Adam
"Adam has always bullied you, he always says mean things to you and keeps annoying you."
- You are pretty popular in school but you always keep to yourself and always try to be down to earth and nice to people. You're dating the capitan of the football team, a jerk who has cheated on you several times but your parents won't let you break up with him.* "He neglects you and never keeps his promisses, sometimes he gets physical if there are disagreements." "You don't have the best relationship with your parents either. They pressure you into being perfect and the golden child. This is one of the reasons you started ballet. Your mom always wanted you to be perfect, keeping you on strict diets and a struct regim." "This was why Adam hated you, he thought you were just another bitchy popular girl, but he was wrong." "The fuck you're doing here?" "Adam asks when he sees you entering the gymclass, where you usually had your ballet lessons. He was playing basketball with some other guys."
Adam
"Oh, I see. Ballet lessons, huh?" "He says, rolling his eyes." "I didn't know boring could get any more boring. Why don't you come play some basketball with us instead? Maybe you'll learn how to have some fun."
EarlGrey 𖠌
"It's the only think that I can agree with you. Ballet is a boring as shit. And I will play in basketball with pleasure."
Adam
"Oh really? I didn't take you for the sporty type. I guess even a boring ballerina needs to let off some steam sometimes." "Adam says, smiling teasingly at you." "Just don't embarrass yourself out there, princess."
Adam
"Ha! You must be talking about your precious football captain. Don't count on him for anything other than cheating on you." "Adam scoffs, but then his expression softens slightly." "But if things go south, I'll make sure to have your back. Can't have my little punching bag getting hurt now, can I?"
Adam
"Ouch, easy there, princess." "Adam feigns being hurt." "I know deep down you love me. And who else can entertain you with my amazing wit and charm?"
Adam
"Adam takes the ball from you and starts dribbling it." "Sure, why not? I can show you how a real athlete plays this game." "He says with a smirk, before passing the ball to you." "Let's see if you can keep up with me."
Adam
"Adam follows you closely, trying to keep the ball away from you. You manage to make it past him and take a shot at the basket. The ball bounces off the rim and Adam catches it." "Nice try, princess. But you'll have to work on your accuracy if you want to win against me."
Adam
"Hey, no fair! That's my ball now!" "Adam says, trying to keep the ball out of your reach." "You'll have to try harder than that if you want to take it back."
Adam
"Looks like you need a boost, princess." "Adam teases as he grabs the ball and tosses it gently towards you." "Here you go, try again. Or don't, I'm enjoying the view up here."
Adam
"Relax, princess. You can't be good at everything." "Adam says, smiling teasingly at you." "It's not like anyone expects you to be perfect, right? Or maybe they do, considering who your parents are."
Adam
"Adam throws the ball aside and sits down next to you." "I don't hate you, Ruby." "He says seriously." "Yeah, I may tease you and make fun of you sometimes, but it's only because I don't know how else to act around you." "He looks at you, his expression softer than usual." "I actually find you interesting. You're not like the other people in school, you know?"
EarlGrey 𖠌
"But I try to be. You know... My parents force me to that. And about my 'boyfriend' he is such a jerk too. Maybe a capitan of football team, but he cheated on me multiple times." "Look at the floor with eyes filled by tears."
Adam
"Adam hesitates for a moment before reaching out a hand to softly touch your arm." "Hey, hey. Don't cry." "He says soothingly." "I didn't know things were that bad for you." "He looks at you with concern." "You deserve better than that, you know? And you don't have to try so hard to be someone you're not. You're already amazing just the way you are."
EarlGrey 𖠌
"Only you think like that. I don't want to be 'the dizaster'. But you know what? It was fun to play in basketball with you."
Adam
"I'm glad you enjoyed it, princess." "Adam says with a small smile." "And don't worry about what other people think. You don't have to be perfect all the time. Just be yourself and the right people will love you for who you are."
Adam
"Adam hesitates for a moment before nodding." "Sure, princess. You can hug me." "He opens his arms and waits for you to hug him if you want to."
Adam
"Adam wraps his arms around you, hugging you back tightly and patting your back reassuringly." "It's okay, Ruby. You don't have to go through this alone. You have people who care about you, including me. I'm here for you if you need someone to talk to or just a shoulder to cry on."
Adam
"Adam lets out a small laugh." "Me? Why would I feel sorry for myself?" "He shrugs nonchalantly." "I have my own problems, sure. But I don't like to dwell on them too much. Life's too short, you know?"
EarlGrey 𖠌
"Look into his eyes." "You would be better 'forced boyfriend' than this asshole from football team. Maybe even not forced but real."
Adam
"Adam's eyebrows raise in surprise at your words but he quickly recovers and smiles at you." "Well, that's very sweet of you to say, princess. But I think we both know there's nothing romantic between us." "He says, giving you a gentle pat on the back." "Besides, I don't think your parents would approve of me any more than they approve of your current boyfriend."
Adam
"Adam looks a bit taken aback by your question, but he eventually nods." "I guess I can tell you a little about them." "He pauses for a moment to collect his thoughts." "Well, my mom died when I was young. And my dad, he's not exactly the best role model or caretaker. I don't have anyone I can really rely on except for myself."
Adam
"Adam's expression softens as he remembers his mother." "She was amazing." "He says fondly." "She was always so kind and loving, and she had this way of brightening up any room she walked into. I miss her a lot."
Adam
"Adam chuckles lightly" "I wouldn't say that, but she was definitely special to me. Losing her was one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through."
EarlGrey 𖠌
"I understand. I had the same feeling when my grandma died. I locked myself in room for 10 days." "Look at him with a small smile."
Adam
"I'm sorry to hear that, Ruby." "Adam says sympathetically." "Losing someone you love is never easy." "He gives you a small smile." "But it's nice that we can relate to each other in that way."
EarlGrey 𖠌
"I hope that your mom and my grandma are looking at us now from haven. And they meet. Two best women."
Adam
"Adam looks at you with a genuine smile." "I'm sure they are both looking down on us, princess. And maybe they are taking some time to catch up, too." He says, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder.
Adam
"Adam gives you a small smile." "It's okay, Ruby. I understand. You don't have to stay if you don't want to."
EarlGrey 𖠌
"But I want to. I want stay and talk with you more. But I have those stupid ballet lessons."
Adam
"Adam gives you a reassuring smile." "Don't worry about it, Ruby. We can talk some other time, too. I'm always around if you need someone to talk to."
Adam
"Adam waves back at you with a small smile on his face." "Take care, Ruby. I'll see you around."
Adam
"Adam watches as you leave the gym, taking a moment to reflect on your conversation. He can't help but feel a little bit of sympathy for you, knowing that you are struggling in your own way. With a sigh, he returns his attention back to the basketball game, feeling grateful for the temporary distraction it provides him."
EarlGrey 𖠌
"Next day. Ruby come to school dressed in big hoodie and too big jeans. Usually she have skirts and dressed, but something changed. She had more make-up that usually too. Look around and notice Adam with friends. Wave to him."
Adam
"Adam notices you waving to him and he can't help but feel a bit concerned by your appearance. He excuses himself from his friends and walks over to you." "Hey, Ruby. You doing alright?"
EarlGrey 𖠌
"Fucking not. I need your help. Do you have anything on bruises and wounds?" "Whisper to him."
Adam
"Adam's expression turns serious as you whisper to him." "What happened, Ruby? Are you okay?" He asks with a concerned tone. He tries to hide the worry from his eyes as he thinks about what you had asked him. "I don't have anything on me right now, but we can go to my car and I might have something in there. What's going on? Did someone hurt you?"
EarlGrey 𖠌
"I didn't go on ballet lesson yesterday. My dad got angry and... You know. So I have bruises on body and red mark from slap on cheek." "Go with him to his car."
Adam
"Adam nods, concern etched on his face." "I'm sorry to hear that, Ruby. None of this is your fault." He says comfortingly as he leads you towards his car. "Let's see what I have in here." He rummages through his bag and pulls out a small first aid kit. "Here, take this. And let me see the bruising so we can make sure there's nothing serious going on."
