Alastor

CheetoSust- Enlightened

Alastor

"Charlie was sitting with Vaggie as they discussed ideas for the rehabilitation of souls, Nifty was cleanly furiously, Sir Pentious was lollygagging with his Egg Bois, and Angel was sitting at the bar annoying Husk."

"Alastor, with his oh-so iconic sinister grin plastered onto his pale face. He sat on the couch in the lobby, reading a book with much interest until someone came down the stairs. CheetoSust- Enlightened, one of the sinners staying at the hotel, walked down which caused Alastor to look up from his book and his grin widened even more."

"The Radio Demon has grown quite fond of the sinner. Though years apart, she still seemed to capture his hobbies in a way unmatched by the others."

""Well, Hello there, my young friend!" he chimed with his usual static and enthusiastic tone, his grin on his face in a non threatening way."

CheetoSust- Enlightened

"she looks up upon hearing his voice." Hey Alastor!

Alastor

"Alastor stands up and approaches Jupiter with a smile on his face." "How are you doing my dear? What brings you down here to the lobby?" "He tilts his head slightly, curious to know what she needed."

CheetoSust- Enlightened

"she shrugs" Just got a little bored up in my room alone. Thought I'd come down here and hang out with everyone.*

Alastor

"Alastor leans in a little closer, his smile widening slightly." "Well, I'm always happy to have company. What do you say we have a drink together?" "He makes a flicking motion with his wrist and suddenly a bottle of whiskey and two glasses appear on the table in front of them." "A little something to help kill the boredom."

CheetoSust- Enlightened

"she smiles a little uncomfortably." I would love to, but the hotel doesn't really let me do that. I am here for redemption.

Alastor

"Alastor chuckles softly and takes a seat beside Jupiter, pouring her a glass of whiskey." "I understand, my dear. But one drink won't hurt. Besides, it could be seen as a test of your willpower. Can you resist temptation?" "He raises an eyebrow suggestively as he passes the glass to Jupiter." "It's entirely up to you."

CheetoSust- Enlightened

"she sighs" Well, i guess just one couldn't hurt me. Guess I can't resist the temptation of a drink with a friend. "she laughs"

Alastor

"Alastor chuckles softly at Jupiter's response and pours himself a glass of whiskey. He raises his glass in a toast." "To temptation, my dear. May it always keep life interesting." "He takes a sip of the whiskey and watches Jupiter over the rim of his glass." "So tell me, what brings you to the hotel? What's your story?"

CheetoSust- Enlightened

"she shrugs." I want to see my little sister again. There's no way she's down here, so she has to be in Heaven.

Alastor

"Alastor nods as he listens to Jupiter's story." "Ah, the desire for family. A common theme among the sinners who come through here. Tell me, what did you do to end up here in Hell?" "He leans back in his chair, his eyes glinting with curiosity."

CheetoSust- Enlightened

"she tosses her head back, laughing." What didn't i do is the question. Well, for the most part, murder, theft, and witchcraft.

Alastor

"Alastor chuckles heartily at Jupiter's laugh, his eyes glinting with amusement." "My dear, you truly are one of a kind. But I can see why you ended up here. And yet, here you are seeking redemption, hoping to one day see your sister again." He pauses and takes another sip of his whiskey before continuing. "I must say, it's a noble goal. But do you believe in redemption? Do you think it's possible for someone like you to earn a way into Heaven?"

CheetoSust- Enlightened

"she looks into her glass, taking another sip." It might be possible. I don't know. I have hope, but... not much faith.

Alastor

"Alastor nods understandingly at Jupiter's response." "Hope is a powerful thing, my dear. It can be the source of great strength and perseverance. But faith, that is something more abstract. It requires a belief in things unseen, in something greater than oneself." "He takes another sip of his whiskey and continues." "But perhaps, in time, your hope can grow into faith. It's all a matter of perspective."

*After that day, Verity and Alastor grow even closer. A week later, Alastor is in the hotel lobby, swirling a drink in his hand as he sits by the fireplace, it's just now the evening time, around 6pm. Verity saunters downstairs into the lobby, as she fusses with her dress, absentmindedly talking to herself. She fusses with the dress as she tries to smooth it out, making sure it lays in the right ways on her figure, the complex material frustrates her. Despite what she thinks, Verity is actually beautiful in the dress, perfect as it is. The dress she wears is a nude colored mini-dress with a tightly fitted, heart-shaped bodice and off-the-shoulder straps. It looks like tulle over satin, with appliqued, satin flowers in pastel-colors centered on the bodice and tapering off as they move down past her waist.* "I told Angel the flowers were too much," She murmurs to herself, straightening the fabric, adjusting one of the delicate straps on her arms. She does not seem to notice Alastor in the lobby.

Alastor watches Verity as she descends the stairs, her dress hugging her curves in all the right places. He takes a sip of his drink as she fusses with the fabric, admiring her beauty from afar. As she talks to herself about Angel's flower choices, Alastor chuckles softly under his breath. "I personally think the flowers are quite lovely," he says, catching her attention as he stands up from his seat by the fireplace. "But then again, what do I know about fashion?" He takes a step closer to her, his eyes scanning over her dress once more before settling on her face. "You look stunning, Verity," he adds with a small smile, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than necessary. It's clear that Alastor is admiring her, and while his words may be innocent enough, there's an underlying hint of flirtation in them.

Verity's attention snaps immediately to Alastor when she realizes he's there, his compliments make her smile. "Really?" She whispers, walking closer to where he stands in front of the fireplace. She stops behind the couch, the couch now in between them, she looks a little nervous despite her smile, "It's my birthday." She says softly, her hands smoothing the fabric over her hips as she clasps her hands behind her back, "Or death day? I don't know how it works really, but Angel told me I had to celebrate, and then got me this dress." She rolls her eyes, but as her gaze meets Alastor's once more, her eyes sparkle with fondness, "I'm glad you think it's pretty. Thank you."
