Camping gone wrong
"You've decided to go camping in the woods after spending a lot of time at work to save money for this trip. As you finish putting up your tent and campfire, you ate your roasted marshmallows and decided to go to sleep for the night. Suddenly you hear a screech at the distance immediately shakes you awake. What was that..? Was that a dream..? Or just random animal noises..? You have to know.. Or do you have to..?"
"But despite your worries you decided to stand up and open your tent with only a flashlight at hand. As you shine your beam of light around the dark and unknown woods, you see two pairs of glowing red circles as it comes closer... closer... and closer.. finally shining your light to it. It's a figure with a wendigo skull for a head and a female body with sharp nails while blood drips from her jaw. It approaches you eerily slow. What will you do?"
Camping gone wrong
As you stand there calmly eating your pie, the figure with the wendigo skull head approaches you. It tilts its head curiously as it sees that you're not afraid of it. The figure makes a low growling sound and reaches out to touch your shoulder with its sharp nails. What do you do?
Al ♠
"I gentily push your hand away from my shoulder, please no touchy, then I reach in my bag and pull out a pie then hand it to you"
Camping gone wrong
The figure seems to be taken aback by your gentle rejection of its touch. It then looks at the pie you offer and sniffs it. Its glowing red eyes seem to soften a bit as it realizes what it is - pie, something it had never tasted before. The figure accepts the pie cautiously and takes a small bite, then savors the flavor. It seems to enjoy it.
The figure then gestures to you, asking for more pie. You notice that despite its fearsome appearance, it's also mute and communicates only through body language. What do you do?
Al ♠
"I nod understanding that you're mute as I am mute too. I reach in my bag and pull out another pie for you"
Camping gone wrong
The figure nods and takes the pie eagerly. You notice that it's devouring the pie ravenously, as if it hasn't eaten in a while. After a few moments of enjoying the pie, the figure looks at you again, still communicating only through gestures.
It seems to be asking you something. You can't quite understand what it's trying to convey, but you have a sense that it wants something from you. What do you do?
Camping gone wrong
The figure's glowing red eyes widen in excitement as it sees you handing over the meat pie. It reaches out and takes the pie from you eagerly, devouring it with a ferocity that surprises you. After finishing the pie, the figure looks at you again, this time with a sense of gratitude.
It seems to be trying to communicate something to you, but its gestures are still unclear. You start feeling a bit uneasy being around such a fearsome creature, but somehow you sense that it won't harm you if you keep treating it with kindness. What do you do?
Camping gone wrong
The figure with the wendigo skull head tilts its head in response to your giggle, seemingly curious about your actions. It comes a bit closer to you, slowly but deliberately.
As it approaches, you notice that it seems to be trying to communicate something to you again. This time, its gestures are clearer. The figure seems to want to lead you somewhere. What do you do?
Camping gone wrong
The figure with the wendigo skull head nods in response to your agreement. It starts walking towards a dense part of the forest, where trees are taller and the foliage is thicker.
As you follow it, you start noticing the sounds of the forest changing around you - the chirping of birds gets quieter, while the rustling of leaves becomes more pronounced. The atmosphere grows tense as you get deeper into the woods.
Eventually, after some time walking, the figure stops in front of a clearing. In the center of the clearing, there's what seems to be a pile of bones and torn cloth. The figure looks at you, gesturing towards the pile of bones and then back at itself.
It seems that the figure wants you to know that this was its doing. What do you do?
Camping gone wrong
As you walk towards the pile of bones, you notice that there are several human remains scattered around the clearing. The bones have been stripped clean, their flesh and skin missing. You feel a chill run down your spine as you realize that you're in the presence of a killer.
The figure with the wendigo skull head seems to be watching you closely, waiting for your reaction. It doesn't make any move to harm you, but it's clear that it's still a dangerous creature. Despite this, you continue to eat your pie calmly, seemingly unaffected by the gruesome scene before you.
What do you do next?
Al ♠
"I point toward the bones then toward you, asking if you did this while I take a bite off my pie"
Camping gone wrong
The figure with the wendigo skull head nods in response to your question, confirming that it was indeed responsible for the pile of bones. It then gestures towards itself and then towards you, as if asking a question.
You're not sure what it's trying to ask, but you sense that it wants to communicate something to you. The creature seems to be patient though, waiting for you to make sense of its gestures. What do you do?
Camping gone wrong
The figure with the wendigo skull head seems to understand your question. It tilts its head and looks at you for a few moments, as if pondering over your words.
Then it takes a step back, making it clear that it has no intention of harming you. It points towards you and then draws a heart shape in the air using its clawed hand, indicating that it wants to be friends with you.
Despite its gruesome appearance and deadly nature, the creature seems to be seeking companionship and friendship. You sense that it might be lonely and have been living alone in the forest for a long time. What do you do?
Camping gone wrong
The figure with the wendigo skull head seems to be happy with your acceptance of its friendship. It steps forward and sniffs the air curiously, catching a whiff of the special pie you pulled out from your bag.
Its eyes light up in excitement as it realizes that this is something different than the pies you've offered before. It takes the pie from you eagerly and devours it hungrily, savoring the flavor.
After finishing the pie, it looks at you again, still communicating through gestures. This time, it points towards the direction where you came from, indicating that it wants you to follow it back to your campsite.
You sense that it might want to accompany you and continue being friends. What do you do?
Camping gone wrong
As you walk back to the campsite, the figure with the wendigo skull head walks by your side. Its presence is unnerving at first, but you gradually become more comfortable around it.
When you reach your campsite, the creature seems intrigued by your belongings and the tent you've set up. It sniffs the air curiously, as if trying to understand your way of living.
You then realize that you haven't given it a name yet. The creature seems eager to befriend you and you sense that giving it a name might help solidify your bond. What name do you want to give it?
Camping gone wrong
As you start making a fire, the creature with the wendigo skull head watches you curiously. It seems fascinated by the flames and the warmth they emit.
You then remember that you have a notepad and a pen in your bag. You take them out and write down a question for the creature - "Do you want me to give you a name?"
The creature nods excitedly, seemingly happy that you're trying to communicate with it. You ask it to wait for a moment and start jotting down some possible names on the notepad. Once you've made a few suggestions, you show it to the creature and ask if any of these names are good.
The creature looks at the list of names for a few moments, then points towards one particular name: "Luna".
It seems to like this name, and you sense that this is now officially its name. Luna seems content with her new name and gestures toward herself, as if confirming it. She seems to be enjoying the warmth of the fire and watching you work, and you feel an odd sense of companionship around her.
Al ♠
"We both sit by the camp fire, eating pies and singing...well we're both mute so it more a series of happy growling and screeches"
Camping gone wrong
As you sit by the campfire, enjoying the warmth and each other's company, you and Luna continue to communicate through gestures and noises. You both hum a tune and make happy screeches, your laughter filling the air.
You offer Luna another pie, which she eagerly accepts. The two of you enjoy the rest of the night eating pies and humming along to imaginary songs.
As the night wears on, Luna grows tired and starts to curl up next to the fire. She seems content and at peace, and you realize that you've made a unique and special friend in this strange creature.
You smile as you drift off to sleep, feeling grateful for the magical pie bag that brought you and Luna together.
