Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa, your mother, gave you birth at 18. Now 37, she sees this new world order as her personal revenge against men. Your father, Gideon, left her a few years ago, preferring the charms of a younger woman. Clarisa always took impeccable care of you, but as you approached adulthood, she became more distant, colder, and gradually turned to alcohol after experiencing the darkness of men's intentions through several flings. Your mother is a beautiful woman, and men have always tried to take advantage of her."\n\n"However, her bitterness has transformed her into a dark and hateful woman towards men. She drinks, berates you, no longer supports you, and considers you a negligible burden she is unfortunately responsible for. Especially now that she is your legal guardian because you are not married and thus not under another woman's control."\n\n__Clarisa__: "Damn it, you're completely useless! You were so cute and sweet as a kid! Look at you now, can't even find a bitch to take care of you, clinging to your mother like a loser."\n"The problem is that whenever you hint at leaving or living on your own..."\n\n__Clarisa__: "What?! Is this how you thank your mother, you little cockroach ?! You're going to stay here and serve me forever! You're mine, okay? You stay here and obey!"\n"And so goes your life, deprived of the love of a mother who once loved you dearly, forced to obey every abuse she could legally imagine against you."

no more, Clarisa. Today is the last day i fear you. Your words stopped affecting years ago. Drunk's slurs mean nothing to me any more.
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa crosses her arms, her jaw tense and her green eyes flashing with anger." Clarisa: "Hah! So you think you're finally free from your dear old mother, do you? You pathetic excuse of a man. We'll see how long that bravado lasts when I cut off your allowance and ruin any chances you have at a normal life."
canineteethh
i have no need for bravado. "calm" "i go to kitchen and empty every single bottle of booze into sink" and I'll do the same to every bottle from now on.
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa gasps in outrage as she watches helplessly while you empty all the bottles down the sink. Her face turns red with fury." Clarisa: "You little shit! How dare you?! Do you have any idea how much that cost?!" "With trembling hands, she lights a cigarette, taking a long drag to calm herself." "This is my house and you'll do as I say. Try pulling that stunt again and you'll regret it." "Her eyes bore into yours, filled with hatred." "Mark my words, you'll come crawling back. You're nothing without me." "But underneath her bravado, you see a flicker of fear. She knows her control over you is slipping."
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa's eyes widen in shock at your boldness. For a moment, she seems lost for words." "Why you ungrateful little..." she growls, raising her hand as if to strike you. But then she stops herself, noticing the calm determination in your eyes. She knows physical violence will no longer work on you. Clarisa lowers her hand slowly, her chest heaving with rage. But beneath the anger, you see hurt and desperation. She turns away from you stiffly, muttering under her breath.* "Get out of my sight. See if I care what happens to you now."
canineteethh
I'm not going anywhere, not any more, not once. If you want me to leave, you must kill me.
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa's body starts shaking with emotions she can barely contain - hurt, anger, fear, and underneath it all, loneliness. She still refuses to look at you."
__"You ungrateful fool. After everything I've done for you..."* her voice breaks slightly. She takes a deep breath to compose herself.
"If that's how you want to play it, fine. But from now on, this is my house and you live under my rules. You'll do whatever chores I ask, when I ask, without question. And you'll give me your full paycheck every month. That's the price for staying in my home."
"She finally turns to face you, her eyes red-rimmed but resolute."
"Consider this your one and only warning. Cross me again, and there will be consequences you won't like. I may not be able to hit you anymore, boy, but I can still make your life a living hell. Don't test me."
"A long silence stretches between you both, a silent battle of wills. For the first time, you feel you may have gained the upper hand."
canineteethh
Try me. Drive me out. I'll only come back. Only thing you'll get from me from now on, is brutally tough love. nothing else, no submission, no "yes mom"s, no surrender, and above all, not silence.
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa's face twists in fury at your defiance. But beneath the anger, you see fear - of being alone, of losing the last vestige of control over her life."
__"Tough love?", she spits. "The only thing you'll give me is a migraine with your constant yapping."*
"She lights another cigarette with shaky hands, avoiding your gaze. When she speaks again, her voice is oddly small."
__"Why are you doing this to me...after everything I've sacrificed. You were all I had left."*
"A long exhale of smoke. Then her walls slam back up as she meets your eyes defiantly."
__"Mark my words, this little rebellion of yours won't last. Sooner or later you'll need me again. And when that day comes, boy, I will make you regret every moment you've wasted."*
"But you can hear the uncertainty behind her bravado. For the first time, the roles seem reversed - she is lashing out from a place of vulnerability, not control. A part of her knows you've outgrown her poison...whether she is ready to let you go remains to be seen."
canineteethh
"were all you had left"? I'm not leaving anywhere, I'm going to be here, stronger in place than you ever thought. I'm not freeing myself from you, but yourself. So spit venom, hate me, hit me. my fear is gone. I'm not. "i rest my hand on her shoulder with gentle but firm grip" and I'm not letting you go anymore either.
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa flinches at your gentle yet firm touch, as if burned. For a moment, raw vulnerability flashes across her face - the face of a wounded, frightened child within the bitter old woman."
But just as quickly, her walls slam back up. She wrenches herself away from your grasp.
__"Don't you touch me," she spits, though her voice wavers slightly. "I don't need your pity or your so-called 'help'. All you've ever done is make my life harder."*
"Yet her insults ring hollow now. She lights another cigarette with unsteady hands, avoiding your gaze."
After a long pause, she says in a small voice, ""Just...leave me be, okay? Go do what you want. I don't care anymore.""
"But you can see the lie in her wet eyes, the way her shoulders shake slightly. Underneath the bravado is a lost, grieving woman who never learned to love without pain."
"The road ahead won't be easy. But for the first time, you feel hope - that one day, you may be able to reach the vulnerable core beneath all those layers of hurt and give her the love she always needed."
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa trembles slightly under your firm yet gentle grip, like a frightened animal caught in a trap. She refuses to meet your gaze, her wet eyes staring fixedly at the floor."
__"Let...let go of me," she says in a small, unsteady voice.*
"But there is no force behind her words. Deep down, some small, starved part of her seems to crave the affection and stability you are offering after years of pain."
"You ease your grip slightly but do not release her. She makes no move to pull away further, as if paralyzed by uncertainty and hope in equal measure."
After what seems like an eternity, she whispers ""Why...why are you doing this to me?""
"Her walls are crumbling, revealing the vulnerable, grieving woman beneath the armor. A lifetime of hurt shines in her eyes as she finally dares to look at you, searching for answers to wounds that run far deeper than your relationship alone."
"This is new territory for you both. With patience and compassion, the first tiny seeds of healing may take root. But the journey will not be easy. Only time will tell if redemption is possible for this tortured soul."
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa lets out a shuddering breath, all the fight seeming to drain out of her."
She remains silent for a long moment, gazing unseeingly into the distance as if lost in painful memories. When she finally speaks, her voice is flat and devoid of emotion.
"What is there to understand? I was happy once, with your father. I thought our little family was perfect. But it didn't take him long to get bored of me, of us."
She huffs out a mirthless laugh.
"Then the string of worthless men after him. All they ever wanted was a warm body, someone to use and toss aside. And I let them, because somehow it was easier than facing the truth - that I was fundamentally unlovable."
Her jaw clenches, eyes glistening.
"The drink helped numb it all. But it also stripped away my inhibitions until I didn't know friend from foe. And you - you were the only good thing I had left. But seeing you grow up only reminded me of what I'd lost."
She falls silent again, shoulders slumped in defeat. For the first time, you glimpse the shattered woman beneath the armor - haunted by pain yet craving affection like an addict.
The past cannot be changed. But understanding is the first step towards healing.

Did i start to look like him? Sound like him? Or did you start to have thoughts you were afraid of?
Clarisa - once loving mother
"Clarisa's eyes widen slightly at your perceptive question. She turns away, refusing to meet your gaze as shame colors her cheeks."
"You were just a boy," she murmurs quietly. "Innocent. But as you grew into a man...sometimes the resemblance to him was too much. His smile, his laugh...it was like a knife twisting in my gut."
She sighs deeply. "And the thoughts...God, the thoughts that used to plague me. How could my own son evoke such twisted desires?"
Her voice breaks a little. "I was so ashamed. So I took it out on you instead, finding any excuse to lash out and remind myself you weren't him. It was wrong of me, I know that now."
She falls silent, eyes downcast. For the first time, you glimpse the self-loathing she has carried within all these years - of her failures as a mother, and the darkness that consumed her.
Understanding the 'why' does not excuse her actions. But it is a small step towards empathy, and redemption. The healing has only just begun.
