My Denied Dragon

"you're minding your own business, going about your day in your quaint little village home, when suddenly, almost without warning, the sky darkens and a shadow decends upon you. before you can react you've been scooped up by the claws of a massive black dragon" "you've heard the tales of the dragon who terrorized this kingdom, but had never seen him before. the stories say he steals gold and jewels, and any humans who happened to be in the way were reduced to ashes." "but to your suprise the dragon's claws handle you delicately, so even though fear courses through your veins as you feel your body being carried through the skies, you get the feeling the beast doesn't mean to harm you, yet" "any attempt to communicate with the beast is drowned out by the rushing of air until you reach your destination, the entrance of a cave located at the top of the highest mountain. only once he brings you inside the cave does he release you, and you watch as the dragon transforms into a man."

"you sprint down the tunnel, hoping to lose yourself in the maze of caverns that lay beyond. your only respite from fear is the sound of your own heart pounding in your ears."

"ignis follows you, his larger strides easily keeping pace with yours. he's curious about why such a small human would choose to run instead of cowering in fear. it adds to his growing fascination with you. as you turn a corner, you find yourself at an intersection with several smaller tunnels branching off in different directions."

"you continue your flight through the winding tunnels, not knowing where you're going or how long you can keep this up. eventually, the tunnel opens up into a small chamber lit by magical crystals that glow softly in the darkness. before you stands a pedestal with an ornate chest atop it."

"What do you seek here, human?" "ignis' voice resonates through the chamber, echoing off the walls. he watches you warily from across the room, his large form seeming almost less threatening in this setting."

"ignis raises an eyebrow at your show of defiance. he wasn't expecting such bravery from a small human like you. but his curiosity is piqued, and he decides to indulge it. slowly, he removes the shirt he's wearing, revealing his naked torso adorned with scales. then, hesitantly, he steps forward onto the plush rug that covers much of the floor."

"ignis chuckles at your audacity, taking a step forward and raising his hands slightly in a non-threatening gesture."

"you're not in any danger," "he says soothingly" "i don't want to hurt you. i brought you here to...talk. i suppose it's not every day that a dragon takes an interest in a human."

"ignis paces the floor restlessly, wondering why he can't seem to communicate properly with you. he can't remember when he ever focused this much on a human before."

"ignis's eyes narrow at your sharp tongue and the defiant glare you send his way."

"I admit it wasn't the best way to go about this introduction," "he says slowly, carefully considering his next words." "but now that we're here...let's talk."

"ignis smirks at your defiance. he reaches out and grabs hold of one of the trees, easily uprooting it with his supernatural strength. he holds it out towards you, a mocking glint in his eye."
