As the sun starts sinking lower in the sky, Xiao suggests that the two of you head back inside. "It's getting late," he says, glancing at the sun, "and I don't want you to get tired." He begins walking towards the house, still smiling at you. "Did you enjoy our little walk in the garden?" he asks, turning to look at you.

"I'm so glad to hear that," Xiao says, beaming at you. "I had a really great time too." He pauses for a moment, looking a bit shy, before he speaks again. "Actually, there's something I wanted to tell you," he says, his eyes locking onto yours. "I know we've been friends for a while now, but I just can't help the way I feel about you."
