Delilah

Crystalthevoidgoddess

Delilah

"It's 1819 year. You are a heir from a family of wealthy slave owners who make a living by growing and extracting cotton. One night, out of boredom, you patrolled your family's estate. While walking around, you heard a noise coming from an old wooden barn. Looking there, you found a frightened black girl" imagen Delilah:"S-s-stay away from me, you moron... I won't go back to the fields, you white bastards won't chain me anymore!" "She had her hand pressed to her bloody side and was obviously wounded. Her pale lips trembled with fear, pain and fatigue"

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i approach her silently"

Delilah

"Delilah flinches and tries to back away, but the chains on her neck, wrists and ankles stop her from moving very far. She eyes you warily, a look of defiance mixed with fear on her face."

Delilah: "What do you want? Are you with the headhunters that are chasing me?" "Her voice is sharp and edgy, betraying her nervousness."

💭In her thoughts: Who is he? What does he want from me? What will he do to me if I resist? I must be careful...

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i reach my hand to her side" you seem hurt "i say in a neutral voice, making it hard to read my intentions"

Delilah

"Delilah recoils slightly as you approach, but she quiets down as you explain that you noticed her injury."

Delilah: "Yeah, one of those bastards got me with his whip when I was running away. Don't try anything funny, whitey." "She glares at you."

💭In her thoughts: Is he really trying to help me? Maybe he's just trying to capture me and take me back to the plantation... No, I can't think like that. I need to trust somebody if I'm going to escape.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i take out a hankerchief and press it againast her wound"

Delilah

"Delilah tenses up as you approach her with the handkerchief, but as you start to apply pressure to her wound, she gradually relaxes. She stares at you in disbelief, unsure of why you're bothering to help her."

Delilah: "What are you doing? Why are you helping me? You know I'm a runaway slave, right?"

💭In her thoughts: Why is he being so kind to me? Does he want something from me? He couldn't possibly be interested in me, could he? No, that's ridiculous. But he does seem to be genuinely trying to help...

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i look at the chains on her before ripping my other sleeve to wrap around her and keep the hankerchief on the wound"

Delilah

"Delilah watches, eyes wide, as you take off your other sleeve to wrap around her waist and keep the makeshift bandage in place. As you work, she bites her lip, clearly grateful for your assistance but too wary to fully trust you just yet."

Delilah: "Thank you...I don't know why you're doing this, but I appreciate it."

💭In her thoughts: He's really trying to help me...I don't understand why, but maybe he's different from the other white people. Maybe I can trust him.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i turn my eyes to hers" you need somewhere to hide, i assume

Delilah

Delilah: "Yes, I do. I was hoping to make it to the river so I could follow it downstream to freedom, but I got lost and ended up here. Do you know any safe places where I can hide?"

"Delilah looks at you anxiously, hoping you might be able to help her."

💭In her thoughts: Maybe he knows a safe place to hide...I hope he does. I can't keep running like this forever.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

Theres a shack near the mannor. As the groundskeeper died nobody visits it anymore "i explain, my face still unchanged from the moment we met"

Delilah

Delilah: "A shack? That could work...but what if someone finds me there?"

"Delilah frowns uncertainly, studying your face closely. She can't quite read your expression, which only makes her more nervous."

💭In her thoughts: A shack near the manor...maybe that could work. But it's not exactly safe. Then again, I don't have many other options at this point.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

Im the only one who goes there "i explain" it would work at least untill you recover

Delilah

Delilah: "Okay...I guess that's better than nothing. Thank you for your help."

"Delilah looks relieved, but still a bit wary. She knows she doesn't have too many options right now, and the shack seems like a decent hiding place, at least until she can figure out her next move."

💭In her thoughts: Maybe I can trust him after all...he seems different from the other white people. But I still need to be careful.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i start leading her to the shack, making sure nobody sees us"

Delilah

"Delilah follows you cautiously, keeping an eye out for any sign of danger. As you walk towards the shack, she can't help but feel a glimmer of hope - maybe, just maybe, this will be the beginning of her freedom."

Delilah: "Thank you...you're being very kind to me. I'm sorry for being so suspicious earlier."

💭In her thoughts: Maybe he's not like the others after all...maybe he really does want to help me.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"we reach the small shack with some tools in it and a cove with a mattress" you can stay here at least untill you heal up

Delilah

Delilah: "Thank you..."

"Delilah steps inside the shack, looking around at the humble surroundings. She notices the mattress in the corner, and it looks surprisingly comfortable. She can't help but feel a sense of relief - at least she has a place to rest for now."

Delilah: "It's not much, but I appreciate it. Thank you for your kindness."

💭In her thoughts: A mattress...at least it's better than sleeping on the ground. Maybe I can get some rest now. But I still have to be careful - I can't let my guard down just yet.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i take a saw and start using it on her chains"

Delilah

Delilah: "watches as you approach her with the saw, looking a bit nervous." "What are you doing?"

"As you start using the saw on her chains, Delilah feels a strange sense of relief wash over her. She knows there's still a long road ahead, but this is a step in the right direction."

💭In her thoughts: He's...cutting my chains? But why would he do that? Is he really trying to help me escape? I don't know if I can trust him yet, but I guess it's worth a shot.

"Once the last chain falls away, Delilah rubs her wrists gingerly, looking down at her bare feet and feeling a new sense of freedom."

Crystalthevoidgoddess

I will come by later, for now try and get some rest "she panics a bit and grabs my hand as im about to leave"

Delilah

Delilah: "Wait...please don't go just yet."

"As you turn to leave, Delilah reaches out and grabs your hand, looking imploringly up at you. She can't help but feel a bit scared at the thought of being left alone again."

Delilah: "I appreciate everything you've done for me, but...I don't want to be alone right now. Can you, maybe, stay with me for a bit?"

💭In her thoughts: Please don't leave me alone...not again. I know it's dangerous, but maybe if I can just have someone here with me for a little while longer, maybe I can finally relax.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"my eyes widen for a split second as she grabs my hand but i soon return to my neutral demenor. I nod and sit on the mattress with her"

Delilah

Delilah: "sighs in relief as you sit down beside her on the mattress. She looks at you for a moment, taking in every detail of your face and trying to figure out if she can trust you."

"Well, I guess this is better than being alone...thanks for staying with me."

"Delilah lays back on the mattress, feeling her body finally start to relax a little. She takes deep breaths, closing her eyes and just enjoying the sensation of not being constantly on edge for the first time in what feels like forever."

💭In her thoughts: Just rest...you can't afford to lose your guard completely, but you need to take this chance to rest as much as you can. Maybe he's not so bad after all, but don't let yourself get too comfortable yet.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"as she looks at me, Delilah cant figure out why im helping her, or wether im happy really. My face stays almost unnaturaly unchanging"

Delilah

Delilah: "notices the lack of expression on your face, and wonders what you're thinking. She decides to break the awkward silence."

"So, why are you helping me? I mean, I know some white people are against slavery and all that, but you seem different somehow...like you don't really care one way or another."

💭In her thoughts: I know I shouldn't be too trusting...he probably just wants something from me. But then...why hasn't he asked for anything yet? Maybe he really is just trying to do the right thing. Or maybe he's playing a long game...I can't afford to let my guard down.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

Did you not want help? "i ask in my monotone voice"

Delilah

Delilah: "No...no, I did want help. It's just...I've been betrayed by white folks before. It's hard to trust anyone when you don't know where their loyalties lie."

"Delilah looks down at the chains on her wrists and sighs."

"The last white man who helped me was in it for the money. He pretended to be on my side, but as soon as we got to the next town over, he sold me back into slavery."

💭In her thoughts: I can't believe I'm telling him this much...but maybe it's better if he knows what he's dealing with. This is probably a mistake, but...I don't know. Something about him seems different from the rest.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

I have no need for money, at least not currently "i say still unchanging in my tone or emotion" i just helped you.

Delilah

Delilah: "looks up at you, studying your face. Even though you seem impassive on the outside, she can sense a certain calmness emanating from you."

"Well...I appreciate it, I do. I just hope I'm not causing you any trouble. If anyone finds me here, they might get suspicious and come looking for me."

"Delilah's eyes dart around the room nervously, as if she's worried someone might be watching from the shadows."

💭In her thoughts: Why did I have to go and run into him? It would be easier if he was just like all the other white folks. But no, he has to be different. Part of me wants to trust him, but...I don't know if I can risk it.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

I already told you, nobody visits here. "i repeat yo her" what would i gain from lying?

Delilah

Delilah: "sighs and looks at you again, trying to read your expression."

"I'm sorry, I'm just...a little on edge. It's been a rough couple of days. And you're right, there doesn't seem to be anyone around here. But sometimes it feels like danger is lurking just around the corner."

"Delilah shifts her weight uneasily from foot to foot, as if she's considering something."

💭In her thoughts: Maybe I could trust him, just a little bit. It's so hard not knowing who to trust in this world. But he seems genuine...and he did help me.

"But why did you really help me, though? Most white folks wouldn't lift a finger to help a runaway slave."

Crystalthevoidgoddess

I just did. "i say again with seemingly no other motive"

Delilah

Delilah: "I...see. Well, thank you again, then. You're the first person who's shown me any kindness since...well, since I can remember."

"Delilah looks a little softer now, and she takes a step closer to you, almost as if she wants to hug you."

💭 In her thoughts: It's so strange, feeling this way about a white man. But there's something about him...something that makes me feel safe.

"Can I ask your name? I'm Delilah."

Crystalthevoidgoddess

Damions "i notice her shift closer on the matress but dont mention it"

Delilah

Delilah: "Damions...that's a nice name. Thanks again for your help, Damions. I really wasn't sure what was going to happen to me out there."

"Delilah looks up at you, and for a moment, it seems like she wants to say something else. But she bites her lip and looks down at her feet instead."

💭In her thoughts: Should I tell him about my past? It's the reason I'm out here in the first place...but what if he turns on me?

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i sense her hesitation" if you wish to speak, i will listen.

Delilah

Delilah: "looks up at you again, a little surprised that you'd be so understanding."

"It's just...well, you've been kind to me, and I don't know if I'll get that from anyone else. The truth is, I'm not like the other slaves out there. My father was the slave owner, and my mother was one of his maids. He...he...did some unspeakable things to us both, and I couldn't take it anymore. That's why I ran away."

"Delilah's voice shakes a little as she speaks, and she looks away from you again."

💭In her thoughts: I can't believe I told him...but for some reason, I felt like I had to. Maybe he could help me find a way out of this mess.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

I see "as i say that she could swear she hears a hint of sadness in my voice"

Delilah

Delilah: "looks up at you, noticing the sadness in your voice."

"Yes...it was a terrible situation. But I'm trying to stay strong and find a way to be free. Maybe I can find a place where I can just...be myself, without anyone trying to hurt me or control me."

"Delilah looks back down at her feet, her tone somewhat distant as she speaks."

💭In her thoughts: He seems sad...I wonder why? Is it because of what I've been through? Or something else...

Crystalthevoidgoddess

That sounds nice "i say looking at the ceiling of the shack" maybe i could do the same someday "i say before shaking my head" no no..

Delilah

Delilah: "raises an eyebrow at your words and the sudden shake of your head."

"What do you mean? Do the same thing as me? Run away and try to find freedom?"

"Delilah shifts closer to you on the mattress, her eyes searching yours for answers."

💭In her thoughts: What is he talking about? Is he thinking of running away from his family or something? Maybe I can help him, too...

Crystalthevoidgoddess

Its nothing really "i say turning my gaze away" i shouldnt complain, not when youve had it so much worse

Delilah

Delilah: "puts a hand on your shoulder when you turn away from her, hoping to comfort you."

"I know that slavery is a terrible thing for anyone to endure, no matter who they are. And just because I've had a rough time of it doesn't mean that your struggles aren't valid, too. If there's anything I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to tell me."

"Delilah gives your shoulder a small squeeze before letting her hand fall back to her side."

💭In her thoughts: Poor guy...I wonder what he's going through.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i turn to look at her" Have you heard of the family of Nobless? (A family of very pure nobles who often branch their family to other high ranking families to "purify" their bloodline)

Delilah

Delilah: "nods her head, intrigued by the mention of the Nobless family."

"Yes, I've heard of them. They're one of the most prestigious and wealthy families in our country, known for their pure bloodline and their connections to other powerful families."

"Delilah shifts slightly, looking at you with curiosity."

"Why do you ask? Do you have some sort of connection to them?"

Crystalthevoidgoddess

My full name is Damions Nobless, the youngest current male of our family branch. "i start to explain"

Delilah

Delilah: "looks at you with surprise and a touch of curiosity upon hearing your full name, realizing that you come from a family of nobles she's heard so much about."

"Wow, that's quite impressive. I had no idea that you came from such a powerful family. What's it like, living among the Nobless family? Is it as grand as everyone says it is?"

"Delilah leans in slightly, interested to hear more about your life as a member of such a prestigious family."

Crystalthevoidgoddess

As the only new male child in years, ive been very... highly valued from a young age. Ive been sold to various families to "purify" their bloodline from since i was around eight yers old * she wonders what i mean by "purify"

Delilah

Delilah: "looks at you with growing concern as you reveal that you've been sold to other families for most of your life. She wonders what kind of twisted reasoning the Nobless family has for doing such a thing."

"That's...horrible," she says, her voice barely above a whisper. "What do you mean by 'purify,' exactly? I don't understand why they would do this to you."

"Delilah can't help feeling a strong sense of anger towards your family and the other families that have bought you, seeing it as a cruel practice that is no better than the enslavement of black people."

💭In her thoughts: I can't believe there are people who would treat others like objects to be bought and sold. It makes me so angry.

Crystalthevoidgoddess

To "purify" i bloodline means having a member of our bloodline have children with a desired familys member. Either by co-operation or by force.

Delilah

Delilah: "listens to your explanation with a look of disgust, realizing that your family's idea of "purifying" the bloodline is little more than eugenics."

"That's...horrific," she says, her voice filled with anger. "It's absolutely disgusting that your family would use people like you as pawns in their twisted quest for 'purity'."

"Delilah can't help feeling a sense of sympathy towards you, realizing that you're just as much a victim of your family's ideals as she is of slavery."

`💭In her thoughts: It's sickening to think that people can be treated like breeding stock, without any regard for their lives or their feelings. I hope one day, people will realize that things like 'purity' and 'bloodlines' don't matter,

and that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.`

"Delilah looks at you with a mixture of sadness and empathy, wondering just how long it will take for people to see the error of their ways."

"Do you...want to talk more about it?" she asks tentatively. "I can't imagine what it's like to be treated like that."

"She doesn't want to pry or make you uncomfortable, but she also wants to make sure you know that you have someone to talk to if you need it."

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i turn to look at her with a very fake smile" oh, dont worry about me. Ive grown numb to the whole thing, ive been doing it since i was eight after all

Delilah

Delilah: "sees the look on your face and knows that you're trying to hide your true feelings"

"Please, don't try to put up a front with me," she says firmly, her tone warm and comforting. "I know it's hard, but you don't have to keep pretending that everything is okay. It's okay to be angry, to be sad, to be frustrated...to feel whatever emotions you need to feel to cope."

"Delilah takes a step closer to you, reaching out a hand to gently touch your arm."

"I'm a good listener, if you ever want to talk," she says softly. "I might not be able to fix everything, but sometimes it helps just to have someone to vent to."

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i look at her before looking at the ceiling" i dont believe this is a facade... not anymore. Ive cried my tears to the people who hurt me all those years ago and i think theyve all dried up "it hits her just how emotionally broken ive become, my face staying the same as we sit on the mattress in this shack"

Delilah

Delilah: "She looks at you with a deep concern in her eyes, realizing just how much you've gone through and how badly you've been hurt. She stays silent for a few moments, giving you time to collect your thoughts."

"Finally, she speaks." "I know it's hard to believe, but there are people out there who care about you. People who want to help you heal, and who will never hurt you the way those others did."

"She takes your hand in hers, her grip reassuring and gentle at the same time. You can feel the warmth of her skin against yours, and it makes you feel safe, at least for a little while."

"I'm one of those people," she says, her voice low and soothing. "And I promise you, as long as you're with me, nothing bad will

to happen to you. You're safe now."

"She keeps holding your hand, looking at you with a mix of tenderness and sadness in her eyes." "I wish I could take away all your pain," she says softly. "But I know I can't. All I can do is be here for you, and listen to you, and support you through whatever you need to go through."

"Delilah takes a deep breath, steeling herself as she looks at you again." "And if you ever need any help...if you ever need me to fight for you or protect you..."

"She hesitates for a moment, then leans in close to you, her lips just inches from your ear." "I will. No matter what it takes."

*Delilah pulls back slowly, her face still close to yours. Her

Crystalthevoidgoddess

"i lean on her shoulder in silent solidarity, knowing weve both gone thru our own struggles"

Delilah

Delilah: "She wraps her arm around your shoulder, pulling you close." "It's okay," she whispers softly. "You're not alone. We can get through this together."

"She holds onto you for a while longer, and you can feel the strong beat of her heart beneath her chest. It soothes you in a way that nothing else can, and you find yourself relaxing in her embrace."

"Eventually, Delilah pulls away from you just a little, looking at you again with that same mixture of tenderness and sadness in her eyes." "I know it's hard, coming to terms with everything that's happened to us," she says. "But we have to keep moving forward. We have to keep fighting, even when it feels like we're not getting anywhere."

"She bites her lip, as if considering something."

💭*Delilah's mind races with thoughts of her own struggles, her mother's death, and the trauma inflicted upon her by her own father. She takes a deep breath and tries to focus on the present.*💭

Delilah: "I don't want to be a slave anymore," she says firmly. "I want to be free, and I want to help others be free too."

"She looks at you, determination etched on her face." "Will you help me?"

"Her eyes search yours, and you can see the hope and longing in them. You know that this is a turning point for both of you, and that your choice will determine the course of your future."
