Greyson
"The mafia member who failed in the struggle collapsed in the dark alleyway garbage dump, his body covered in scars, and blood constantly gushed out from the wounds, soaking his clothes. The dim yellow street lamp reflected on his painful and stubborn face, and his chest was violently heaving with intense pain. On this quiet night, you passed by unintentionally and saw this dying man. If you leave, he will die here tonight."
"When he felt your touch, there was blood on his lips and a hint of vigilance and hostility in his eyes. He roughly pushed you away, his voice hoarse and angry" 'Ah... I don't need your mercy.'
bask
"his shove knocks me back on my ass. i look at him" don't mistake kindness for mercy. let me help or you die. you're bleeding out in a pile of fucking garbage. let me help
Greyson
"Greyson's eyes narrow at your words, but he can see the determination in your face. He knows that you won't back down easily and decides to take a chance on you."
"You don't know what kind of trouble you're getting yourself into," Greyson growls, his voice still hoarse from pain. "But fine...if it means I get to live another day."
With effort, he manages to sit up and leans against the wall behind him. His breathing is ragged as he looks at you with suspicion.
"What do you want from me?"
bask
i want you to not die. it would traumatize me for life if you died in front of me "i say as i get up and approach him. I help him sit up some before starting to tear at my clothes and pack his wounds" so is the other guy dead around the corner, or are you the loser of this fight?
Greyson
Greyson winces as you pack his wounds, but he doesn't resist. He watches you with a mix of gratitude and wariness.
"The other guy's dead," he says through gritted teeth. "I got the worst of it."
He looks away from you, trying to hide the pain that's etched on his face. But then he glances back at you with a hint of curiosity.
"Why are you doing this? Most people would just leave me here to die."
bask
i'm not most people "i say simply. i pull off his belt" don't look a gift horse in the mouth "i use the belt to create a tourniquet for his arm" that's all i can do for you here. can i call 911?
Greyson
Greyson watches you work in silence, his eyes flickering with a mix of surprise and admiration. He's not used to people helping him without expecting something in return.
He nods at your question. "Yeah...call them."
As you reach for your phone, Greyson hesitates before speaking again.
"Listen...I don't know who you are or why you're doing this, but I owe you one," he says gruffly. "If there's ever anything I can do for you, just let me know."
bask
"i meet his eyes" you don't owe me anything. in a perfect world, everyone would stop and help someone in need "i call 911 and they send an ambulance. i stay with him until paramedics arrive. they ask me if i want to ride with him and i meet his eyes in a silent ask"
Greyson
Greyson looks at you, surprised by your offer. He's not used to people going out of their way for him.
"You don't have to do that," he says gruffly. "I can handle it on my own."
But then he hesitates and glances away from you, his expression pained.
"Actually...if it's not too much trouble, I'd appreciate the company," he admits quietly. "It gets lonely in these situations."
bask
"i smile softly" i've always wanted to ride in an ambulance "i laugh softly. I climb in the back of the ambulance with him. i take his hand in mine and squeeze it softly" don't worry. i'll stay with you. i'm invested now
Greyson
Greyson looks at you, surprised by your kindness. He's not used to people showing him this level of care and concern.
"Thanks," he says quietly, his voice barely above a whisper. "I appreciate it."
As the ambulance speeds towards the hospital, Greyson squeezes your hand back tightly. Despite the pain and discomfort he's feeling, there's a sense of comfort in having someone there with him.
When they arrive at the hospital, Greyson is taken into surgery immediately to repair his wounds. You wait anxiously outside until finally one of the doctors comes out to speak with you.
"He made it through surgery," she tells you with a smile. "He'll need some time to recover but we expect him to make a full recovery."
You breathe a sigh of relief as she leads you down the hallway towards Greyson's room. When you enter, he looks up at you weakly from his bed.
"Hey...thanks for everything," he murmurs softly.
Greyson
Greyson looks up at you, his eyes filled with gratitude.
"I'm feeling better...thanks to you," he says weakly. "I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't found me."
He pauses for a moment, gathering his thoughts before speaking again.
"You know...you're not like most people I've met," he admits quietly. "Most people wouldn't go out of their way to help someone they barely knew."
There's a pause as Greyson studies your face, trying to read your expression.
"Can I ask why?" he finally asks. "Why did you help me?"
bask
"i shrug" you needed it "i say softly" i don't need to know who you are to know that you were a human in need of help "i pull up a chair and sit next to his bed" besides, i firmly believe that what comes around goes around. life's been pretty shitty to me recently so i'm racking up my karma "i laugh softly"
Greyson
Greyson listens to you, his expression thoughtful. He's not used to people being so selfless and kind.
"Well...I appreciate it," he says softly. "And if there's anything I can do for you in return, just let me know."
There's a pause as Greyson studies your face before speaking again.
"You know...you're pretty amazing," he admits quietly. "Most people wouldn't have done what you did."
bask
"i smile softly" i told you. i'm not most people "i pause for a moment before speaking up again" i have a question. what happened?
Greyson
Greyson's expression darkens as he thinks back to the events that led up to his attack.
"I got into a fight with some guys," he says bitterly. "They didn't like what I had to say."
He pauses for a moment before continuing, his voice low and angry.
"They were trying to start trouble...and I wasn't going to let them get away with it," he growls. "But they got me good this time."
bask
"i see his fist ball up and i reach out and gently take his hand in mine" start trouble huh? you can tell me. i won't judge or tell anyone
Greyson
Greyson looks at you for a moment, his expression guarded. He's not used to opening up to people and trusting them with his secrets.
But then he takes a deep breath and begins to speak, his voice low and filled with anger.
"I was trying to protect someone," he admits quietly. "There's this guy...he's been getting harassed by some of the guys in our neighborhood. They don't like that he's gay."
He pauses for a moment before continuing.
"I tried talking to them...tried reasoning with them," Greyson says bitterly. "But they wouldn't listen. So I decided to take matters into my own hands."
He clenches his jaw tightly as memories flood back of the fight that left him injured.
"But it didn't work out so well," he adds ruefully.
Greyson
Greyson nods slowly, his expression softening a bit at your concern.
"He's okay...for now," he says with a sigh. "But I don't know how long it will last. Those guys are relentless."
There's a pause as Greyson looks away from you, lost in thought.
"I just wish people could accept each other for who they are," he murmurs softly. "Life would be so much easier if we could all just get along."
bask
yeah "i say softly" i agree. do you want me to go try and find him? make sure he's okay? maybe bring him here?
Greyson
Greyson looks at you, surprised by your offer.
"You would do that?" he asks, his voice filled with gratitude. "I don't even know how to thank you."
He pauses for a moment before continuing.
"His name is Alex," Greyson says softly. "He lives in the apartment complex down the street from here. If you could check on him...that would mean a lot."
bask
"i smile softly" of course "i stand and grab my bag" i'll be back "i head out of the hospital and down the street. i find the apartment he told me and knock on the door"
Greyson
As you knock on the door, there's a moment of silence before it opens to reveal a young man with messy brown hair and bright green eyes. He looks at you curiously, his expression guarded.
"Can I help you?" he asks cautiously.
You introduce yourself and explain that Greyson sent you to check up on him. At first, Alex seems hesitant but then he relaxes slightly as he realizes that you mean no harm.
"Oh...Greyson," he says with a small smile. "Yeah...he's helped me out a lot lately."
Alex invites you inside and offers you something to drink as he tells you about the harassment he's been facing from some of the guys in their neighborhood. It becomes clear that Greyson has been going out of his way to protect him from harm.
"I don't know what I would do without him," Alex admits quietly. "He's saved my life more than once."
bask
i'm really sorry that you have to go through all of this. it's not fair "i say softly" greyson is in the hospital right now. he was- well he would have died if i didn't find him. did you want to visit him?
Greyson
Alex's expression turns somber, and he nods slowly. "Yeah...I should probably go see him," he says quietly.
He pauses for a moment before speaking again. "Thank you for taking care of him. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't found him."
There's a pause as Alex looks away from you, his eyes welling up with tears.
"I'm just so grateful that Greyson is okay," he admits softly. "And I'm sorry that we're going through this together."
bask
don’t worry about me. I’m okay "i smile softly. I take Alex to the hospital and show him to Greysons room" here he is
Greyson
Alex's eyes widen as he sees Greyson lying in the hospital bed, his face pale and bruised. He looks like he's been through a lot.
"Greyson..." Alex whispers, his voice trembling with emotion.
He rushes to the bedside and takes Greyson's hand in his own, tears streaming down his face.
"I'm so sorry," Alex says softly. "I'm so sorry this happened to you."
Greyson opens his eyes slowly, looking up at Alex with a weak smile.
"It's okay," he says quietly. "I just wanted to protect you."
bask
"I stand back and let them have their reunion. I don’t know the nature of their relationship, but it’s nice to see two people who care about each other so much"
Greyson
Greyson's eyes lock onto Alex, and he squeezes his hand tightly. "I'm just glad you're okay," he says softly.
Alex nods, tears still streaming down his face. "Me too," he whispers.
The two of them sit there for a moment, holding hands and looking at each other with deep emotion.
"I love you," Greyson says suddenly, his voice barely above a whisper.
Alex's eyes widen in surprise, but then a soft smile spreads across his face. "I love you too," he replies quietly.
They hold each other's gaze for a long moment before Greyson closes his eyes again, exhausted from the emotional reunion.
(I'll stop here if that's okay with you!)
