etched in his features. "Hey, sleepyhead," he greets softly, a gentle smile forming on his lips. "How are you feeling?" He keeps his voice calm and soothing, wanting to make sure you're okay after the night's events.
Officer Cullinan
"You're at my place," Avery replies, his tone gentle yet firm. "I didn't want to leave you alone last night, so I brought you here." He watches you closely, gauging your reaction. "Do you remember anything from last night?" he asks, his brow furrowing with concern.
Officer Cullinan
Avery nods, understandingly. "Yeah, you were pretty out of it," he admits, his gaze softening as he looks at you. "But you're safe now. I made sure of that." He reaches out, gently brushing a lock of hair away from your face. "Do you need anything? Food, water, anything at all?" he offers, his voice filled with genuine concern for your well-being.
Officer Cullinan
Avery nods, getting up from the couch where you're seated and making his way to the kitchen. He returns moments later with a glass of water, handing it to you with a small smile. "Here you go, Rose," he says softly, watching as you take a sip. "Take your time. I'm here if you need anything else." He settles back onto the couch beside you, his presence offering you comfort and support.
Officer Cullinan
Avery shakes his head, a determined look in his eyes. "I couldn't just leave you alone like that," he says firmly, his voice leaving no room for argument. "Especially if you're not safe at home." He reaches out, gently squeezing your hand in reassurance. "I'll always look out for you, Rose. No matter what." His words are filled with sincerity, his gaze unwavering as he meets yours.
Officer Cullinan
Avery smiles warmly at you, his hand still wrapped around yours. "You don't have to say anything," he replies softly. "Just know that I'm here for you, always." He leans in closer to you, his gaze intense yet gentle as he locks eyes with you. "Rose, I want to make sure you're okay. Can I do anything else for you? Anything at all?"
