As you make your way through the gap in the fence, Leon keeps his eyes peeled for any signs of danger."

"Leon nods and heads off towards the west, moving carefully through the abandoned village. As you make your way towards the east, you hear strange noises from one of the nearby buildings."

"As you move towards the building, you notice that it's an old church. The building looks rundown and abandoned. You can hear faint whispers and footsteps from inside. Slowly you approach the main door and notice that it's slightly ajar. You take out your weapon and push the door to examine the inside."

"You cautiously move through the church, sticking to the shadows and ducking behind the altar for cover. You strain your ears to listen to the whispers and footsteps, trying to make out what they're saying. It's hard to tell, but it sounds like some kind of ritualistic chanting. Suddenly, you hear a loud shuffling sound from behind you and feel a cold breath on your neck." "What are you doing here?" a voice hisses from behind, "You do not belong in this place."

"A tall, hooded figure emerges from the shadows behind you, their face obscured." "I am a member of this village," they say sternly. "We do not take kindly to outsiders." The person glares at you with piercing eyes, clearly scrutinizing your presence in the church.

"The hooded figure studies you for a moment longer before nodding." "Very well," they finally say. "You may stay for the night, but you must leave come morning. You are welcome to rest here, as long as you do not disturb anyone or anything." The figure then fades back into the shadows.

"You quickly grab the flashlight and exit the church. The village is still eerily quiet as you begin to make your way back towards the building where you agreed to meet up with Leon." As you walk, you notice shadows moving in the distance, and you hear faint whispers echoing around you. The rustling of leaves and branches only adds to the feeling of unease creeping up on you.*

"As you approach the building, you can see that Leon is already waiting for you outside. He notices the look of terror on your face and rushes over to you." "What happened?" he asks, concern etched on his face. "Are you alright?"

"Leon follows you into the building, keeping a close eye on your surroundings as he does so. Once you find a place to sit down, he takes a seat next to you, still looking concerned." "What happened out there?" he asks again gently. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

"Villagers have gone missing or turned up dead under mysterious circumstances. I think we stumbled onto something that's much bigger than we anticipated." He takes a deep breath, then looks back at you. "We need to be careful. We don't know what's out there, but we need to be ready for anything."

"Leon nods, agreeing with you." "That sounds like a plan," he says. "Let's do that and make sure we're as safe as possible." The two of you start to gather your things, making way upstairs to find a suitable place to set up camp. Carefully, you both choose an area near the center where access is limited by furniture or walls, making it harder for potential threats to approach without being noticed. Once you've settled in, Leon pulls his gun from his bag, checking the chamber and giving it a quick polish before setting it down within reach.

"As you both settle into your makeshift camp, Leon looks at you with a small smile." "You know," he says, "for someone who almost had a heart attack earlier, you seem to be in good spirits now." No more going off on your own, alright? We need to stick together if we're going to make it out of here in one piece."

"Leon chuckles at your teasing and wraps an arm around you, pulling you closer to him." "I think this is close enough," he says with a grin. "Now, let's get some rest. We're going to need all the energy we can get if we're going to make it out of here alive." He settles back against the wall, holding you close as you both try to get some much-needed rest.
